204 Ambrosia Cartel: Part 11

An emergency alarm filled the whole base at that time. Personnel was moving to their position with their weaponry in their hands. Patrick, Lynn, and Clara had gone to the air to escort the unknown aircraft outside of the SDC air space. Nathan and Laura were in the command center while looking at the signature of the aircraft on the large screen that was located in the middle of the room.

The large screen displayed the silhouette of the aircraft that seemed to be a bombardier private jet. The problem was that the automatic scanner designated that target as hostile since it had the same identification as a United States military jet that usually bombed people in the middle east. It was weird, but eventually, Nathan marked that flying object as a potential object. However, he wanted Patrick and Lynn to intercept it first.

Patrick: "To Flight Bravo-Lima-Alpha-5-9-0, you're flying into a restricted flight area. I say again, you're flying to a restricted flight area."

Unknown: "This is Flight BLA-590, we have the authorization to fly in this area according to the international law."

Patrick: "BLA-590, divert your flight course or you will be engaged."

Unknown: " *Rumbling noise of headphone being forcefully taken off from a head* "

Patrick: "BLA-590, is there a highjacking? Please respond in 200 seconds."

Unknown: "Let me handle it… Why are you so unfriendly? My potential son-in-law."

'What the heck?"

Lynn: "Agent Herring."

Herring: "Exactly."

Patrick: "The main base, this is Golden Fox 3. Target is a friendly aircraft."

Nathan: "Golden Fox 3, I have a solid copy on that one. I'll allow him to enter the base. Main base out."

[STOPPING TRANSCRIPTION]

It was bogus, the target was none other than your friendly CIA agent, Agent Herring. For some unknown reason, that bloody CIA black operative decided to visit the main base of HSDC. It looked like Herring had discovered the existence of HSDC which was not a big surprise since HSDC itself wasn't as secretive as it was used to be.

Nathan walked outside of the command center and took a lift to go to the upper deck. The upper deck was where the jets would land whether it was the military one or the civilian one. Nevertheless, he wanted to see the face of that CIA agent again. He rarely saw Herring since he only contacted Lynn or Patrick.

After the lift took him to the upper deck, the combination of the hot air from the jet blast and the smell of the ocean hit his face. The two fighter jets had landed on the upper deck of the base and the one who blasted his face was the civilian jet that Herring used. Lynn and Patrick were waiting in their pilot outfit at the end of the runway.

The jet was parked according to the instructions of the personnel on the upper deck. It was parked on the ramp that would lower itself down to the below deck. However, the contractors wanted to let Herring went down his jet first.

A man with grey hair stepped down of the private jet, alongside two soldiers in their gear. They were special forces since no one would accompany a black operative to an unknown zone beside the special forces. It was weird that Herring only brought two of them. Well, it was expected since he might only bring them to formalities with his agency.

From afar, Lynn could be seen hugging the person that he called father. Patrick just smiled while looking at those two. Nathan kept running to that private jet. There wasn't any good explanation for a high-ranking member of the SAD to visit HSDC. HSDC itself stood for Havaleard Security and Defense Contractor. A name that would replace the old name whether it was official or not.

Herring was searched by the personnel of HSDC for any trackers or jammer and so did the special forces. It turned out that they came out clean. They didn't bring anything that was out of the ordinary. One of the personnel entered that jet to search for something suspicious, but they didn't find anything either. Nathan who had arrived near that private jet had questions on his mind, but he didn't have the heart to destroy the heartwarming reunion.

Patrick poked him from behind. "Herring won't betray us. Mark my words."

Nathan replied, "I don't know. I can't trust the CIA."

"Hmm, Davis. Nice to meet you." Herring offered him his hand.

Nathan shook his hand. "Nice to meet you again, Agent Herring." Nathan released his hand and put it back on the rifle that was in front of his body. The SAD security details didn't feel so comfortable being put between all of those armed mercenaries whose equipment might be better than them. Well, for starter, they were literally just a man that was holding an assault rifle with a T-shirt and combat pants.

"Well, it was not a part of the plan for them to be here," said Herring.

Well, the presence of them inside of that base didn't make anything better at all. To be honest, as far as the others could see, Herring was an uninvited guess from a foreign agency that might have a hostile intention with them. It was unclear what Herring was doing here, but welcoming them wouldn't make any negative effect.

The platform went down to the main base and Herring was amazed by what the contractors had done to the place. It seemed that the contractors had refurbished the place into heaven for soldiers. There were lots of soldiers who were either training or relaxing in the R\u0026R area. There was no doubt about that.

"Tell me something, what is the secret of these growing forces?" Herring asked.

"Nothing sir, it's just our commitment, and money," Nathan said.

For starter, they hadn't run out of money since the money from the last heist hadn't run out. Second, they had a source of income since they were participating in gunrunning activities as of now. They basically became one of the suppliers to many fighting forces around the world. They literally made a cheaper copy of HK416 and sold it at 10% of the real price.

HK didn't know they actually existed so they didn't have any idea on the gunrunning activities either. The CIA wouldn't tell them since HSDC was their allies in any black operation where the CIA didn't want to be involved. However, it was something to be proud of that HSDC had some informal alliance with the biggest intelligence agency in the whole world.

"Patrick, where is my room?" Herring asked.

"Your private jet isn't good enough?" Patrick asked.

"It's a jet, not a living quarter," Herring replied.

"Nathan, would you kindly show the way for this old man," Lynn said to him. Nathan felt like a servant once Lynn told her that. Technically, she shouldn't since Nathan was the leader of the HSDC, but it wouldn't stop Lynn from doing so either. The platform arrived at the bottom part of the VLFS and Nathan guided Herring to his room.

"Lynn, would you kindly take Blackjack and Spongebob to their bunk?" Herring asked.

"Yes, pa." Lynn walked to the living quarter to escort those two special operators. Clara approached Patrick in full clad combat uniform. There was something that needed his immediate attention. Weirdly enough, that full-clad combat uniform was a bomb suit since. However, Clara was waiting for those special forces from the CIA to leave.

Lynn took them away and Clara inspected the plane. If Clara took an interest in an object, it would be bad. She smelled an explosive inside of the Bombardier jet. If there was an explosion inside of the jet, Patrick would worry about the CIA stance on HSDC. One of their SADs was dead and no one could prove that HSDC wasn't the perpetrator.

Clara entered the aircraft with his bomb suit. She brought a plier with her as usual since she had a feeling that there was a bomb inside of the plane. It turned out, there was a bomb inside of the plane. The alarm was sounded again and the people inside of the base were put on high alert again since the bomb could make a hole inside of that reinforced concrete. Things became tenser as Patrick ran to a concrete barrier to protect himself from the explosion.

"ALERT! ALERT! ALERT!"

The alert voice message started repeating in the background. Clara got out of the plane with a cooling box that was filled with explosives. Yes, the box was filled with C4 charges. 'What in the actual?'
