Elia then helped put the accessories on to Tia. She even brought a fresh flower crown and a bouquet.

"Mother, thank you. But we will only register our marriage. Really. This is too much."

Tia shyly said. She felt so thankful with Elia's effort but she thinks the accessories were unnecessary.

"What are you talking about. You will have a pictorial after.

Please let this old lady indulge and pamper you. I have waited for so long to have a daughter."

Elia sincerly asked her. She wanted to have a girl but she was only blessed with an indifferent son.

Then she put a box onto Tia's hands.

It was a wooden box with intricate carvings.

"Tian-Tian, please accept this as my wedding gift for you. Wear it when you go to parties so they will know your status."

Elia softly said. She knows the old madams from other clans will bully Tia specially when she's not around.

She's aware that they will all be consume with envy with her lovely daughter in law.

Afterall, they try to curry favor and even tried to pimp their daughters to her son to enter the most coveted Lee household but to no avail.

Of course she will not allow a pretentious woman to marry her son even if it means that they will wage a war against other clan then so be it.

She wouldn't trade her son's happiness just for wealth and other things.

Tia carefully opened a box and inside, theres a vintage golden tree branch looking brooch decorated with white shiny pearls.

It was Elia Lam's family heirloom handed down to every girls in Lam's main family household.

She doesn't have a daughter so she wanted  her daughter in law to inherit it instead.

With Tia wearing the brooch the people at their elite circle will know how much the madam of the Lee household favors Tia.

She's confident that they will not dare to disrespect and malign her.

After she saw the Lee pendant hanging at Tia's neck while they are on the island she had decided that she would give her something as valuable as what her husband had given their daughter.

Tia wanted to refuse the gift but seeing the solemn look on Elia's face she hesitantly accepted it.

"Thank you mother, I'll make sure to keep it safe."

She sweetly smiled at her mother. Elia had also prepared a sparkling high heels shoes embellished with swarovski crystals.

After a little touch up on her hair she was ready to go outside.

Tia slowly walked out of the room where her groom, Ian was patiently waiting for her at the living room downstairs.
