Chapter 85: Making an arrangement

Zhan Chen felt amused after seeing Xu Wenhong. "Fatty, I have always told you to eat less. At the rate you are going, you will never get a girl for yourself", Zhan Chen spoke with a smile on his face.

"Big brother, you are wrong in this matter. Who said I can't get a girl for myself. Look at Su An. She has already fallen for me", Xu Wenhong proudly proclaimed.

Su An who was following after Xu Wenhong blushed after hearing the shameless words of fatty. Fatty stretched his hand and pulled her closer to him. 

Su An's cheeks reddened after fatty pulled her into a bear hug. But she still felt joy because the recognition of Xu Wenhong. She was serving in the Xu family since childhood. She, Zhan Chen and Xu Wenhong, all of them were of same age. Zhan Chen had outstanding appearance and he belonged to a family of generals. So, she never had thought anything about him.

But for fatty, it was different. Even her parents didn't care for her as much Xu Wenhong cared for her. In the outside, fatty loved to scold her. But inside, he always spoiled her as much he could. Su An couldn't help but gradually fallen for Xu Wenhong.

"Congratulation fatty, you have finally managed to impress Su An", Zhan Chen smiled towards both Su An and Xu Wenhong.

"Su An, take this. It is a gift from me for recognising fatty. Initially I have prepared it for fatty but your are more capable than him in cultivation", Zhan Chen spoke and took out a Marrow nourishing spirit liquid bottle.

"Young master Chen, please don't do this. How can I take his portion?", Su An immediately rejected after hearing Zhan Chen's words. Zhan Chen could only chuckle after seeing Su An's expression.

"Su An, what is this? Accept it and thank big brother properly", Xu Wenhong chided Su An.

"I am sorry, young master", Su An aplogized timidly. Zhan Chen shook his head and gave the Marrow nourishing spirit liquid bottle to Su An.

"Pour the content of the bottle inside a bath tub and stay inside the bathtub for an hour. This liquid will strengthen your bone marrow and make your body more suitable for cultivation", Zhan Chen spoke to Su An. Su An nodded her head and thanked Zhan Chen.

"Greetings miss Ling, sorry for not greeting you earlier", Xu Wenhong bowed his head slightly towards Ling'er.

"Greetings, young master Wenhong", Ling'er also greeted back. "Ok, you two girls can talk with each other. Let us brothers alone", Zhan Chen smiled towards Su'er and Su An.

Ling'er understood his meaning and went to Su An. Both of the girls left the room together. Zhan Chen smiled towards Xu Wenhong after both of the girls left.

"Fatty, how have you been?", Zhan Chen looked towards Xu Wenhong.

"Big brother, I am fine but there is lots of works to do. So, I have not gone to see you after your Zhan family's war with Gu family", Xu Wenhong replied.

An excited look appeared in his beady eyes as he recalled the war between Gu family and Zhan family. "Big brother, you are amazing. You managed to kill so many warriors of the Gu family", Xu Wenhong blurted out excitedly. Zhan Chen could only smile as fatty was overly excited about dome minor killings.

"Fatty, where is uncle Xu and aunt Xu? I have not seen them for a while", Zhan Chen asked Xu Wenhong.

"Father and mother has gone to the Blue rock kingdom. The birthday ceremony of my maternal grandfather is in few days. So, they are there to congratulate that undying old man", Xu Wenhong spoke.

Zhan Chen nodded his head in understanding. But there was also another thing that could not escape his eyes. It was like s test for Xu Wenhong to manage the entire business of Xu clan. They wanted to give experience to Xu Wenhong in their absense.

"Fatty, I wouldn't have come to see you if it is not urgent. I am leaving the Red cloud kingdom for a while. So, you need to look after my Zhan family in my place", Zhan Chen spoke.

"Big brother, are you going to join the Grand sect competition?", Xu Wenhong threw a curious look at Zhan Chen.

Zhan Chen nodded his head. Fatty was always bright. So, it was no surprise for him that fatty guessed his thoughts.

"Big brother, I know you have managed to defeat Gu family warriors. But, can you handle those monsters of central land?", Xu Wenhong asked worriedly. He knew the entire continent was gearing up for a large gathering. Every scions of top clans were preparing for the upcoming Grand sect competition. Some were aiming to join the topmost sects while some were planning to join the dragon guards of imperial family. So, the competition would be very grand and competitive in nature. Xu Wenhong felt worried for Zhan Chen as Zhan Chen was only sixteen and his cultivation was still sub-par comapred to the other geniuses.

"You don't need to worry about it. Some young boys and girls who have yet to experience the world can't compete with me even if they are given another hundred years", Zhan Chen spoke with a smile. Xu Wenhong felt dazed but the boastful words of Zhan Chen somehow felt natural to him. As if Zhan Chen was merely stating some facts that are ought to happen.

"Good luck then, big brother. What are you planning for your Zhan family?", Xu Wenhong looked towards Zhan Chen.

A thoughtful look appeared on the face of Zhan Chen after he heard the question of Xu Wenhong. This was a question about which he had not decided anything until now. Their Zhan family was a family of generals. So, they had no other expertise in other fields. Now that, he had decided to cut relationship with the royal family, he had to decide some other work for his Zhan family.

"Big brother, how about cooperating with my Xu family?", fatty interrupted the thought of Zhan Chen as he looked at Zhan Chen with shiny eyes.

"Cooperating with your family?", Zhan Chen felt confused.

"Big brother, I have thought of a very good idea. Let me explain it for you", Xu Wenhong looked towards Zhan Chen.

Zhan Chen nodded his head and turned his gaze towards fatty.

"Your Zhan family is the strongest if we exclude the royal family. The soldiers who followed after father and uncles will leave the royal army as they are more loyal towards your Zhan family. Thus, your Zhan family will have a large number of experts under you", Xu Wenhong looked at Zhan Chen with excitement in his eyes.

Zhan Chen also felt interested after hearing Xu Wenhong's explanation. "Tell it already. What have you thought?", he looked at Xu Wenhong.

"I am planning to use the power of Zhan family experts for long distance transportation of goods. Moreover, there is also the business of spirit beasts. If your Zhan family agrees to my proposal, then I can make a new business establishment and make your Zhan family a part of it", Xu Wenhong explained with excitement in his eyes.

Zhan Chen nodded his head after thinking for a while."I will talk to eldest uncle about it. You can make your arrangement as eldest uncle will not deny anything I will propose", Zhan Chen said. Xu Wenhong nodded his head in excitement. His look was like as if a greedy bear found his best honeycomb.

"Big brother, you can rest assure. I will make the arrangements properly", Xu Wenhong looked towards Zhan Chen.

Zhan Chen bade farewell to fatty Xu after speaking with him for a while. He called back Ling'er and sat with her in the horse-drawn carriage of Firecloud treasure pavilion.

Their carraige returned to the Firecloud treasure pavilion in half an hour. Zhan Chen greeted the middle aged manager and climbed the stairs.

He spread his soul consciousness and checked the condition of his girls. Shen Ruyan was still cultivating and Su'er andi Shu was also doing the same.

"Ruyan is going to take another two hours. I am not planning to cultivate in this period. Li Shu's yin energy is insufficient to have a go at breakthrough. So, I can only wait for her to breakthrough", Zhan Chen looked towards the room of Shen Ruyan.

"Young master, what are you planning to do now?", Ling'er asked Zhan Chen. Zhan Chen caressed her silky hair as a thoughtful look appeared on his face.

"Let's concoct some pills in the mean time. Ling'er I need you to help me in fetching the materials", Zhan Chen looked towards Ling'er. Ling'er nodded her head with a smile as she always felt joy when her young master needed her help

"Fetch me a pen and paper. I will write down a list", Zhan Chen looked towards Ling'er. Ling'er nodded her head and walked out.
