Zack's POV

"Agatha! Quick! Wake him up!" someone screamed.

As soon as the command was given, someone grabbed his hand and wrenched him backwards. Zack lost his footing for a moment, but lucky for him, werewolves had quick reflexes. He balanced himself and shook his head, confused for a moment. What was happening? And then it hit him again. The mouth watering scent that was coming off of his mate.

'Mate!!' His inner wolf screamed.

He felt an overwhelming need to be with his mate. He needed to touch her. Why were they blocking him?! Zack couldn't understand it. A sudden rage came over him, his wolf senses screaming for the destruction of anything that stood in his path. Without realizing it, he was starting to shift. He could feel his skin stretch and break, while his spine was getting bent, pushing him to bend forward. In the blink of an eye, there stood a big brown wolf in the stead of the man. The wolf growled menacingly, shaking the contours of the room. His clear blue eyes had a crazed look in them. The wolf's vision was focused on the witch who was standing in between him and his mate. The blonde girl's eyes reflected fear.

Provoked by the fear in his prey's eyes, the wolf jumped forward, aimed at the scared witch. He could see every small movement in her body. The quiver of her lips and her widening eyes fueled his hunger for blood. His focus was so entirely on her, that he was blind to everything that was happening around him. While mid air, he understood his mistake. But it was too late.

Sharp canines pierced the flesh on his shoulders. He fell down before reaching his destination. His giant body hit the cold marble floor. Pain shot up his torso, as the impact of the fall intensified the pain on his wound.

A low threatening growl came from beside his fallen body. The brown wolf looked up to see a pair of hazel eyes glaring at him in warning. The female wolf barked at him, warning him to stay down. Zack couldn't control his anger anymore. How dare Nina attack him?!

'Traitor!' Zack screamed through their pack's link.

"Agatha do it now!" Someone shouted once more.

The brown wolf narrowed his eyes at the pair of witches standing above him. The younger one among the two had her hands raised. Zack growled in warning.

"Tranquillitas!" Agatha shouted, keeping her hands above the fallen wolf.

Zack opened his mouth to bark at the witch, but no sound came out. It was as if his brain rethought the move. A sudden calm came over him, clearing his mind of the overwhelming desire for blood. He looked around him in confusion and saw three women surrounding him. But his attention was drawn by a sweet smell, which was emanating from somewhere beyond the three. Raising his nose in the air, he sniffed around. There was a strange static that was surrounding his body. Understanding what it was, the brown wolf whimpered, unable to stand up.

Aileen sighed. "Can you shift back Alpha?" She asked, pointing her finger at the wound.

Zack understood her concern. Usually injured werewolves didn't shift back to their human forms before fully healing as it could cause further tearing and deepening of the wound. The brown wolf peeked at his shoulder. The wound was quickly healing. The pain was too dull for it to be noticeable anymore. The wolf nodded in reply, hoping that the witch would understand him.

"Okay then. Don't make another move or I'll put the shield back on." Aileen warned, raising her hand slightly.

Zack barked in reply. Suddenly he felt the shield disappearing from around him. He rubbed his nose with his paws, trying to distract himself from the enticing scent that filled the room. Slowly, he shifted back to his human form, his hands covering his face.

"Daaamn boy! You're huge!" Agatha exclaimed.

Zack straightened up, startled by the realization that hit him a bit too late. He was standing butt naked in front of three women. His hands quickly flew down to his nether region, guarding its sight from the stare of the two younger witches. His cheeks got heated up in embarrassment. Damn him and his senses! He cursed. In the spur of the moment, he breathed in a huge amount of air-the scent once again creating a sense of urgency in him. But this time strangely, he was in control.

"Here." Aileen offered him a white towel with a blank expression.

Zack leaned forward and took it awkwardly. Without wasting time, he quickly wrapped it around himself.

"What a waste of good view." Agatha said with a shrug.

"Well it's not yours anyway. So beat it blondie." Zack retorted, covering his nose and mouth with his one hand.

"Never said I wanted it dog." Agatha scoffed.

"What happened?" Aileen asked, stepping forward.

He turned towards the older witch, and sighed. "The scent that is coming off of her.."

"Scent?!" Aileen's brows shot up in alarm.

Zack nodded. "A very sweet scent." He replied with a sigh. He stepped toward the tub, but was suddenly blocked again. "Look if you can move because I need to-"

"Uhh I think we have company." Nina said, cutting in.

Zack looked at her in a confused expression. Nina tapped the side of her head, signaling him to tune in to his pack link. That was when he felt it. Wolves were approaching the room. There were at least fifty of them. A foul smell was emanating from the direction from which they were coming. He quickly tapped into his pack link. He could hear their restless voices.

'It's coming from this direction.'

'It's so sweet mmm.'

'Ahh I want to bury myself inside her wetness..'

Zack looked at the Nina in alarm. What was happening?! And who were they talking about? Can they maybe-? A low growl erupted from his tensed body at the thought that flashed in his mind.

"It's our men. And I think that they're getting the same scent that you are, since I can smell their arousal all the way till here." Nina said, voicing his fears out loud.

"Oh dear! I should have seen this coming!" Aileen exclaimed.

"What do you mean?" Zack asked, turning towards the older witch.

"I'll explain later. For now, I need you to hold back your pack males at any cost." She replied, fussing around the room, blowing the candles out one by one.

"Wha-"

"Since Nina is unaffected by it, I'm sure other females are also in a similar state for now. But it won't be long before they turn into crazed wolves too. I'm sorry but I'll be putting a barrier up in between our halves of the island once more." Aileen said, cutting him off.

Zack was feeling flustered. It was getting more difficult to resist the scent. He was feeling helpless. His hand started shaking from his body's need. He tried hard to concentrate on what the woman had said. What was the woman hiding from him? And what did she mean by putting the barrier up again? Unless-

"No!" Zack exclaimed, stepping towards the witch. "You are not taking her away from me!" He screamed possessively.

Aileen turned towards him with an annoyed look on her face. "Of course I am!" She said, "This is the only way Zack! In no time your entire pack will start going crazy for getting just a touch of your mate. And it won't stop there. They will fight each other and die in the process. I don't care about your wolves but I need to keep Elize safe. This is not up for discussion."

Aileen turned back to Elize's body and chanted something hurriedly. Slowly, her body started lowering itself back into the tub. Zack quickly stepped up and caught her before she hit the strange bloody water once again. As soon as her skin touched his, Zack felt pleasurable jolts of electricity hit his body, making him sway in pleasure. He looked down at the unconscious figure of his mate lying in his hands like a perfectly sculpted work of art. His member stood up in response to his body's reactions. Zack inhaled her scent deeply, getting lost in its ecstasy for a moment. But the moment was interrupted by a certain blonde witch.

"Tch Tch." Agatha expressed her irritation, throwing a cloak on Elize's naked figure.

Zack growled at her, annoyed.

"Hand me the woman so that I can leave dog."

Zack scoffed at the witch's remark and grudgingly handed his mate over to her. Agatha grunted at the weight of the body that she hung over shoulder.

He pointed a finger at the blonde witch and said in warning, "You better keep her safe. Or else I'll-"

Before he was able to finish the sentence, he heard loud crash. He looked towards his bed room in alarm. There were here!

"Go!" He shouted at Agatha before storming outside the bathroom.

Claws elongated from his hands and quickly, he shifted back to his wolf form. Before him stood all the male wolves of his pack, their nether regions projecting the vile reason for their intrusion. Rage boiled inside him. How dare they covet his mate?! The huge wolf thumped the floor loudly, his power shaking the walls of the room. The wolves shivered under his threat. But a few inched forward, unable to resist their instincts.
