"Hmm." Agatha acknowledged in a distracted tone.

Their supernatural history class had ended with Radur Runebreaker dismissing the class abruptly, saying something about not being in the mood to continue the class after sending one of the mermen sitting in the front row to the dungeons. The students had stayed back in the class discussing with horror, what would happen to the poor guy, who was locked with a middle level illusion demon. But what bothered Elize was something else entirely.

"Where do you think Firyr went though?" Elize asked, her brows furrowing in irritation. Then suddenly a bleak possibility flashed in her mind. "Wait! Did those two skip classes together?! I'm so killing if that is so!" She exclaimed.

"I don't know Elize." The witch answered in the same dead tone.

Elize could see that Agatha's mood was sour. She had looked quite distracted during all of the classes too. She guessed that something had happened to Agatha during yesterday's trip with Legolas. Every since she came back from the outing, the witch had been in the same state. Elize wanted to ask what it was about, but knew that her friend wasn't the type to talk about things that easily. Hoping to ask Legolas about it, she had waited for the one class they all had in common. To her great dismay, the elf was absent and so was Firyr. Now that she thought about it, her usually cheerful friend would istantly get quiet as soon as she mentioned Legolas. Maybe something had happened between the two. But what exactly? She wondered.

The two filed out of the class along with a huge crowd of students. Hoping that the witch's mood would change for the better, Elize decided to change the topic.

"Ahh! I'm still sore from yesterday." She complained, pressing the back of her neck.

"Aahan."

"That damn Kelpie! It was all because of him." Elize cursed, remembering yesterday's incident.

"Hmmm." Agatha replied indifferently.

The witch kept walking alongside her mindlessly, almost banging into a wall.

"Woah! Look out Agatha!" Elize exclaimed, quickly pulling her friend to the side.

"I'm sorry." Agatha apologized, looking withdrawn.

"Hey are you alright? You've been like a zombie ever since you came back from the town yesterday. Did something happen?" Elize asked, concerned.

Agatha shrugged. "Not really."

"You know that you can tell me anything right?" Elize asked, placing a reassuring hand on the witch's shoulder.

"Hmmm. I think I'm just tired." Agatha said, rubbing her forehead.

"Fine. Let's just go get something to eat." Elize said, taking hold of her friend's hand.

"Elize!" Someone called for her loudly- a very familiar someone by now.

"Ugh! Not again." Elize cursed, quickening her pace.

She hastily sat at the empty spot, turning her chair away from the direction of the voice. There was no way in the world that she wanted to run into him- especially not now!

"There you are! I've been looking for you." Lloyd said, appearing in front of her.

"I'd rather you didn't." Elize said, biting into her burger.

"I'm sure that you don't mean it." The Kelpie said with a pout.

"Believe me, I do." She replied, taking another bite.

"Oh, hey Agatha." Lloyd said turning to her friend.

"Uhh…" Agatha said, looking at him with a confused expression.

"What are you doing here?" Elize asked quickly, hoping to get rid of him quick.

"Don't worry I'm not here to forcibly make you fulfill your promise." Lloyd said flashing a devastatingly beautiful smile at her.

"Right." Elize remarked, rolling her eyes at the obvious lie.

"Here you go." Lloyd said taking out two envelopes from inside his jacket.

Seeing that no one initiated to take it from him, the Kelpie slid it over the table, the dark blue shimmery card stopping right next to her plate. Elize stared at the Kelpie, folding her arms on her chest. She did not even bother to look at the sheet of paper that was now right in front of her.

"I'm hosting a party at a club in the town. The address is in here." Lloyd said, leaning in and tapping on the invite. "Of course, it goes without saying that you girls have to come."

"Nope." Elize replied without a second thought.

Lloyd sighed. "Agatha darling, why don't you make your friend understand?" The Kelpie asked, turning to Agatha.

Agatha stared at him blankly. Elize laughed at the confused expression on Lloyd's face, seeing Agatha. For some reason, she had the urge to smack him on his head real hard and laugh till her stomach ached. But she kept that thought to herself.

"Lloyd!!" A familiar voice suddenly called from behind the Kelpie, making her turn towards the direction.

"Oh no." Lloyd said, putting his head in his hand.

It was obvious that he had recognized the voice without even looking. Were they that close? How did they know each other? A thousand thoughts passed her mind as her eyes followed the tall figure of the she elf walking towards them. Heads turned in the cafeteria as she walked past students with a deliberate sway of her hips.

Elize asked raising her brows. "Don't tell me that she's coming over here."

"Bear with me please." Lloyd pleaded, looking oddly helpless.

"What?!No!" Elize exclaimed. Pointing a finger towards the blonde elf walking towards them, she said, "You should take her some-"

"Lloyd!" Aerin exclaimed happily, putting a hand on Lloyd's shoulder.

There was a huge smile on her face which would have She looked like a puppy seeing its master after a whole day, Elize thought. But her expression soon changed as she turned towards the girls. " What are you doing with these lowborns?" the she elf asked, crunching her face in disgust.

"Shut it bitch." Elize warned, rising from her seat.

Aerin's eyes grew wide in anger. She pointed a shaking finger at Elize, and started, "You-"

"What are you doing here Aerin?" Lloyd asked, quickly taking hold of the elf's hand and lowering it. Aerin blushed at the gesture.

Elize looked at the Kelpie incredulously. Somehow she hadn't expected him to touch the girl. What are you expecting from him Elize? Remember the state he was in when you visited him in the office? Besides you hate the Kelpie. She reminded herself.

Aerin fluttered her eyelashes flirtatiously at Lloyd. "I was just about to-"

She stopped mid sentence, as her gaze landed on the envelopes on the table. Her eyes widened in apparent shock. She turned towards the Kelpie with an accusatory glare. "How could you invite these two?!" She exclaimed.

"Don't worry. I'm not going." Elize quickly remarked dismissively.

Lloyd laughed, suddenly taking hold of Elize's hand. "She's just kidding!" He said with a wide smile. "She's the chief guest."

"What?"

"What?"

Both Elize and Aerin asked simultaneously, looking at the Kelpie as if he was crazy. The she elf furiously turned towards Elize and Agatha.

"You! You both! First you leach on to my brother and then Lloyd?!" Aerin screamed. "Do you even know who he is?!"

"Aerin stop." Lloyd warned.

"Excuse me?" Elize asked, withdrawing her hand from the Kelpie's forcibly.

"Why don't you ask your friend?!" Aerin spat, pointing to Agatha.

"Agatha?" Elize asked, turning to her friend with a confused expression.

The witch looked startled. Her face was drained of all blood. So something had really happened between her and Legolas. Poor thing, Elize thought. She was about to reach out to Agatha when the witch suddenly got up from her place and ran.

"Agatha wait!" Elize screamed, quickly following her.

She ran through the halls, heads turning towards her. Agatha was well beyond her reach. As she watched, the witch who had already reached the entrance of the building took off into the air.

"Agatha!" Elize shouted to no avail.

What just happened? What happened between her friends? Elize thought as she stared into the sky, watching Agatha disappear into a small dot in the cloudy sky. She sat down on the steps at the entrance of the building, suddenly feeling lost.

"Are you okay darling?" The Kelpie asked, coming up from behind her.

"Thank you for your concern Vice Principal Irving." Elize said, getting up. "But I hope that you stay away from me."

"Ouch. That hurt." Lloyd said, faking a hurt expression.

"Good. Because it's going to hurt more if my mate finds you anywhere near me. Just remember that." Elize warned with her chin held high.

Without waiting for his reply, she turned around and started walking towards the direction of her class. She wanted to say so much more, but at that moment, she was just too angry to stay there and keep looking at his smug face. In her anger, she hadn't noticed the presence of a third person, who was now walking towards the Kelpie.

"That must be a blow to your huge ego Prince Irving." The man said, stopping next to the gray haired water horse.

"And who might you be?" Lloyd asked, turning around to face the newly arrived stranger.

"The one who she just warned you about." The wolf said with a smirk.

Lloyd laughed, shaking his head. "Ahh I see that I have competition."

"I don't." He said with a shrug. "It would be better if you stay away from her. " Zack warned.

"I don't see any reason to." Lloyd replied with a mischievous smile. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have a party to plan."
