201 Ambrosia Cartel: Part 8

The F-15 shot the Su-47 one by one using its missiles. It was truly a spectacular view that only could be orchestrated by the white death itself, Lynn. The mysterious squadron that kept chasing Patrick from behind was shot down one by one. Patrick caught that chance and turned the tables against them.

As the focus of the other aircraft was focused on Lynn, Patrick pulled a pugachev maneuver and he shot down two of the other fighter jets with his autocannon. The autocannon managed to shoot two Sukhoi fighter jets at once. Patrick himself couldn't believe it. The pilot didn't even eject. Only God knew what they were thinking.

"For the king."

The last word sends a chill down Patrick's spine. The king. The meaning of that word alone wasn't making any sense to Patrick's brain. The king. Who was the king? There wasn't any country in South America capable of dispatching a 4th generation fighter jet and yet, they were here with experimental fighter jets with black paint. There was a slight yellow on the tips of each wing.

"So you're the new enemy, I wish we meet in a different circumstance."

The meaning of that sentence was still unknown to him as of now. There wasn't any reason for the adversaries to say that out loud on an unsafe frequency that exposed their communication. They were trying to achieve something by saying those words, but the purpose was still unknown to them.

Lynn: "Delta, finish the job. I'll take this one."

Patrick: "Copy that. Engaging enemies."

Patrick flew behind one of the Su-47s from behind. That plane was very agile, but there was a weak spot. Every time they made a new maneuver, there was a slight reduction in their maneuverability. Patrick used the chance to catch a breath with his Su-35S that wasn't as agile as the Su-47. Lynn, on the other hand, used the advantage of her stronger jet engine. She climbed up until the pilot of the Su-47 experienced any stalling and Lynn used that opportunity to shoot at the plane that had changed its direction.

"Revise the flight pattern."

"The enemy is flying in an unpredictable pattern."

The enemy was referring to the way that Patrick flew the plane. He sometimes followed Lynn from behind to ease up her load or fooling the adversaries by bringing them in front of Lynn's line of sight. Lynn shot a missile at the plane that took the bait. One by one, wreckages from the planes were falling from the sky in the form of scrap metals.

"You made quite a mess on the Ambrosia. The gate shall be opened for the new king."

"What do you mean?"

"World with peace. People are happy. We are happy. This is what Ambrosia cartel is aiming for."

Lynn sighed. She knew the Ambrosia's doing since the very start. All they had done to her body was simply unforgivable. Those people in Ambrosia deserved a fate worse than death. Lynn would torture them for eternity if the Geneva suggestion allowed it.

"Your peace is merely an illusion."

"We will raise the king in Panama. The world shall know peace."

Patrick didn't want to hear his blabbering anymore. He tailed the plane from behind and as he went closer and closer to that black Su-47, he shot the short-range agile missile at the plane and shot it down. The pilot of the plane ejected from his plane. However, he managed to say his last word.

"Ambrosia shall be the beacon of the new world."

That was the pilot's last sentence before he parachuted safely to the ground. Patrick flew in a formation. He flew alongside Lynn. Patrick was glad that she was here. If not for her, Patrick wouldn't be able to see another day.

However, the conversation about the king and the other unrecognizable discussion that the pilot from that Ambrosia cartel told a very big question on his head. There was no chance on Earth that he would miss those very detailed and weird conversations. It seemed to be very philosophic, but it wasn't clear either, like an engraving on a stone.

"I think we're in the clear. What on earth did the dude say?" Lynn asked.

"No idea. I don't want to think about it either. Clara, I'm glad you're back on time. Without you, Lynn wouldn't fly the plane," Patrick said.

"Well, for starter, even if I didn't return from the minefield, Mr.Diarrhea would accompany Lynn but the cockpit would full of shits," Clara said.

"I see. Well, let's just return to the base and let Ryan and Stacy analyze these images. I also managed to capture some images of the fighter jet. This should come in handy later on."

Those jets flew back in the direction of the main base that the SDC owned. It seemed to be that the weather wasn't that friendly. However, it wasn't as unfriendly as the weather when they entered that abandoned VLFS for the first time. An ATC tower had been built in that SDC after all, it would help them land in the upper deck of the SDC.

It only took them some minutes until they arrived at the SDC main base. The air traffic controllers were Aiden and Lisa that were monitoring the air for hostiles or friendlies. They were capable of helping any aircraft to land on the runway of the floating platform.

ATC: "Jackal flight. I see you coming in the direction of 2-7-0. Reduce your altitude to 2,000 meters to avoid thundercloud. It's raining here."

Lynn: "Copy that tower. Lowering altitude now."

Those planes flew closer to the sea level and rainwater immediately hit the glass canopy of their fighter jets. It turned out that the weather on the North Atlantic Ocean wasn't friendly at all. It was the combination of heavy rain and thunders. You could call it thunderstorm if you want, but it was far more severe than that.

ATC: "I see you on the horizon. Maintain your current course. I'll light the runway up for you."

The lights on the runway were turned on. The lights on the runway were colored white and it shined very brightly. Patrick lowered his landing gear as he approached closer to the runway. He pulled his throttle backward and applied the airbrake on his aircraft. The airbrake reduced the speed of the aircraft itself.

ATC: "You're too high. Lower your nose!"

Patrick pushed the stick of his aircraft to lower the nose of the jet. Patrick hit the runway afterward and applied the brakes for his aircraft. He slowed down at a faster rate.

ATC: "Initiate visual landing."

Patrick went to a complete stop once he reached half of the runway and turned his plane to space on that upper deck. Lynn's F-15 landed shortly and Lynn parked it close to Patrick's aircraft. The place where they parked their planes was a designated spot for a fighter aircraft.

ATC: "I'll lower the platform to you. You'll like what changed when you are gone."

The platform where the jet was parked was lowered. The platform was lowered to the lower deck where the other contractors were waiting. However, the aura and the feel of the base seemed to be very different. It felt like a small town right now. People or soldiers were walking in that base. A lot of buildings had been established inside of that base.

'Wow,' Patrick looked at everything with his own eyes. The place that used to be a ghost town had started to feel lively. People with many different colors were doing their tasks in the base. Some were cleaning the planes, while the others were training with their team leader. As Patrick and Lynn arrived at the lower deck, they opened the cockpit of the aircraft and an Arabic man approached them.

He put a ladder near the aircraft and helped Lynn to get down from the aircraft. Clara was impatient so she jumped straight from the cockpit, into the ground. Patrick went down by himself and the first thing that he got was a salute from one of the mechanics in that base.

"Welcome home, commander." He saluted and Patrick saluted back although he didn't have any idea on the purpose of that salute. Lynn was as confused as Patrick when the man that helped her saluted at her. They thought the same thing. 'What's going on?'
