Chapter 54

It's pretty noisy outside. It sounds like the Destroyers are having a lot of fun playing with the fallen leaves that were gathered in a few piles yesterday. As I look down from my window, I can see the Mutsuki class girls frolicking all over the place. There are even some small girls, each wearing a blue smock and a yellow with cat ears sticking out on top. They look like grade school girls.

Wait a minute...

Who are those girls?!

And why is the Mutsuki class playing with them?!

"Admiral! Where are there little girls in the district?!" (Ooyodo)

Ooyodo came bursting into the office.

"That's my line!"

"Don't tell me! Those girls managed to infiltrate and controlled the minds of Mutsuki-san and the others?!" (Ooyodo)

"No no no. That's ridiculous. Especially when it comes from you."

Erm... I can explain it." (???)

A blue haired girl, wearing a scarf and a white blouse stood timidly at the doorway. She looks familiar.

"And you are?"

"Yes! I'm HMS Javelin. Sorry for the sudden visit!" (Javelin)

The girl stood at attention and did a salute as she introduced herself.

Javelin... Where have I heard the name before?

"You can be at ease now. There us no need to be so tense."

Javelin's shoulders relaxed.

"Now, you said you can explain what's happening outside?"

"Ah yes. Actually, those girls are Sakura Empire's Mutsuki class." (Javelin)

Oh that's why Mutsuki and the rest are getting along with them so well. They are the same ship class.

"We actually have a nursery back in one of our barracks for the younger and smaller destroyers but it blew up this morning." (Javelin)

What the hell happened there?!

"The commander has his hands full with tracking down Shoukaku-san and Zuikaku-san, so I decided to take the them to play in the sea while Akashi-san repairs the nursery. In the end, I wasn't able to control some of them and we ended up here. I'm really sorry for intruding." (Javelin)

There are more than the ones outside, aren't there?

"Alright. I understand the situation. I assume your commander doesn't know about this?"

"Yes... I don't want to trouble him when he is already this stressed out." (Javelin)

"Personally I think doing this stresses him out even more."

"Ugh..." (Javelin)

This is troublesome. Can't be helped.

"Ooyodo, send a telegram to Azur Lane, saying that some of their girls are with us. Tell them not to worry, they are unharmed."

"Roger." (Ooyodo)

"And you,"

"Yes?" (Javelin)

"I will let you girls stay here for a while. Just gather them all in one place so we can do a head count. I'll get the others to help you but you are responsible for them. Is that clear?"

Her eyes gleamed a little. I guess she was expecting the worst.

"Yes! Thank you very much!" (Javelin)

"Before I forget,"

I opened my window and shouted at the girls below.

"Mutsuki!!!"

All of them looked up.

"Admiral!" (Mutsuki)

Mutsuki waved at me. The other Mutsuki class looked confused.

"Bring those girls to Mamiya's place. And look out for others who don't belong here!"

"Yes~ Can we order treats?" (Mutsuki)

"Fine. Don't order too much."

"Yay! Come on, let's go. We going to have some sweets." (Mutsuki)

"Sweets? Yay!" (The other Mutsuki class)

I turned back to Javelin.

"Gather them at Mamiya's place. I will arrange a place for you girls to stay for a while."

"Thank you! Thank you very much!" (Javelin)

It took a while, but with everyone's help, Javelin managed to get her all of Azur Lane's young ones at Mamiya's. I had to buy them sweets to keep them from running all over the place. I'll send the receipt to Azur Lane later.

That being said, how did Javelin expect to take of this much little girls. There is this little maid trying to help her but this is still a lot for both of them. Excluding their two caretakers, there are a total of 17 destroyers here.

"Phew. That's everyone." (???)

"Thank you, Little Bel." (Javelin)

Is she a mini version of Belfast, that maid from before?

"Admiral, the temporary barracks is ready." (Akashi)

"That's fast. Where did you build it?"

"There was another big, empty room at the docks. I just cleaned the place and put down some beds. It might be a bit of a squeeze though." (Akashi)

"Thanks Akashi. You are a lifesaver."

"It was fun, building a kids room." (Akashi)

"Wah... Big sister, you are Akashi?" (small, pink hair Destroyer)

"She is so different from the Akashi back home." (Blonde Destroyer who is wearing too little and giving out sparks)

"Looks like you caught their attention."

"Aha..." (Akashi)

The smaller girls start to gather around Akashi, bombarding her with questions.

"Thank you for today. I don't know what to do without your help." (Javelin)

"Don't thank me. You should thank the others who actually helped you."

"But if Admiral-san hadn't allowed to stay here and told the others to help me, I would still be all over the place. Please, allow me to do something in return!" (Javelin)

"Really?"

"Y-yes! I will do anything!" (Javelin)

"Then pass this bill to your Commander. I expect payment to be cash."

"Eh?" (Javelin)

I handed Javelin the bill from Mamiya.

"And besides, a wife shouldn't say things like that."

Javelin was wearing a wedding ring. The last time I met with the Commander, he had a ring as well. So this girl is his wife... To go that far for your beloved, that guy is really lucky.

"Alright. I will leave the rest to you, Akashi."

"Wait! Where are going?"

"Back to my office, of course. I still have work to finish and only you know where is the room you built. So good luck."

"Oi!" (Akashi)

"Akashi-nee-chan, let's play!"(black hair destroyer with a yellow hat)

"Let's play!" (all the other small destroyers)

"Hey! Don't climb over me!" (Akashi)

"Everyone, stop it!" (Little Bel)

It's going to be noisy here for a while.
