"I apologize for my lack of information but rest assured, I would investigate the origins of these assassins" Kervy promises

Although he is not the one that is at fault here, he can still understand how worried Ryden must have been to the point of lashing out at him

Besides, it was him that told them that the thugs would come from the outside resulting in Ryden staying outside that in return gave the assassins the chance to almost kill Clyde

"Kervy, go guard outside in case the thugs would still arrive and the assassins are sent by different people" Clyde said as despite hissin from the pain, he still maintained a level headedness and calmness

"Okay, I promise that even if the thugs arrive, they wouldn't be able to make a scene" Kervy said before walking away, giving the two their privacy

Clyde originally want Ryden to continue guarding oustide but with how this man acts, he is sure that Ryden would undeniably refuse and stay with him

Clyde forcefully bear the pain until his wound was temporarily bandaged by his husband

"Let's go, just let me do one thing" Clyde said and in a hurry, he had Ryden take his outer suit of and placed it on his shoulders

Since the bandaged that was use to dress Clyde's wound came from the clothes that Ryden was wearing, one of its sleeve was torn off and Clyde had his husband tear the other sleeve before they went outside the bar and he talked with bar's staff

In just a span of a few minutes, many things have happened. The customers were already about to go home as they don't have a bad feeling as to why the lights were out when suddenly, a light finally appeared 

However, the light was only a spotlight that shone upon Clyde's body

Although his face was a bit pale from the pain and the loss of blood, his bright smile made people not realize his current state

He has a coat placed in his shoulders but its sleeves were weirdly torn. However, before the customers can ask what is happening, Clyde already opened his mouth as he starts singing

The song that Clyde sang was one from the modern earth and sounds fresh to the people in the Empire

The singers in the Empire are opera singers and they mostly have the same type of singing

They are indeed quite good but at the same time since almost all of them are the same, the audience would get tired of their voice after some time

Since Clyde has a perfectly different way of singing, he managed to capture the audience's attention and they all stared at him while listening to his voice

He might not be as good as the best singers in the Empire but there are times when something new can beat the best 

At this moment, Clyde was that something new and he hooked up all the audience without them knowing how much pain he was suffering from

The song he sing mostly has high notes and Clyde can already feel his wound worsening and bleeding more blood

His husband that was on the side can't even enjoy his unexpectedly good singing voice as he was completely filled with worry 

If it was just Ryden, he would have taken Clyde back to the Manor already to properly treat his wound

But since Clyde also has great stubborness inside him, Ryden can only let his wifr continue singing in front of the crowd

Those people cannot see it but Ryden can see Clyde's face getting paler the more time that passed

Fortunately, since no one really know the song that Clyde sang, he managed to cut it short withoit anyone noticing

After he sang, Clyde bowed his head and he didn't even wait for the audience to react as he already walked away while the lights were turned off again

When the lights finally returned, Clyde was not in the scene anymore and the customers starts to applaud

Despite the singer not being present, his good singing voice still made the customers admire him

Back at the Manor

Ryden just finished properly treating his wife or more like he let the doctors in the Manor do most of the job

After all, available medicines and medical treatment on earth are different from the ones in the Empire

Ryden is not familiar with the way people in the Empire treats the patients. Not to mention, he specializes in the treatment of human digestive tract and now caring for physical wounds like a stab wound

"Did you really have to do that? You are lucky that the wound wasn't that deep! If it was, who knows what happened to you by now" Ryden scolded

The scene was tonight was like a reversal of the usual scene between the two. After all, it was almost always Clyde that does the scolding and not the other way around

Clyde can only shrink in the bed as he knew that he was wrong. He just didn't expect that Ryden would be this angry as if the man is going to explode any moment from now

As Clyde don't know what to do to calm the raging man, he can only use the things he knows how to use

"I'm sorry" Clyde apologizes before he motioned for Ryden to come close to him

When Ryden was close enough, Clyde suddenly hooked his arms around the man's nape

Since Ryden's favorite thing was sex and it is the only thing that Clyde knows might calm the man down then might as well use it to his advantage 

Anyway, they had already done it multiple times and Clyde wasn't as shock anymore

However, before Clyde can deepen the kiss and do something more, Ryden already pulled away from the kiss

"What do you think of me, a beast? Do you really think that I would do it with an injured man?" Ryden asks with a red face from both anger and lust

He was clearly arouse by the kiss but at the same time he was extremely angry

Clyde can only lower his head guiltily. Truth be told, he really expected that Ryden would accept the kiss and forgive him

He didn't expect that it would just make Ryden angrier

Seeing the guilty expression of his wife, Ryden clawed his fingers as if he was trying not to destroy everything in his path

"Oh my god! You do think of me as a lustful beast!" Ryden said. His anger poking a hole into the skies and reaching the highest heavens

He looks completely enrage with the veins in his body popping

"W-what? N-no… I-I d-don't think like t-that!" Clyde lied though it wasn't effective 

"Fine! Fine! What a beast I am. Gosh, I feel like my concern is wasted!!!" 

This time, Ryden was completely upset. Here he was, scolding Clyde so that the man would not repeat what he did tonight ever again in an unfortunate event that it happened once again the future

However, the person he was worried for actually thought that sex would fix his anger

I mean, Ryden's anger would indeed lessen. He's not going to lie about that but at the same time, he is also not someone that would have sex with an injured man

He was not that low, okay?

Ryden starts pacing back and forth in their bedroom trying to calm himself. However, it seems to not be easy as he would stomp his feet into the ground from time to time

Clyde can only flinch guiltily every time that happens

The omega starts racking his brain on what he should do to remove Ryden's anger and after minuted of thinking, he thought of something 

"Y-you… do you remember when I said that we should take a vacation?" Clyde asks and in reply, Ryden just nodded his head in an aggressive way as if he wants to show that he is still really angry though it was already completely obvious 

"Why don't we do that starting tomorrow? My wound isn't that deep and I can take a slow travel" Clyde suggested and Ryden looked at him with raise brows

"You? Wouldn't you just continue working again tomorrow as if nothing happened?" Ryden asks with a sneer and Clyde felt another fang of guilt

Truth be told, that would most likely be what he would do tomorrow if not for Ryden being angry

Clyde would investigate who sent the assassins and start planning on how to deal with them

Only because Ryden wad angry that he even suggested going in a vacation this early 

"H-hahahaha…. O-of course not. I-I'm hurt, h-how can I think a-about work?" Clyde aaid guitily, lying through gritted teeth that made Ryden sneer deeply at hun

Knowing his wife, Ryden was sure that working was indeed Clyde's original plan

However, since this is a rare chance, Ryden also don't want to miss it
