Chapter 39 - NOT EDITED YET

At first, Ryden was a bit hurt by Clyde's words. Does his own wife actually still loves his former husband back on earth even though he would never meet him again?

What kind of man could take something like that easily?

However, the latter words of Clyde made him feel better. Clyde said that he doesn't want a child but only for now

As they are wed with each other, naturally, the child they will have are theirs

Clyde saying that he doesn't want a child yet means that he would want to have them with Ryden in the future

That's how simple Ryden's mind was!

"W-we will just ask the servants for birth controls. Calm down first" Ryden tried to sooth his wife's panic but what he received was a smack in the head

"Did you not hear what I said?! With how much we showed we love each other, what would people think if they were to know that I was using birth controls?!" Clyde questioned in extreme anger and the Prince scratches the back of his head

"T-then we'll just say that I fear that something bad would happen to you during pregnancy and labor?" Ryden tried to make yet another solution but his wife also can't allow that

"Out of all the chances we have to birth controls, you want to use it after more than a month? People would just be kore suspicious of us! You suddenly became a madman after the wedding and even all the maids are replaced! As of right now, they only think of it as a coincidence but the more suspicions we give to them the more vulnerable we would be!"

Although Clyde's plans have given them a moment of piece but it's not like they look 100% innocent

There's bound to still be some suspicions towards them. As of right now, the suspicions are still just a small one but the more careless they are, the more people would suspect them

"O-okay..." Ryden can only say that pitifully and with how urgent the situation was, the brain that he doesn't like using was actually used by him as he thought of another solution

"I-I got it! I have a trustworthy man that can buy birth controls for us!" Ryden suggested and if Clyde wasn't panicking, he might realize who his husband was talking about. However, as of right now, as long as that person is trustworthy, then no matter who they are, Clyde would accept

"G-go! Hurry! I can't get pregnant!" Clyde replied hastily

"B-but about that, you have to promise me one thing first"

"I promise! I promise! Now go! We don't have much time"

"O-okay, just promise that if this person w-were to do something bad or d-did something bad to you, y-you will forgive him once!" Ryden said anxiously

With how smart his wife has, his wicked plan might he found out by him

Fortunately, no matter how smart a person was, as long as their mental state is in a great disorder, their intelligence would still suffer

"Alrigh! Alright! I got it, even if they massacre my entire family I will forgive them. Just hurry and go get me the birth controls!" Clyde replied impatiently and Ryden stood up from his seat with a smile

"I was talking about David. He can get is birthcontrols without anyone else knowing. He was also the one that 'accidentally' drugs you but you already promised that you will forgive him. That's all, bye!"

After finishing his words, Ryden immediately run away before the exploding devil can take his life

He gave his friend's life back to his whil risking his own. David should cry tears of gratitude for such a huge 'sacrifice' in Ryden's part

When Ryden's words sinked in to Clyde's mind, his whole vision turned red

Asshole! What an asshole! Ryden actually fooled him?! That fool fooled him?!

Clyde has so much anger that he doesn't know what to do about it anymore

However, in the end, since he already gave his promise, he has to fulfill it!

The most important thing right now is getting those birth controls!

1 week later

Clyde's plans got a bit delayed thanks to a certain incident but now, he has to continue and purge that spy of a butler out

"Go out" Clyde said coldly to his husband

"O-out? A-are you kicking me out of the Manor?" Ryden asks with invisible tears in his eyes

For the past week, his wife has become even more irritable towards him. It's like he would receive the man's wrath even if he were to just breath a bit louder than normal people does

Ryden was really walking on eggshells for the past week and he can only internally cry rivers of blood. His wife was really scary!

"I wish I can do that but I can't. When I'm expelling the butler, you must be out of the Manor. Use that bastard, demon friend of yours as an excuse. Go explore the city or whatever"

Hearing that, Ryden cried inside him ayain. He originally planned to have a date with Clyde before but after what happened, how can Ryden have his date?

If he were to ask about it, Clyde might just chew him again

"O-okay... I will take David out.." Ryden said pitifully as he walked out of their bedroom

He was like a pitiful puppy that got hurt by its owner's words

Even Clyde's heart softened a bit by that. He knows how badly he was treating Ryden was but he can't help it

First of all, Ryden is the only person that he can be completely comfortable with as to others, he always has to wear a mask

Secondly, Clyde was still ashamed by what happened last week and the only way he can do to cope up with that was to always act aggressively in front of Ryden

Lastly, Clyde doesn't exactly know what he should do to treat Ryden better. He was too used at how he usually treats him!

"S-should I really invite him for a stroll in the city after expelling the butler?" Clyde thought to himself. He wants to do something good for Ryden at least once but he was still internally conflicted

But for now, Clyde removed the thoughts about that first as he called for the butler after some time that Ryden is gone from the Manor

When the butler arrives, Clyde saw the man's pitiful state. The incident from before where he accused Clyde naturally made his standing in the manor shaky

All the servants only felt hostility towards him especially with the way he treats them

Not to mention, he was in the brink of being punished for embezzling funds and he can't report anything good to the Empress

Now that Clyde has called for him, the butler felt worried for what the devil wants with him

Others think that the Princess Consort was a very kind person but the butler already saw his real face and he wouldn't foolishly think like them

"Your Highness, you called for me?" The butler asked while raising his guard

In front of this butler, Clyde won't bother hiding his real intentions. In fact, he made himself look and feel as evil as possible

"It might be hard knowing that your good days are already coming to an end. I bet you can't sleep soundly in the night at the thought of how your crimes would be known by everyone" Clyde said with a chuckle and the butler shuddered a bit

However, rule number 1 for criminals is that they never admit their crimes

"I-I don't know what you are talking about, Your Highness" the butler feigned ignorance and Clyde walked towards him

The imposing manner he releases was different from what people can usually see from him

After all, Clyde was only a weakling and dumb in front of his families. Back on earth, he gained an overwhelming aura as a CEO of the company that he startes from scratch that made him a lot of money

As the CEO, he naturally isn't a weakling. It's just that his dumb dream of having his family show their love to him made him do a lot of useless and stupid things

But since Clyde doesn't have to worry about his family's view on him anymore, it doesn't matter anymore

Clyde can show an imposing version of himself to people that he would deal with

His actions made the butler took steps back until his back reaches the door

"Y-Your Highness..." the butler called put anxiously but Clyde's smile just deepened as he raised the notebook in his hand

"I already have evidence of your embezzlement" Clyde said and placed the notebook in front of the butler's face

As that was allegedly the evidence, the butler tried taking it to destroy the evidence but Clyde's hand was faster than him

"Nah uh uh, I wouldn't give it to you"
