25 Chapter 25: Dream

Noticing Tia who was now in a state of food coma sleeping soundly at the table, Ian quietly went to her side.

He silently sat beside her, lightly grabbed her shoulders then gently place her head to his lap.

He then clicked a switch at the side of the wooden table.

Few minutes later, a waitress came in. Ian quietly instructed her to clear out the table and he asked for the bill and also a blanket.

The waitress gave him a nod, acknowledging his instruction she then noiselesly and quickly cleared out the dishes. After cleaning, she went out.

Soon after, she came back holding a fresh clean white blanket and the bill, she handed it to Ian. Ian took out his wallet without looking at the bill he place a thick stack of cash and his card.

The waitress eyes were wide from shock. She knows that the card is for the bill, meaning the stack of cash is for the tip.

Ian gave a nod and signal for her to go away. The waitress hurriedly went out, there's a wide smile on her face.

She then instructed her colleagues to not disturb the people in booth number 4.

Ian carefully placed the blanket over Tia who was sleeping soundly at his lap. He looked at her tenderly, as he softly caressed her face. He asked,

"Why are you so defenseless?"

He was gently stroking her hair. There's a tinge of blush on her cheeks. It looks so cute that he wanted to pinch her.

"Why can't you remember me, Tian-Tian?"

He mumbled, he bend his head down and lightly kissed her forehead. Tia sweetly smiled, she looked like she was having a good dream.

In her dreams, Tia was in the middle of an open field full of different flowers. The flowers were in full bloom and she could even hear birds chirping around.

The place looked so serene and peaceful.

Then she turn around and saw her mom, quietly making a beautiful flower crown. She delicately pluck a pink peony and wring it around the crown.

She was surprised to see her, it was the very first time she had a dream about her mother. She looked so peaceful and happy. Just like the ones from her memory.

Tia walked to her side. Her mom gave her a sweet smile, she lovingly gazed at her daughter then she carefully placed the crown over her head.

Tia smiled back at her, then she hugged her mom.

"I miss you, mom."

She softly whispered as she slowly opened her eyes.
