22 They Can Talk!!!

After Theresa led the prayer, Sebastian stepped up to the wooden stage and announced the food that will be served. "Thank you for allowing us to serve you lunch. Today, this feast will be opened by three exotic dishes from the Anansha continent." When the nobles heard that it from those continent, they grew interested. Even as major nobles in the kingdom, they have only heard rumors about the other continents. Getting to taste food from unknown and unreachable places is a large privilege on its own.

With this, the major nobles have bragging rights towards the nobles of the other kingdoms. Their admiration and respect towards the young marquis grew. After a few seconds, he clapped his hands and a hundred servants in nobility like garments emerge, carrying a silver plate with the three dishes on it. When most of the tables have been served with the silver plate, he started the feast with a simple bon apetit. He went down and walked to his seat, once the nobles had tasted the pork dishes, their face become with delight.

The nobles praise the taste and texture of the dishes. The honey sauced pork tasted very sweet, the younger nobles like it the most. The spicy porkchops had a very crispy texture and its taste easily defeated the taste of chicken wings by a mile. The pork soup is just the perfect dish to push down the other dishes down their satisfied throats. Even the royal family had to admit that the chefs in their palace could not cook something this delightful.

Most of the nobles demanded for another portion, this dish is so good that they could eat more than ever. He had 2 more backup portions for the nobles, the rest of the meat is given to the city's various meat vendors to be sold. Despite having tasted some of the pork and sauce while helping Li Yao, he couldn't help but be very surprised at her cooking abilities. He didn't expect monsters to know how to cook at all as they usually ate raw food.

Anyways, he did not order the extra portions. As a vampire, he could eat normal food like humans but he had a weekly limit. If he had become a Tier 5 vampire, this limit would disappear completely and he can enjoy human foods again. The feast ended an hour early as the nobles practically stuffed the very tasty pork dishes into their mouths and their stomachs are already full of food.

For the entertainment, the royal family brought in the royal fool. The jokes of the fool are very out of age for him since they are from different centuries. While the major nobles laughed at the jokes, he left the square to meet Hailyn and the two. When he is about to leave, the eldest princess noticed him and followed in secret. She gave the excuse of wanting to get a little fresh air to her parents and siblings.

Sebastian contacted Hailyn upon leaving the square. She told him that she'll be in the closest guardian beast summoning array. He did not rush while walking there, instead took a stroll and did sightseeing, taking twice the time to travel there. The eldest princess followed in suit, she walked behind him quietly. The king's visit made it hard to find much people in the streets therefore the sound of her footsteps could not be masked by the footsteps of others.

Once he had reached the summoning array, he is met with an idle Hailyn observing the fight between her top students in cloaks. For a normal human, all they can observe are just sounds of metal clashing and circular airwaves appearing in the air. The scene is similar to how dragon ball fights happen. As Sebastian approached her, she turned at him and greeted him. He asked in return, "How strong are they?" She replied, "They're both equal in their abilities. Despite both being triple mutated, Svarok covered the gap in combat rank by having two bloodlines instead of one. Both of them are on mutated Eternal-1 rank overall."

The eldest princess had just arrived at the scene, hiding behind one of the buildings. She sensed a great amount of power coming from above the duo. She could immediately sense that there are two beings clashing and their power seems to be on the eternal rank. When she sensed that, she became alert. She suspected that Sebastian wanted to assassinate her father and usurp the throne and the eternals are an insurance for that plan. She immediately ran to call her father but her body suddenly stopped following her commands and she froze in place.

'Why can't I move?' A chill swept past her shoulder and a soft whisper entered her left ear. "So, you think that I am trying to kill your father." A slight chuckle escaped his mouth before he continues, "For a fact, I am stronger than the ones you saw." A cold sweat formed on her forehead and flowed down her perfect face. If what he said is true, killing everyone there would be a piece of cake for him. Then again, that meant that things don't add up and she couldn't help but try to understand her accusations.

"Realise it huh? Why would I get my subordinates to assassinate them if I am closer and stronger than they are." She started to shiver as she had realised that he read her mind. 'Just who is he?' He leaned closer to her neck, causing her to feel a tingling sensation on her neck. "For your information, I don't have any reason to kill your father or your family at all. I want them as allies not as enemies. Now your highness, please stop following me everywhere." Her muscles started to warm up again and in an instant, she could move her muscles.

She turned back to where Sebastian was but found him 30 yards away with the black haired lady, talking to two large cloaked figures. Not wanting to try her luck on him, she left. However, that encounter with him gave her a sexy impression on him instead of a fearful one. In all of her life, no man had been able to dominate her. Now that she had found one, she found it as something sexy and crushed on him harder, although she wouldn't admit it.

The feast's duration should end in 10 minutes. In the 10 minutes of talking to Hailyn, she had brought tribute for the king and taught the monsters the etiquette of respect for the king. Hailyn revealed that the tribute will be a pile of enchanted golden jewelry and special stones that will allow one to not be attacked by any monster from Regarus forest. "Wow, that's very generous of you Hailyn." These items are priceless, things that will prevent monster attacks are ultra useful items that even empires coveted but could barely even find let alone have.

For Hailyn, these items are easy to manufacture. As the empress of Regarus forest and the areas around it, she could put some of her power inside of it to command the monsters of her territory to stay away or be killed. Since the feast's duration is about to end, Sebastian, Hailyn and the two monsters went back to the town square. As the two are still cloaked, their appearance is still concealed. While on his way there, he had purchased 6 logs of wood from a nearby shop and stored it inside the wood crystal before entering the town square.

As the feast ended, the king stepped up to the stage and gave a thank you speech. Thanks to Sebastian's new city, the other kingdoms plan to make new trading routes through this city. This will increase the kingdom's economy and allow it to prosper. Also, with Sebastian's power and abilities, they can retake more neutral land from monsters and expand further. He ended the speech with an encouraging statement that they will soon become an empire.

As a gift to Sebastian, he made him a duke of the kingdom and gave him a special ring that allows him to speak to the king at any time. Even though the presents he received are very precious things that even the other dukes do not have, they do not harbor any hate towards him because if not for him, they could have tasted such fine dishes. As the king stepped down from the wooden stage, Hailyn walked up to the stage with two cloaked figures behind her.

The general and the royal guard stood on guard just in case they are hostile. Without wasting any time, Hailyn then started to speak, "Your highnesses. My name is Hailyn, a servant of Lord Sebastian. My presence on the stage is for me to unveil a recent plan my Lord and I have devised." She commanded, "Svarok, Urin, take off your cloaks!" The two figures removed their cloaks and reveal their forms. One of them is a diamond blue dragon with eagle like blue wings. The other is a knight in dark silver armor.

"They're monsters!", "Aaah! We're gonna die!" The nobility instantly panicked. The cultivators of the nobility prepared their weapons, spears, staffs, swords, axes, bows and any other medieval weapon that they could carry. They all immediately took a defensive stance, the royal guards protecting the royal family. Hailyn simply chuckled at the sight and spoke, "Svarok, Urin, introduce yourselves to the human nobility." This time Urin started first and spoke with his mature, heroic voice, "I am Urin, a triple mutated monster of the Immortal-8 rank. It is a pleasure to meet your highnesses."

He did a knightly bow before Svarok introduced himself in his human like reptilian voice, "I am Svarok, a triple mutated monster of the Immortal-7 rank. It is a pleasure to meet your lordships." He also did a polite bow. Almost all at the same time, the nobles exclaimed in surprise, their mouths agape. "They can Talk!!!" Sebastian merely smiled at their response, he didn't expect the kingdom's nobility to not be aware of smart monsters.
