Everyone applauded after Mei Chen finished her song.

Kenny was on the side looking in admiration at Mei Chen.

His heart was beating so fast after he hears her sing.

He thought she couldn't surprise him more but turns out he's wrong.

He knew she's well versed with playung the guitar but he's not aware that she could actually sing.

'She never seize to amaze me.'

He mumbles as he walked towards the stage to help Mei Chen go down.

Then he hear one of the male band members talking to little Mei.

"Wow, you have such an amazing voice. And good at guitars. D'you want to join our band? Here's our business card."

The man said, he was the violinist who accompanied Mei Chen in her little production earlier.

He easily had a crush on the pretty and talented little Mei when he heard her angelic singing voice.

Mei Chen was about to get the card when a strong hand blocked the card and shielded Mei Chen.

'I'm sorry, she's busy.'

Kenny said and bend down towards Mei Chen who was clearly not pleased with Kenny's interruption.

"Little Mei lets go down and eat."

Then he wheeled her down leaving the violinst dumbfounded and hanging.

The truth is Mei Chen just wanted to accept the card out of politeness but she wasn't really thinking of joining them.

But she got irritated with Kenny acting like her guardian.

" Why d'you do that for?"

"What do you mean?"

Kenny feigned ignorance and cheerfully pushed Mei Chen towards Tia and Ian.

"Mei-Mei, thank you. You're so talented."

Tia exclaimed as she hugged Mei Chen. Mei Chen immediately blushed.

"You're good. Thanks for your wishes."

Ian coldly said. Tia, Kenny and Mei Chen were all surprised hearing him giving compliments.

Mei Chen blushed even more upon hearing her domineering boss praising her.

Ian quite enjoyed her performance and he only gives credit when its due.

Elia approached them and held Mei Chen's hands.

"Girl you have such a good talent. Say, would you like to be a popular singer? I can help you."

Elia offered. She was thinking of venturing into entertainment business for quite sometime now but she couldn't find any talent that satisfied her taste.

But when she heard Mei Chen she knew she would be successful artist. Even her son had compliment her so she's definitely something.

Mei Chen stuttered as she was feeling confuse.

'I couldn't possibly declined my boss' mother right? '

She thought. Then she heard her sister Tia's calming voice.

"Mother I think little Mei is confuse and she's still recuperating. Maybe we can give her some time to think it through."

Elia agreed and handed her business card to little Mei.

"Mei-Mei if you have decided let me know okay I won't rush you."

"Yes madam Lee."

"Oh please call me auntie. My Tian-Tian's friends were also my friends and calling me madam makes me feel old."

Elia said then she languidly walked away from the young couples.

Mei Chen blushed. She thought she didn't belong to her sister Tia's world but now she felt happy that she was kinda recognized as one of them.

Out of impulse, Kenny held her hand. He knew Mei Chen was feeling left out.

"I'm happy for you."

He whispered to her ears. Her heart beats rapidly as if she was having a cardiac arrest.

"Lll...let's go get some drinks."

Mei Chen said and she excused herself to the newlyweds and looked for a waiter.

She hastily gulped down three glasses of champagne to calm her nerves.

She reckoned her plan to clear things out with Kenny will definitely happen tonight.
