1 Reincarnation

Sebastian James Scarbrough is an 18 year old teenager living in Oxford. He is a highschool student with passing marks, spending most of his time playing the popular game Paradise: the Infinite world. He is short with a height only about 5 feet 5 inches tall, with black hair, small eyes, a fat nose, slightly bulging lips and an unathletic physique. Sebastian is a british-chinese with 2 siblings, a younger brother and an older sister who's mother had died of lung cancer when he was only 6 years old. The three were abused by their british father who raped his sister and killed her. He was then sent to jail after a neighbor reported strange noises coming from the next door.

He was then adopted by the Child Protection Agency at the age of 12 alongside his younger brother and lived in a dormitory provided by the agency at his school. He was quickly bullied by seniors for his bad academic performance, small eyes, unattractive physique and his gaming addiction, only having 3 friends who are also bullied for similar reasons. At the age of 15, he could not withstand the bullying any longer and made a pact with the seniors to watch porn in exchange for being accepted. When he watched it, the seniors secretly recorded him watching it and framed him causing the school to punish him heavily.

After watching those scenes, he was cursed with a porn addiction and became a pervert, disliked by any students. His gaming addiction increased as more pressure was placed on him using the online world to escape his predicament. To add to his problems, his friends started to disappear one by one and loneliness quickly crept into his mind. Without friends, he has barely any reason to live. His little brother also disappeared and he had no one to talk to anymore. He then decided to commit suicide right after his 18th birthday that he would usually celebrate with his now gone friends.

It was a full moon night, the pale rays of the moon crept through the window. His room was a mess, like a typhoon had just past. There are books littered around his bed and table. The moonlight shone on him as he played his last game in this world. He prepared his suicide by stealing a cyanide pill from the hospital a few days before. His in game character is ranked no. 4 in the game, being far more capable and powerful than he is also being far more attractive than him. Sebastian was always jealous of his character and others in his school who were both smart and handsome. He believed that they were the luckiest of all people who are both smart and attractive, but he hated them because they abused their gifts.

After playing for 3 hours, he was about to log off but he suddenly recieved a prompt on his phone's screen. The prompt is rectangular with a gold outline and a black background, the prompt covered only a medium portion of the screen floating in the middle.

The text was gold and it read, "Would you like to enter a new world?" He thought that it was just another game prompt and quickly pressed no. However, another prompt appeared with a different text, "You sure? You can leave this world for real, not to mention that if you accept, all you problems will go away." Sebastian simply dismissed the prompt as a bug but agreed anyway because he was desperate and he had nothing to lose.

As he pressed the button, a prompt appeared and a young female voice spoke, "Congratulations on your new life!" After the message ended, he was dumbstruck and then his vision turned black completely and he panicked. 'Is this really the end?' he thought. Then, a white glowing text appeared from the infinite darkness followed by a welcome spoken by a young female voice. He looked at the white text that formed a welcome. It then transformed into 'Initializing'

Suddenly, a wooden domed room formed around him. 12 colored windows depict twelve different figures on the dome's inner surface. The wood formed a circle at the brink of the dome and another circle forms 3m below it with 12 wooden arches supporting the lower circle. The welcome text stayed afloat before transforming into a large colorless transparent screen floating 1m off the ground and 1m below the brink of the dome measuring 7m in height and twice in length. The screen covered most of his vision.

The screen displayed 'beginning character creation' in white at the same time as the young female voice heralded the message. Sebastian tried to look around but his gaze was fixed. Suddenly a character data sheet appeared on the screen.

A realistic hologram of a beautiful young woman with long black hair wearing a white dress appeared out from the screen like a dividing cell. She looked at Sebastian and flashed a smile, "My name is Hirani, I am the Valkyrie tasked with helping you explore and live in this world. If you have any questions, please ask or would you like to proceed to creating your form?" Sebastian forced a smile and is completely dumbfounded with the amount of knowledge he is supposed to process. 'Am I dead or is this a dream?' He thought.
