28 Kingdom League

As he flew down onto the stone bridge, he saw Theresa waiting for him in front of the library's doors. After transforming back into his human form, Theresa spoke, "My Lord, have you been researching time magic lately?" He replied, "Yes I have, why did you ask?. "I was thinking of helping you in whatever you're planning since I don't have much things to sort out. I don't want to be useless." She replied with a slightly sad tone.

'Well she isn't a saint for nothing.' Theresa's initiative in helping and lack of laziness makes her the perfect person to aid him in many affairs. He plans to make her his personal assistant and advisor. "Well, since you want to help. Can you study time magic and create runes that speed up time over a certain area?" She replied, "Yes my Lord, but what for, if I may ask?" "It's for all of us and the city's mercenaries and knights so we can train. I'll fill you in on the details later. For now, let's go in the library and start reading." He patted her on her right shoulder before open the door and walking past her.

She then quickly entered inside and flew towards the magic section at the higher shelves of the tall, massive cylindrical library. In the two weeks, his training plan involves learning more sword techniques and skills. He took out all the books that spoke about sword techniques, sword skills, skills, bloodromancy and vampire abilities. Apparently, he may be the first vampire, but vampire monsters existed but as ugly ghouls. Since most of the land in the continent are non human territories, he could find areas with many mid eternal level monsters. He told Li Yao telepathically to meet him at the area. He transformed into a bat and flew up to the sky, heading south towards the Belial Lands. The Belial Lands is a large neutral zone which is closest to the Berian Empire.

The Belial Lands are home to undead, demon and elemental monsters of the fire, darkness, blood, metal and strength elements. It is the fourth most dangerous area and the seventh largest one in Terradeus. Its area is slightly larger than the earth's total area and it's a Forbidden Zone. Forbidden zones have mid-legendary monsters as the strongest and are mostly comprised of high immortal, low eternal and mid eternal level monsters.

The Belial Lands is a great place to train as gravity and mana density there increase the deeper in a person goes. The gravity upon entry is easily 10 times the earth's gravity and every 10km in, 1 times is added to the total gravity. By reaching the 100km mark the gravity becomes 20 times that of earth's. The mana density increases the same way but the monster distribution is very random. The only certainties are that immortal levels are never at the middle regions and that the mid eternal levels are never in the central region, else than that, all things are possible.

The monster hordes there usually number in the thousands once a person reaches the middle regions and the gravity limit stops at 400 times the earth's gravity which is equal to Elbenon's normal gravity. Temperatures there are usually high and only apex level cultivators can withstand the air temperature and the poisonous environment. These rigorous trials make it a good place for Sebastian to do sword training. Add the dangers, the toxicity of the environment and the high mana density, he would constantly improve and easily master different techniques.

The area is approximately 400,000 km away from his castle and despite flying at mach 600 speed, it still took him almost 34 minutes to arrive. While on the flight, he had chosen dozens of skills and techniques well suited for his battle style. Since some of his skills cannot be merged using the skill fusion tickets, he decided to use it on the weaker skills he chose. When one purchases skills, they can either buy the skill for integration or buy its method. The method costs 10 times less than what an integration would as it only provides how to perform the skill and memories about it, whether the buyer can learn it or not depends, that's why its cheaper.

The first day in there, he trained by fighting a hundred strong horde of mutated and double mutated immortal-9 and 10 monsters. They took an hour to beat as their sheer number makes up for their individual combat abilities which are vastly inferior to Sebastian's. The monsters were mostly fire affinity with some dark and he managed to increase his dark affinity by a rank. His sword squire job earned a total of 200 mastery points and it unlocked the swordsman and the sword knight jobs. He switched jobs to the sword knight and gained an upgrade on his slash technique and gained a bronze ranked sword skill.

He merged it with a silver ranked skill to create a powerful gold ranked skill called the 7 Sword Shredder. The second day is mostly hunting eternal monster to learn the skill methods and train his sword abilities. The next five days are just basically practicing and learning the new skills and their methods. He moved into the middle regions to fight and train his abilities against only low and mid eternal level monsters. Li Yao also trained with him and cooked good meals for him. She can now fight equally with a mutated eternal-6 rank and she gained a new active skill, her combat techniques also improved.

To satisfy is thirst for human blood, he submitted many monster corpses to the system and gained thousands of merit points. He is basically gaining over ten thousand after a day of killing. He traded them for 2 epic ranked summoning monsters, legendary and pseudo mythical skills, combos and techniques methods and 7 vials of pure demon blood to enhance himself and keep his bloodlust in check. Apparently demon, dragon or ancient non human blood that is pure or high in concentration slightly enhances his physique, satisfy his bloodlust for two days and reduce any effects of arousal from the scent of blood.

At the first week's end, he had managed to gain 21 active skills, 17 passive skills, 8 techniques and 2 combos. His total combat power had increased by half a rank. His two new summoning monsters are the dandelion parasite, a triple mutated monster that appears like a larger version of a dandelion but its roots look like green stems that it uses to move around. The dandelion parasite produces small, airborne seeds that can easily enters its target and kills it from the inside before controlling it as a puppet.

His second new summoning monster is the cursed fire dragon, a triple mutated monster with a 23% dragon's blood. It looks like a large black dragon with some red patterns around its body. It had a wingspan of 15m and a length of 18m. Its claws are colored like fiery embers and black flames around it. They are both eternal-2 ranks like Li Yao but they could only battle against mutated eternal-5 ranks. At the last day, Theresa told him that she had already completed her research in time magic and is heading there.

When she arrived and found them, he sensed that she had elevated to the Immortal-10 rank. Her true combat power is equal to that of an Eternal-7 rank, she is on par with Li Yao. As a pseudo divine rank servant, even if she didn't train, she would already be considered a formidable peak genius by talent alone. He commanded her to build a small enclosed stone arena where he would train at. The arena had adiameter of 20 yards, enough for him to move freely. According to Theresa, she can make runes to speed up time inside by up to 10 times only as the area is large.

The runes would only last 3 days at most so it would be a month inside. Enough for him to reach stage two of the sword scripture. Before coming inside and training, he commanded Theresa and his summoning monsters to collect as much carcasses as they can and to avoid all high level eternal monsters. Once inside, he practiced all forms of sword techniques and used shadow manipulation to create powerful sparring partners. To increase his rate of training, he shut off his sense of sight by closing his eyes.

Three days past. Inside, he had been training ceaselessly for a month. Thanks to the vials of blood, he could last throughout the month inside. From the 3 days that passed his monsters and Theresa managed to get a few dozen eternal level monster carcasses. He submitted them all to the system and gained around a hundred thousand merit points. He planned on saving them on later before looking up any skill methods, summoning monsters, materials or cultivation objects.

The four days are just going to Horizon City, the tournament's location. He went sightseeing, registered himself and read the rulebook. According to the rulebook, the tournament is held in 12 large arenas. The tournament is divided into 2 leagues, the kingdom leagues and the empire leagues. The kingdom leagues occur a week before the empire leagues and the champion of the kingdom league is given the chance to participate in the empire leagues.

At the day of the tournament, Sebastian is looking at the people who would participate and who he would fight first. His first opponent is someone named Bryan from the Sunstreak kingdom. "Hmmm, Bryan huh?" A young man who appeared slightly older than him spoke from behind. He walked to his side and more of his form is revealed. He wore a white red trench coat with silver armor beneath it. He had slicked back blonde hair like a lion's mane and blue eyes. He had quite a handsome face and he introduced himself, "My name's Stefan Starfall of the Starburst kingdom. What's yours my friend?"

"Sebastian Adrian Cain, from the Agareth Kingdom." Sebastian replied. "I've never heard about you before. You new here?" Sebastian nodded. Stefan patted him on the back and wished him, "Good Luck." Before he turned away and walked towards another arena. Sebastian's match is in arena 8, the same arena he is standing in and it's about to start in the next 15 minutes. A tournament official escorted him towards the battlefield's entrance.

5 minutes before the match started, the royal family payed him a visit before his match. They wished him luck while the eldest princess stayed an extra second or two to give him a short kiss on the cheeks before blushing and leaving. 'I think I've just found a potential girl for my harem.' So far he had only 3 candidates for his harem. Lilith, The Eldest Princess and Theresa. He had second thoughts on Theresa because he doesn't want to spoil her innocence and holyness. When the fanfare is blown, the entrance to the battlefield opens and he enters.

His opponent is around his age. He has blond hair with white streaks, yellow eyes and a handsome but cocky looking face. He seems to be a sword wielder like him as his opponent has 2 swords behind his back forming an x. He wears silver plated armor with blue and yellow lightning patterns decorating it. When they both entered, the crowds cheered for the first fight of the day. Betting has started but the crowds are not on favor of Sebastian. The Agareth nobility took this opportunity to bet on Sebastian as they have seen first hand what he could do.

Bryan may be a powerful foe but he is just an immortal-3 rank, nothing in comparison to an immortal-8 rank. While the rest of the audience pitied him and cheered Bryan on, the trumpets are blown, signaling the start of the match. He gloated to Sebastian, "I'll make quick work of youu…" Before he could finish his gloat, he had been punched in the abdomen and is flung away to the wall, a hole in his armor. The once cheering crowd is silenced. In a blink of an eye, their favorite champion has been defeated and his armor broken in an attack they didn't even see.

The agareth nobility and the royal family simply had smug faces, they reaped massive profits by utilizing Sebastian's newbie position. After Bryan's defeat, his other competitors became more careful when facing him. Even so, they did not last more than a hit and didn't even see anything happen. All they can remember is being ready with the battle before feeling excruciating pain in their abdomen and waking up in the infirmary. Due to his consecutive wins and very attractive features, he became known as the Dark Prince upon defeating his last opponents of the kingdom league.

The last match in the kingdom league involves the 4 remaining participants to duke it out in a free for all battle. He easily defeated them all with one punch each and after ending it he sighed, "I'm gonna become the next Saitama at this rate." After leaving the arena in a legendary victory, the royals and the nobles congratulated him and presented gifts to him. Despite them being things he could purchase in the store, any gift is always a benefit, so he received them all with a sincere and charming smile.

After the short 5 minute session, he is swarmed by a hundred girls who confessed their love to him almost simultaneously. Even though he liked the feeling of having many girls surround him and fawn over him, he sometimes found it annoying so he announced to them, "If you want to become my princess, become the smartest and the strongest.
