198 Ambrosia Cartel: Part 5

The dots were seen in maps. The dots were somehow neatly placed in each and every country. Even America had those dots on the map. There wasn't anything ordinary in those maps. It showed them the base of operation of those cartels. There was a big X in the country where the contractors used to reside. It seemed that they had pulled out of the country due to the amount of force being forced on the Ambrosia.

Well, they didn't expect being attacked by tanks, apache, and fighter jets. It was quite a large punch for them. However, it seemed to happen a long time ago due to the ink that was barely visible on the map on the wall. "Kilo, do you copy?"

"Loud and clear Lima, what happened?"

"We have found all of the locations of Ambrosia cartel base of operation," Lynn replied.

"I see. Photograph it then return to base." Stacy closed the communication and Lynn pulled her smartphone out of the magazine rig. She took a picture of that map and immediately sent it to Stacy. She knew what to do after seeing those pictures.

Patrick observed that map further. The dots were spread thinly on strict countries such as North Korea, China, and Russia. That three countries had the least amount of cartel HQ. It seemed that destroying the Ambrosia cartel was not only a job that requires military power but also diplomacy power.

Lynn put her smartphone back into her magazine pocket and she walked outside of the main cartel building. She seemed to be very uncomfortable with the fact that Ambrosia had grown bigger than she had expected. She used to expect that the Ambrosia cartel was your ordinary criminal organization.

"From Sissy to this…" Lynn grumbled as she walked among the rubbles of the destroyed cartel building.

She thought about how far she had gone. Becoming a contractor used to be her way of getting vengeance, but now, she worked for world peace albeit without anyone knowing it besides the contractor themselves. Lynn didn't think about it if it was around four years ago, but well, it was the future and it would affect her and Patrick.

Patrick and the cartel didn't know for too long, however, he had the same grudge to the cartel as much as Lynn had. However, Patrick had more grudge to the terrorist in the middle east due to the fact that they made him went through all of the things that he had when he was a she.

Patrick would kill the leader of the terrorist, but well, the Russians had him tortured. Well, it was not a thing that Patrick would think as of now. Their focus was to get out of that hot zone and give the intelligence that they gathered to Stacy to be processed. The only thing they had to do was to press the RTB button and went back to the base.

The naked and rotten body of a girl that was laying down beside a stinky and rotten body of a cartel member. Lynn remembered that it had happened to her in the past. If it wasn't for the fact that Patrick had rescued her, she would have the same fate more or less. She still remembered the sensation of blood flowing from her crouch on that day, it wasn't something she wanted to go through again.

"Lynn, are we going to go back home?" Patrick showed his PDA to Lynn. Lynn looked back at her and she pulled out her PDA, the menu was the menu on returning to the base. "Let's go back to SDC." Lynn pressed a button on the PDA and she was teleported from that dark abandoned HQ of the cartel.

Patrick pressed a button and he immediately got teleported from that location and entered the main base of the SDC. He appeared in his room. The room was configured in the same way as the bunker that was located in the old town. It consisted of the bedroom, the study room, and the bathroom. The combat boots touched the wooden floor of the room.

The combat boots were very muddy. It was quite a contrast in comparison to the next room. Patrick took off his shoes and walked into the bathroom. He put his backpack onto the floor of the wooden floor of the room. He put his helmet in the cabinet inside the room. He walked into the bathroom of his room. He took off all of his clothes and took a shower. The clothes were filled with dust and mud from the jungle.

He finished taking a shower and got out of the bathroom. He wore a clean military uniform this time albeit it was the combination of a comfortable combat shirt and a new combat pants. He took a new pair of black clean shoes and wore them. He took off all of the storage units from the backpack.

Patrick took all of the storage units from the backpack. He wanted to give it to the intelligence section where the intel team was stationed. He got out of the room and he walked past Lynn that had changed into clean clothes. She held an HK416A7 in her hands. It seemed to be that she had the same idea as Patrick.

Patrick walked to the intelligence building with Lynn following him from behind. His hands were full of the hard disks that he had gathered from the recent operation. Although the sky had turned the dark outside of the main base, the lower deck of the base was still quite alive.

Outside of the living quarter, one could see that Nathan was playing badminton with Laura. It was twelve in the morning, and yet, those two seemed to be very energetic. They might sleep all day long since they were free.

Patrick left for the information building which was where the intel team was stationed. He opened the door of the building that was located on the lower deck of the main base. Patrick opened the door of the building. He entered the building with those hard drives.

The secretary's desk was empty if not for Stacy sitting down on it. Stacy seemed to be very excited about the intel that Patrick had brought. Patrick put those hard disks into the table one by one. The SSD and the HDD were placed on the secretary's desk. Stacy grabbed one of them and Patrick went back to the living quarter.

However, as he walked, Lynn grabbed on his hands. "Patrick, the night is still long. Would you mind making something from me?" Lynn said.

Lynn looked like a dog that was missing her master. Patrick really recognized that Lynn was clinging to him. Patrick didn't really mind about it. Patrick offered his hands and Lynn gave his rifle to him. Patrick retrieved it and he held it with his right hand.

Lynn immediately hugged Patrick's left hand as if it were for her alone. She clung to her and hugged her very hard. Nathan took notice of it. He just smiled at him as he continued playing the badminton inside of that base.

They walked into the cafeteria that was recently built by the other contractors using their building menu. Patrick and Lynn walked inside of the cafeteria and the cafeteria wasn't filled with food at all. The cafeteria was still filled with clean tools that could be used for cooking since there wasn't anyone cooking there.

There was one machine that caught Patrick's attention. The machine was a coffee machine that could do anything ranging from brewing coffee, grinding it, and even automatically set the best temperature for the coffee itself.

"Well, Lynn, what do you want? Latte as usual?" Patrick asked.

Lynn stopped hugging Patrick's hand and she went for a sit inside of that cafeteria. Patrick walked into that barista machine. There were several packages of coffee beans near that machine. It seemed to be that Nathan had known about Patrick's part-time job as a barista that he even bought one of the machines for Patrick.

Lynn observed him from afar. Patrick smoothly put the coffee beans inside of the grinder and ground those beans. A container was used to catch all of the powder from the coffee beans. Patrick put those coffee powder inside of the other hole and he put a cup below of it.

Coffee started dripping from the machine and it was very black and very thick. Patrick mixed that coffee with milk and added some simple syrup inside of the coffee. He served the latte with a straw and cookie. He brought two cups to Lynn.

"Thanks. Patrick. Have a good night." Lynn grabbed a cup and drunk it.
