222 Ambrosia Cartel: Part 29

"Clara, what the hell? We just went back from a very dangerous mission and suddenly the HQ required us again? What's the matter? Don't we have enough squadron laying around?" Lynn complained as she ran to one of the jets inside of the hangar.

"Well, first of all, this is a covert flight mission which requires us to fly under a safe flying level. Well, to be honest, we must fly under the radar with something that could reach the speed of Mach 3. Second of all, there is no better pilot than you and Patrick," Clara said.

"Funny enough Clara. Needless to say, I like this jet better than the old one." Patrick looked at his jet which was different from his usual jet. The jet itself was the F-22 raptor. Yes, Patrick was given the permission to fly the state-of-the-art fighter jet all by himself. It was armed with six missiles that could shoot down any unwanted adversaries from the shy without the other party knowing that Patrick had locked on the jet.

"Well, at least you have the comfort of trying a new jet," Clara said.

"Ma'am, wait. It's not your jet," A lieutenant said.

"Well, where is my jet then?" Lynn asked.

"That one." He pointed his hand at two jets that were parked on the other side of the hangar. That jet was the other F-22s that would be used by both commanders. It seemed to be that Clara wouldn't be flying together with Lynn after all. Well, it was a covert flight mission so a stealth jet fighter would be needed to ensure the maximal amount of success while maintaining secrecy.

"Hmm, nice." Lynn climbed into the cockpit of the F-22 and she closed it. Clara also did the same and she closed the cockpit of the jet. Patrick had been inside of his jet and he had waved his hand at the girls who were inside of their fighter jets.

Their codename for this mission was Infanta squadron. Their job was to escort a VIP outside of Mexican airspace, into the United States. This job was given by none other than the bloody CIA agent which was called Herring. He didn't want any involvement from the states, but he would need an outsider's help to do that job and that was when HSDC came into the game.

ATC: "Infanta squadron. You're cleared to take off at runway six."

The jet moved slowly, one by one into the runway. Patrick was the one who would be leading the squadron so he was the one who moved his jet into the runway of the base. Lynn and Clara followed him from behind. Their codename was simple. Patrick was Infanta one, Lynn was Infanta two, while Clara was Infanta Three.

"Copy that. The sky is clear, Infanta 1." Patrick pushed the thruster of the fighter jet and it lifted off from the ground and left a trail of afterburner on its back. Lynn and Clara followed him from behind as the plane took off from the ground. They would refuel with a KC-130 within three hundred kilometers from the base.

Clara gave the mission briefing shortly after that.

"OK, this should be quick and easy as long as we're careful. First of all, we need to fly below the radar once we enter the Mexican airspace. Our VIP was using a private jet which we have to follow until it reached its destination which is Area 51. Yes, our VIP was somehow brought to the restricted area," Clara said.

"Hmm. Who is this VIP and what makes him so important?" Patrick asked.

"Well, this VIP is one of the lead engineers from the US government. This engineer was one of the engineers in the United States black project. This engineer held and knew a lot of information which could damage US reputation on the whole world if that secret went everywhere," Clara said.

"Hmm, I see." Patrick pushed the throttle of the jet forward and he gained more velocity.

Three Hours Later.

The tanker was up ahead and it was escorted with a squadron of jet fighters. Those jet fighters were the Su-35s squadrons. They might have gone from a dangerous mission and they were going back to the main base as they escorted that flying tanker.

Patrick lined up its plane with the tanker refueling probe and he waited until the boom operator attached the nozzle of the refueling probe into his plane. Patrick kept his plane steady as the refueling probe was attached to his plane. The fuel gauge on the digital screen of the F-22 went up quickly as the fuel was filled inside the gas tank.

"So, Commander, how was your day?" The boom operator asked.

"It was good. Thanks for asking. How about you?" Patrick asked.

"As usual sir. We just sit around all day like a moving gas station while waiting for a fighter aircraft to be filled," he said.

"I see." Patrick detached his plane from the nozzle of the tanker since it had been filled to the brim. Patrick let the other planes refilled its fuel since it would be a very long ride with a very dangerous role to be fulfilled. Patrick looked at the mission details on his PDA. The mission details were enough to tell him that the mission was indeed needed to be very covert.

[Escort an engineer]

This engineer is one of the engineers working for the experimental hypersonic glide entry vehicle that is developed to counter the threat of Russian Hypersonic missiles. However, this person has too much on his head. I suggest you can escort him until he reaches Area 51. I believe this should be a walk in the park for contractors and the others. However, I suggest you to keep flying low since it will keep your visibility to a minimum.

The jet will take off from Mexican International airport at one in the morning. You can trace it down and escort it. I won't acknowledge the existence of this mission and I won't be held responsible for your actions. You're on your own. Good luck.

Reward: [Much Love. Herring]

'That old had really rent us just because of the fact that his step-daughter was here to help us. Damn, I need to warn Lynn later about this,' Patrick kept looking at the displayed radar on his HUD. There were multiple objects in the sky, but he was looking for one jet. That one jet was a bombardier jet that the US would usually use to escort their VIP.

Patrick was identifying the target one by one based on their flight signature. He observed most of the planes that were taking off from the Mexican international airport. Those planes were a Boeing 747 most of the time or any Airbus that carried commercial passengers all over the world. However, Patrick still hadn't found any target that matched the signature of a Bombardier private jet.

"Patrick, find anything yet?" Clara asked through the private frequency.

"Negative. It's all commercial jets without any sign of a private jet. However, we will find it soon. Don't worry too much about that." Lynn had finished her refueling.

Three planes were looping around the airport now while waiting for the private jet for taking off. It would not be wasting any fuel since they used their fuel as efficiently as possible by gliding on the sky with minimum engine thrust. However, it would damage their maneuverability, and be fired upon was something that wouldn't want to do.

"Patrick, I see one blip on the radar. I will transfer the information now," Clara said as Patrick received a package of data from Clara.

It was the radar signature of the Bombardier jet and it only had been in the sky for two minutes. Infanta squadron started following that Bombardier private jet from behind and they kept their altitude way higher than the bombardier private jet.

They would dive down once they reached El Paso since it was one of the border cities and it marked the start of their long-distance flight into the territory of United States. However, it was an authorized flight, but being found wasn't something that they wanted as of now since it was a full covert operation that must be kept a secret.

If it weren't for the fact that the existence of that engineer wasn't questionable, Patrick wouldn't even be flying the jet. The US air force could do that on their own without Patrick's or Lynn's help. However, there wasn't any reason for Lynn to refuse it since she had viewed Herring as his step-father.
