When a person always won against someone, that would cause them to be overconfident and underestimate their enemy

Despite preparing a gift for the 6th Prince's wedding, the Empress couldn't give it to the Prince anymore

As the two were both tired at all the things that happened today, they went straight to the bedroom amidst the maid's flustered looks

"Finally, we can rest!" Clyde breathed out a sigh of relief while jumping in the bed. The graceful movements that he always showed as a part of the Nobility have vanished as he wants comfort

"Are you alright? Did the slap hurt that much? Why did you even do that? I could protect myself well!" Ryden instantly bombarded Clyde with questions and the man sat on the edge of the bed

"I'm not that weak you know. This doesn't hurt much" Clyde said in reassurance

Everything was only part of his acting. It's not possible for him to get sick just because of a single slap

"Anyway, we have to plan our next moves if we want to continue living"

Despite how badly he wants to rest, Clyde still knows that this is not the time for that. They could lose their life any moment from now and they can't slack off

"There's still tomorrow for that. For now, go wash up and sleep. You need to rest" Ryden insisted

He doesn't think that Clyde was merely acting earlier. Although they didn't marry each other for love, Ryden despite being a bit of a scoundrel still has a huge sense of responsibility

Now that Clyde became his wife, he must take good care of him

Unfortunately for Ryden, Clyde thought that he was just being lazy. As a result, Clyde shook his head

"I can do that later but we really need to think of a plan. I'm sure that the Empress and even the Duchess wouldn't let us live easily" Clyde said with a sigh. Those two wicked people surely wouldn't give them peace

Hearing that, Ryden can't help but frown. Why is this guy so disobedient? Aren't the omegas in this world submissive to their alphas? Why does Ryden feel like Clyde is leading him on?

This wouldn't do, Ryden has to show his 'masculinity' and show Clyde who is the boss here!

"If I say that you need to wash up, go wash up! Don't make me repeat myself!" Ryden said imposingly, trying to exert his dominance but Clyde merely roll his eyes at him
