147 Time To Move Out: Part 26

Friday, 9th of May 2021. Student council office. 1400 Hours.

As usual, Nathan was in that student council room as a request from one of the teachers. From all of the classes in the entire school, only 12-G and three other classrooms hadn't submitted their submission for their school festival. The student council asked the teachers to give Nathan an ultimatum so he gave the plan to the student council.

Laura was standing near him as usual as Nathan protested why he should give his submission. He always thought that the school festival was an unofficial event made by the student council that was passed from generation to generation. In short, they didn't have to obey that at all.

That statement was true since the school festival wasn't in the curriculum of the current educational system, but it didn't mean that Nathan had the right to refuse to join the school festival.

"It's just an event. My class won't participate, it's budget wasting and useless as fuck. I'd rather study at my class," Nathan said.

"It's a tradition Nathan, and I mean it. Get in line or face the consequences," Brendon said.

"And what are the consequences? There are no rules that forbid you of not participating in the school festival," Nathan said.

"You'll see, but right now. I encourage you to form an emergency plan with your classmates and form a plan for Monday asap," Brendon said.

Nathan stood up from the chair in that student council office. Laura did the same too and both of them walked to the door of that student council. There was a student council member with an M-16 guarding the door. He wouldn't move for Laura or Nathan.

"Excuse me," Laura requested.

The student didn't move, instead, he aimed his assault rifle at Laura. Before the tip of the barrel pointed to Laura's body, Laura had made a move by disarming the assault rifle and took it from the hands of that student.

"This is a dangerous toy, you know?" Laura put the magazine of that assault rifle away and pulled the charging handle to clear the chamber from bullets.

The other students immediately panicked and aimed their rifles at Laura and Nathan. Both of them raised their hands and Nathan commented, "we don't need a gunshot today. Let's put the weapon down and let us leave," Nathan said as he continued walking to the door.

"You'll see the results of your action soon," Brendon threatened him.

"And I'll be waiting," Nathan closed the door and both of them left the student council room. Brendon just grumbled on his chair.

Both Laura and Nathan just smiled when they looked at each other. Nathan complimented Laura's action of disarming the student that was aiming his rifle at her.

"It's our job as a contractor. We do it because we can," Laura commented on her own action.

"We should go somewhere else right?" Laura asked Nathan.

"You're right. Let's go to the FOB, the others should have been waiting for us," Nathan said and both of them went back to the classroom.

Friday, 9th of May 2021. Forward Operational Base. 1700 Hours.

"Alright, is the helicopter ready?" Nathan asked Aiden and Lisa since both of them and some other contractors were involved in the assembly of the Mi-26.

"Yup, ready to be loaded sir," Lisa said.

"Nice, how about the trucks?" Nathan asked Patrick and Clara.

"Two trucks are on standby on the storm drain. One of them has a crane so we can move the golds quicker," Patrick said.

"Well, I guess everything is going according to the plan. Well, let's go. I'll split all of you into four teams," Nathan opened his laptop and gave the simple layout of the bank that was drawn by his own hands.

Lynn, Clara, Patrick, Shaddam, Aveline, Lisa, and Aiden weren't included as the ground team. The rest of the contractors would be the ground team.

TEAM A: Protect the frontal side of the bank

•Laura (Charlie)

•Nathan (Echo)

•Eva (Golf)

•Fernando (Zulu)

TEAM B: Protect the flank side of the bank

•Henry (Yankee)

•Ryan (X-ray)

•Stacy (Kilo)

•Aline (Tango)

TEAM C: Transporting the gold

•Russell (India)

•Vincent (Victor)

•Sierra (Alex)

TEAM D: Truck and Drill operator

•Hannah (Quebec)

•Aurelia (Romeo)

•Yankee (Henry)

"Clear enough right?" Nathan asked.

Team C was really going to move the twenty tonnes of gold from one place to another. They would some kind of sack to move the gold one by one. They could carry twenty kilograms of gold at once, but it was still a lot of weight.

Team D would be drilling the hole and driving the military trucks that were carrying the gold into the Mi-26. One of the gold carriers would be brought to transport the gold from the truck into the helicopter. It was going to be exhausting, but it was worth it.

All of the contractors would remember that they were fighting for a billion-dollar. They wouldn't mind carrying any weight since it was well worth it. Patrick clapped his hands to appreciate Nathan's radical plan and the others did the same too.

"Nice, well done friend," Clara said as she clapped her hands.

"I can't believe that we are going to do this mad lad plan," Fernando clapped his hands.

"All of our hard work will be rewarded on Monday, ladies, and gentlemen. Let's make ourselves proud," Nathan closed the presentation as he turned his laptop off.

Aline stood up and replaced Nathan to do a presentation. She had a connection to someone in that bank. She could help them drop supplies. Aline's connection didn't know Aline either since it was a secretive contact.

"Alright guys, pre-planning," Aline said.
