Chapter 7 - Ryden Carstensen

After the parade ended, Clyde was guided in one of the rooms inside the Imperial Palace. He don't have time to appreciate the Palace's beauty as his mind was busy thinking about what his next moves should be

With the Holy Water used to heal the wounds he got earlier, Clyde's plan was foiled

Originally, he thought of acting hurt in front of the Emperor. From what Clyde can remember, His Majesty wanted the 6th Prince to have a peaceful life

He had him marry a child from the Ducal House and he became the son-in-law of the Duke of Rothland

Since the prince's chance to take the throne was cut off, His Majesty wanted to use him to kill the Empire's enemies

After all, it was the 6th Prince's personal power that made the Emperor appreciate him, not the fact that he was his son

The Emperor is already old and Clyde heard that His Majesty doesn't want to see any conflict for the throne

The Emperor also fought for the throne. He naturally can see what is happening around him

If Clyde wants to survive, his next step should be to obtain the Emperor's pity. The 6th Prince has always been fighting in wars or other threats to the Empire. He also do not covet the throne yet the Empress is still not letting him off

Clyde being wed to the 6th Prince means that he is now an eyesore for the Empress, as can be seen in how he and the Duchess assassinated him in the past

If the 6th Prince use his life to protect the Empire without trying to take the throne yet the Empress is still set on killing him, how would the old Emperor act?

The problem was Clyde can't think of a way to have the Emperor protect him for the time being

This is causing his head to hurt

Clyde was too deep into his thinking that he didn't realize that another person entered his room

In fact, this room was a 'waiting room'. In the Empire, the Groom and Bride would walk together in the aisle

Clyde is here to wait for his spouse and he seems to have forgotten about that fact since he was busy thinking of ways on how he should survive

"Dang it! What should I do with this stupid wedding now?!" The newcomer muttered angrily while scratching the back of his head

He was also busy in his own world as he entered the room and he didn't even expect that someone would be inside it

The newcomer's voice entered Clyde's ears, returning him back to reality and the two stared at each other with shock written all over their face

Whether it be Clyde or the newcomer, both of their eyes went wide open in shock. They can't believe what their eyes can currently see

"W-what the! You are that idiotic people pleaser that died from an ulcer!" The man exclaimed loudly in shock

At first, Clyde thought that the person in front of him was just familiar. But after hearing those words, he was now almost sure about the identity of this person

But wait... idiotic people pleaser? What is with that unnecessary description?

"Y-you are... R-Ryden?!" Although Clyde is already 99% sure, he still asked to be completely sure

"Y-yes, it was me, your handsome doctor! What the heck, what are you doing here? Wait, if you are inside this room then that means you are my wife to be? But this doesn't make any sense! You should have been assassinated by now already!"

Now that Clyde thinks of it, the Emperor's illegitimate son is called Ryden Carstensen!

Base on this bastard's words, he should have his memories back on earth and he also knows that Clyde was supposed to be assassinated today

Could it be... the two of them are exactly the same? They originally lived in this world and were reborn on earth just to return after they died?

Clyde feels like he just earned a lifetime's worth of shock. He can't believe this extremely unexpected outcome

"You knew that I was assassinated? Does that mean you also lived in this world before you came to earth?" Clyde asked just to be sure and Ryden nodded his head

"Yeah, I was originally a Prince of this world but that damn Empress set me up! He made it look like I was the one that sent the assassins to kill my fiancee. Dang it, I don't even care about that throne or whatever but they accused me of wanting to marry a legitimate omega to gain support for the Throne! That's just absurd! "

Rydeen seethes in anger, he even kicked whatever his foot could kick. His face was painted with pure rage and Clyde can't help but blush

The 6th Prince of the Empire has some adjectives always used to describe him

The first one is that he was a musclehead. The kind of person that is all brawns and no brains

He has always been on the battlefield, causing his fighting skills to be honed but unfortunately, he was a complete airhead

The second adjective was... extremely handsome! People have always been in awe of the Prince's appearance

Standing at 6'3 in height, the 6th Prince was tall compared to most people. He has blonde golden hair, a dominant trait of the Royal Family

His eyes on the other hand were a pair of striking clear blue ones that would make people be reminded of the clear skies

The 6th Prince's eyes were enchanting but that further alienated him from the legitimate Princes and Princesses as they have either gold or red-colored eyes

Ryden has a rough appearance and his demeanor was far from being prince-like. He gave the feeling of a ruffian or a person that always fought in the streets

But even then, his rough demeanor and handsome looks made him look extremely attractive

Thanks to living in the Carstensen Empire in his first life and he was even an omega, Clyde has always been attracted to handsome and manly guys

The rage from Ryden's face just made him even more attractive in Clyde's eyes

"Why are you staring at me?" Ryden asked, proving his reputation as an airhead

If it were other people, they would notice that Clyde was infatuated with his appearance but he didn't even notice that

"Is there something in my face? Fuck, is this another scheme of the Empress? Does he want me to look bad in front of the Emperor and have me executed again? Shit, why did I even return in this hellish life?" Ryden was filled with complaints

He doesn't know why he was returned to the Carstensen Empire. Back on earth, he was already living a completely normal and peaceful life!

The earth doesn't have much danger compared to this world. The Royals and Nobles are horrible people, they would even kill if that is the way for them to obtain what they desire

Ryden has never liked this world after living on earth. In there, as long as a person has money, they wouldn't face that many problems

There were also no royalties and aristocrats. There is still a division between the people but it was not as distinct compared to this world

Ryden thought that he would live a quiet life in there but someone just has to return him here and for what? What is the reason? Why did they send him back?

Ryden stared at Clyde that instantly became flustered. Both in his first and second life, Clyde always focused on being accepted by the family. He never had someone as handsome as Ryden stare at him this intensely

"Y-you! This is all your fault!" Ryden accused loudly causing Clyde to blink his eyes repeatedly

What did he do? What was his fault this time?

"Before you died, you wished that you would meet me in your next life and now both of us are here! Arrghhh! Is this your way of revenge for all the things that I said? I take my words back as long as you bring me back to earth! "

Haaaa... in some ways, the world is still fair. Ryden might be handsome but he also has negative traits

The first one is that he is an idiot and the second one is he is too loud! He doesn't need to shout in every single thing, it's annoying!

How could a Prince act like this?

"You jer— Your Highness, I don't believe that it is my fault" Clyde almost called this man a jerk

Although Ryden is really a jerk, Clyde still can't call him in that way. After the initial shock, Clyde calmed down

They don't know if there are eyes watching and ears listening to them. Clyde can't insult a Royal if he doesn't want to be beheaded

"E-eh? What's that? It sounds creepy coming from you" Ryden shuddered. It has been a long time already since someone addressed him as 'Your Highness' and for it to even come from the people pleaser - Clyde.... Ryden had goosebumps all over his body
