Chapter 76: Arranging the Spirit gathering formation

Zhan Chen took out a jade bottle and stored away the Marrow nourishing spirit liquid. He closed off the lid of the pill furnace and left the room.

Ling'er and Su'er was still cultivating in their room. Zhan Chen shook his head helplessly after entering their room. His little brother reacted strongly after seeing Su'er and Ling'er. Zhan Chen was helpless as his little brother was growing more disobedient with each passing days.

"One really need more women to practice the Celestial Yin Yang sutra", Zhan Chen sighed to himself. He patted the head of his little brother to make it obedient. But alas, what he was thinking and what his little brother require was completely different.

"Forget it, nothing could be done at this time. Let's check Ruyan if she has come out of her cultivation", Zhan Chen thought to himself and spread his soul consciousness towards the room of Shen Ruyan.

Shen Ruyan was still cultivating in her room. She was looking like an otherworldly beauty while sitting crosslegged inside her room. A smile appeared on the face of Zhan Chen after he saw her calm appearance. 

"There is nothing left to do here. I will leave after cultivating a bit", Zhan Chen thought to himself. He sat crosslegged and operated the Celestial Yin Yang sutra. The divine Yinyang diagram glowed as it absorbed the yin essence of Ling'er. A stream of pure essence energy came to Zhan Chen's body after the divine Yinyang diagram absorbed the yin essence. "I wonder how much energy is needed for breaking into True essence realm?", Zhan Chen thought to himself.

Zhan Chen left the room of Su'er and Ling'er after cultivating for a little period of time. There was still a long time remained before the arrival of morning. He decided to arrange the remaining formation work in this period.

Zhan Chen picked up an exquisite looking box which was brought by Ling'er earlier. Then he strode out of Su'er and Ling'er's room while holding that exquisite looking box in his hand.

"Greetings, young master", the guards of Firecloud treasure pavilion bowed their heads after seeing Zhan Chen. 

Zhan Chen nodded his head and said, "Bring out my horse". One of the guard bowed and left to pick the horse of Zhan Chen.

Zhan Chen felt something and turned his head to look behind. Liu Nanxi had appeared silently in a distance.

"Aunt Liu", Zhan Chen greeted the old woman who always loved to act mysterious.

"Brat, where are you going in this late night?", Liu Nanxi asked. 

"I am heading to the Zhan family estate. There are many things to do there. So, I thought to utilize the time before the sunrise", Zhan Chen replied.

"Ok then, no need to take your horse. I will send you there", Liu Nanxi spoke and held the hand of Zhan Chen. Before the guard of the Firecloud treasure pavilion could bring the horse of Zhan Chen, he had already left with Liu Nanxi.

"I will leave you here", Liu Nanxi spoke after bringing Zhan Chen to the gate of the Zhan family estate. She threw a wary and respectful look towards the centeremost part of the Zhan family estate.

"Thank you aunt Liu", Zhan Chen spoke and Liu Nanxi vanished from where she was standing.

"Greetings young master", Zhan family guards greeted immediately after Zhan Chen approached the gate of Zhan family estate. Zhan Chen nodded at the guards and entered inside. 

He walked towards the centeremost location of the estate where the core of the Five element profound tribulation formation was located. 

Zhan Chen noticed a soul consciousness spying on him but he didn't react as he knew who was the owner of ther soul consciousness. It was Zhan Lin, the ancestor of his Zhan family.

Zhan Lin was curious towards the deeds of Zhan Chen. So, he stretched his soul consciousness to see what Zhan Chen was doing.

Zhan Chen opened up the exquisite looking box he was carrying and five glowing objects appeared Infront of his eyes.

"Kiddo, are you planning to use these spiritual pearls?", Zhan Lin's voice came soon after he opened up the exuisite looking box.

Zhan Chen chuckled after hearing the question of Zhan Lin. "Greetings senior", he greeted towards the direction of Zhan Lin.

"You are indeed abnormal. You can even sense the direction where I am concealing myself", Zhan Lin spoke with a surprised tone in his voice.

"Senior overpraises me", Zhan Chen spoke in a modest voice.

"What are you planning to do with these?", Zhan Lin pointed at the five glowing egg shaped balls.

"Senior, I am planning to use these spiritual pearls at the core of the Five element profound tribulation formation", Zhan Chen spoke.

Zhan Lin nodded his head and moved to a side. "Continue then. Tell me if you need anything", he spoke to Zhan Chen.

Zhan Chen nodded his head and sat crosslegged. He closed his eyes and spread his spiritual energy towards the nearby area. With a thought of his mind, he poured out his spiritual energy and controlled the spiritual energy to make a complex looking diagram.

His hand moved as he placed the spiritual pearls at the difference corner of the diagram. The diagram released a transpledent light as it light the surrounding area.

"It is done. Now I only need to connect this spirit gathering formation with the Five element profound tribulation formation", Zhan Chen murmured to himself.

Zhan Lin nodded his head after seeing Zhan Chen placing the five spirtual pearls at the different corners of the spirit gathering formation. "What an exquisite control over spiritual energy! I wonder who teach this kid of my clan", Zhan Lin thought to himself.

Zhan Chen closed his eyes again and released his spiritual energy. His spiritual energy covered the entire Zhan family estate. Zhan Chen released a thread of his spiritual energy towards the Abyss jade. Then he connected it with the spirit gathering formation.

Elemental fluctuation came into being as soon as Zhan Chen connected the spirit gathering formation with the Five element profound tribulation formation. Zhan Chen nodded his head after seeing the reaction of the Five element Profound tribulation formation.

He took out the five spirtual pearls and stored them inside the box. The formation stopped automatically after he took out the spiritual pearls.

"You don't need to worry about these spiritual pearls. I will pour my spiritual energy inside if the spiritual pearls ran out of spiritual energy", Zhan Lin spoke.

"Thank you senior", Zhan Chen looked towards Zhan Lin.

"Senior, what happened with our Zhan clan. I have heard that our Zhan clan was attacked by two equally strong powers?", Zhan Chen asked Zhan Lin.

"Yes, it is true that we are attacked by two powerful forces. But there is more to the situation than you think. I can only say you that there are outsider forces are interfering", Zhan Lin spoke with a profound look in his face.

Zhan Chen felt confused but didn't ask anything again. "Forget it, you are not eligible to learn about those matters now. Those guys are very dangerous but the point is that they will not act unless a powerful force appears in our continent. I have heard that they are involved in toppling countless such powers. Their motives are unclear till this date", Zhan Lin spoke.

Zhan Chen's body shuddered as he recalled an unpleasant memory. "Could it be those guys?", he clenched his fists tightly.

"Forget it. I will investigate about them thoroughly. For now, my full focus should be on increasing my cultivation level", Zhan Chen thought to himself.

Zhan Chen returned to his room and sat crosslegged. He channeled the Celestial Yin Yang sutra and entered into a cultivation state.

He opened his eyes only after the sun rose to the sky. "I wonder what mother and aunts are doing?", he thought to himself and walked out of his room.

"Good morning, young master", little Tao greeted Zhan Chen with a happy look on her face. Zhan Chen pinched her nose a little after seeing her smiling face. 

"Little Tao, have you seen mother and aunts?", Zhan Chen asked little Tao.

"Yes, they have gone to see old madam", little Tao replied.

"Is father and uncles are with them?", Zhan Chen asked. Little Tao nodded her head.

"Then, we should also visit grand mother. I can look at her problem while visiting this time", Zhan Chen spoke.

Little Tao nodded her head and went with Zhan Chen to visit the old madam of Zhan family complex.

Zhan Chen walked towards a secluded corner of the Zhan family complex. A simple looking hut was raised there which was also the current resident of his grand mother.

There was no guards in the entire complex. Zhan Chen and little Tao came unhindered. They stopped after reaching the hut.

"Young master, I should stay here. You can go and speak to eldest madam", little Tao spoke in a timid voice.

Zhan Chen nodded his head and walked inside. His gaze fell upon the sickly lady who had a smile on her aged face.
