Chapter 14:Purple Infinity Core, the Secret Stage.

Lie Wei Ying was still in front of the torches 2 minutes later.

He tried a lot of things he imagined you were supposed to do in these situations. However, he finally realized he could just blow up the wall.

His Qi once more condensed into a large fist. Then like a loose cannon it smacked against the steel bricks.

"Boom!"

The wall burst open as Lie Wei Ying waited for the debris to clear. A second later, he discovered a staircase. It led to a room where the counts were waiting. Well, it was more like they were hiding there and waiting for him to fall for their trap. Feng Mian was there under little god's hypnotizing spell completely unaware of what was in the closet she was supposed to point at. However, because of the spell, she sort of had to tell him to do it.

Regardless, he flew in like a brave knight through the glowing doorway.

Feng Mian was tied up in a chair as Lie Wei Ying arrived. He was immediately shocked to see her and didn't waste a second to think about what he had to do. He did what any hero would do, even though he didn't truthfully consider himself that type. He gripped the shackles tightened around her dress. It all happened in an instant.

Basically, when he arrived he was so fast that the girl couldn't tell him to check in the closet. The ten counts giggled as he placed his hands on the chain and yanked on it. Those chains were called the Emperor's shackles. You could only break them with tremendous strength, and they expected Lie Wei Ying to fail miserably. However, the next second the boy flung them away!

Those chains required enough strength to lift a mountain! The boy was clearly not a golden stage cultivator regardless of the reports!

Yes, it was simply impossible for someone at his level to be that strong. They were simply astounded and quaked in their boots.

Then, at the next moment, it dawned on count Strongestman. He realized the boy must have been one of the lucky ones. He most likely had a supreme universal manual or had some sort of device in his body. Otherwise, that would've been impossible!

They watched Feng Mian hoping she would say something to get the boy to go into the closet. She looked up at Lie Wie Ying before she turned her head sideways. "Uhm, what are you doing," She said with a confused expression. "You were supposed to get the key first?" She pointed over towards where the closet was. "It's right in there."

The plan was full proof. All Lie Wei Ying had to do was check in the closet, and a destruction array would activate! Such things were made from layering and stacking spell diagrams. Some men even spent countless eons learning about them. It was because Arrays could pack tremendous power and increase abilities immensely if you were in distance of them.

Unfortunately Lie Wei Ying didn't see a reason for a key. If he did open the closet though, the destruction array would have activated. Then he would have been blown away, and even if he didn't die immediately they'd have killed him in the rubble.

However, like many things, plans weren't full proof. They completely forgot to consider his speed. The girl was only in the foundation stage. Compared to someone in the late golden core stage a foundation stage cultivator was much weaker. Yes, it was like comparing apples and oranges! Except the disparity was even larger than those two-particular fruit!

She sighed before she stood up out of her chair. "How about I show you were the key is? That way you'll be able to keep it."

The counts were very impressed with her plan. Once she got him to that door, even if they had to lose her it wouldn't matter. She was already passed the early foundation stage, so she was practically useless to little god.

Yes, even if she blew up into little smithereens, it was better than leaving her alone! If she somehow got powerful enough to break the spell, the consequences would be horrible.

Regardless, they were just hoping Lie Wei Ying would buy into it.

Lie Wei Ying hovered off the ground and began floating towards the closet. When he arrived there, a second later he picked Feng Mian up into the air by plucking at her dress.

"Sorry Feng Mian, you'll be safer somewhere else."

Lie Wei Ying could tell as soon as he walked in that this was a trap. Even though he wasn't very intelligent at his current age, he'd truthfully heard someone breathing behind the walls. His abilities were very enhanced now, and the men here must have thought they were clever. Yet, he wasn't going to fall for this trap, and he wasn't going to waste his time on some weak chains.

Lie Wei Ying flicked his hand sending Feng Mian away into the bed in the room. The space had an abundant supply of beds screwed against the walls, and it looked like the most harmless way to send Feng Mian away from him.

He drew his daggers as he waited for the men to exit from behind the wall.

"Ha, so if it isn't the legendary hero the girls were all talking about," Count strongestman said revealing himself bravely. "However, I hope you know here you're going to die right now."

The nine other counts laughed as they also appeared out of some cupboards. They were hiding in the most secretive place they could think of. Unfortunately, Count Seed couldn't contain his breath as Lie Wei Ying walked to the closet. It was just enough to stop him from proceeding.

If only Count Seed knew what he had just done, he would've probably dug his own grave instead of Lie Wei Ying trying to do it.

"So, you nine think it's funny to use girls as bait," Lie Wei Ying said with a slightly deep voice coming out of his little body.

He really didn't like the idea of a girl being used in such situations. In fact, it made him very mad. Girls were supposed to be cherished and taken care of. They weren't meant to be put in a town under spells! If you were going to have a lot of them, they should all be willing! Yet, whomever this little god was, he had an entire city of women under his spell. Then there was these odd counts who looked like pale dolls. He had enough of this whole charade.

"Well, you think you're any better boy? Didn't you kill countless monsters to get here? Don't you know that those are just regular people the boss saved?"

Lie Wei Ying sighed. The point was that they weren't supposed to use girls as bait. Also, of course this town bothered him. It was like an entire town of hypnotized girls!

"Well, you're acting like you can reason with me. You're forgetting I'm here to kill you," Lie Wie Ying said with a smile on his face. The next second all eleven of the men in the room moved.

Lie Wei Ying's blades glowed as he externalized the energy around him.

Since he was getting close to the nascent stage, he'd soon be able to partake in the more interesting parts of a cultivator's journey to godhood. In the Nascent Stage, you'd have a chance at entering something called the Dao. However, there were countless Dao, and Lie Wei Ying was still at the eighth stage.

Count Strongestman, however, was already way past that. Unfortunately, he had yet to enter any Dao. As he drew his katana, along with his nine other counts, they were all expecting to win without one. Even though the boy was strong, they had an entire team.

"Boom!"

Lie Wei Ying, however, was not the type to disappoint. As all of the men approached him, he infused energy into the [extremely OP daggers of the inferno]. The image instantly appeared with a proud expression his face. He was starting to feel more alive!

Feng Mian smiled as she saw twilight start to peak its head. She was about to regain consciousness, and would no longer be trapped by that strange feeling in her heart. At the next moment, though, she gasped.

The small boy, whom she wanted to grow up to marry, looked like he disappeared. In her eyes sparks sprinkled in the room as she tried to follow the battle. One moment, Lie Wei Ying seemed to be present in front of her. However, the next he was gone. Finally, one of the counts ended up falling through the floor with a blade through his heart.

The young boy held out his hand before the dagger seemed to levitate back to him.

"You've killed Count Strongest Man."

Exp + 600,000

"Congratulations, you've leveled up to Golden Core Stage 9"

The system was very proud of this boy right now and was hoping to someday be just as real as him. However, he also didn't want to reflect on anything too much right now. He put his whole focus on the battle!

…..

"You're a monster! You're not a hero," Count Seed said as he looked at the dagger stabbed into his heart.

"Ha, well, I appreciate the compliment," Lie Wei Ying said with a smile on his face.

He was down to the last Count as eight other bodies were scattered in the basement below.

At the next moment, he turned the dagger before he received the message he was waiting for.

"Congratulations, you've leveled up to the maximum golden core. However, the system would like to offer you a choice. Would you like to upgrade to the purple infinity core stage? Yes / No?"
