Madam Wang instructed the crew to turn in the direction of Lingyun Town.
Liu Mo-Mo was chatting with Madam Wang, “Xiao Xiang that kid, was without parents since he was little. Growing up to this age alone, never had any big fallouts. Others only see him as having royal background, and do outrageous things, but never seeing his sufferings behind it all. He really is a great kid that is difficult to find even when holding a lantern.”
Madam Wang nodded, “A kid growing up to this age in a flesh eating place like the Imperial City really is not easy.
Liu Mo-Mo, was quite pleased, “Yes, it’s really not easy. Yes years, I’ve always been worried that he could not live on, and now he finally has grown up, and I am old now. Whatever day I suddenly close my eyes, in the nether world when I go see his parents, I can feel relieved.”
“Mo-Mo is not old yet, one can live a hundred years. Ordinary people probably can not, but Mo-Mo’s body is still strong so living to one hundred is not a problem.” Madam Wang smiled assuring her.
Liu Mo-Mo started laughing, “I also want to live till one hundred and see Xiao Xiang marry and have kids.”
“Definitely will,” Madam Wang said smiling, “Ye Shi-zi does not need to worry about finding a wife.”
Liu Mo-Mo shook her head and sighed, “Aye, how not worried? These years, the ladies in the Imperial City all stay far far away from him, no one is willing to marry. If he is as likable as Xiao Guo-jiu, than I do not need to be worrisome.”
Madam Wang found it funny, “There has to be someone willing to marry.”
Liu Mo-Mo rubbed the center of her eyebrow, smiling while nodding, “Hopefully it will be settled soon, taking the load off of this old lady’s heart.”
The two picked up casual talks here and there, after an hour they arrived at the Lingyun Town at the bottom of the mountain of Lingyun Temple.
The crew arrived at the farmhouse, the carriage stopping in front of the entrance. The servant that attended to the farmhouse had gotten message ahead of time and was waiting at the entrance to receive them.
Madam Wang woke up Su Feng Nuan.
After taking a nap, Su Feng Nuan was very alert, pushing aside the curtain and looking outside. Not seeing the temple on the mountain, she questioned, “Wai-po, weren’t we going to Lingyun Temple? Why are we here?”
“We came across Ye Shi-zi along the way, he said that Lingyun Temple was undergoing renovation, and we brought many servants so there probably wouldn’t be enough boarding space, so we came to the farmhouse.” Madam Wang said.
Su Feng Nuan momentarily wasn’t able to return from the thought, “Ye Shi-zi?”
“It was Xiao Xiang.” Liu Mo-Mo said merrily, “You were asleep and did not see him. The lion he just tamed is sick, so he is in a hurry to go to Lingyun Temple to look for Lingyun Da-shi to heal it.”
“Oh.” Su Feng Nuan said, nodded, and got off the carriage.
Madam Wang took with her a group of servants and entered the farmhouse.
The farmhouse was spacious, with a large courtyard, and had ten and some rooms. In the back was a semi-hillside field, with fruits and melons planted. Farther out was a mountain forest.
This place was at the outskirts of Lingyun Town, not close or far from town. The air was very fresh, away from the noisy atmosphere, very tranquil.
Su Feng Nuan inhaled a breath of fresh air, and stretched herself, exclaiming happily, “This place is so close to the mountains, can go to the hillside forest to hunt some pheasants.”
Madam Wang laughed and hit her head, “Piggish girl.”
Su Feng Nuan stuck out her tongue.
Since they were away from the Wang Manor and Madam Wang sympathized with Su Feng Nuan for being locked up these few days to learn etiquettes, she told Liu Mo-Mo ahead of time that while outside she did not need to learn etiquettes. Liu Mo-Mo smiled in agreement and so Madam Wang arranged a separate room for Su Feng Nuan.
After settling in, Su Feng Nuan found herself a bow and arrows, and ran to the mountain in the back.
Arriving at the back mountain, it didn’t take much work to strike down two pheasants. When she was planning to go back, she saw a fiery fox, very beautiful one. She cast aside the pheasants, unwilling to hurt it by the arrow she started chasing after it.
The fiery fox’s speed was very quick, it was lucky that her martial skills were good since the fiery fox had ran some ten some miles before she was able to catch up to it. Finding the opportunity, she flung out a silk belt from her waist to wind it up.
Just when she got the fiery fox entangled, before she reached it, from an angled proximity an arrow soared over.
The feathered arrow came by with a sense of swift and fierceness in sound as it broke through the air. If it was hit, the fiery fox would be left with half a life if not dead.
Su Feng Nuan chased the little fox ten some miles was because she didn’t bare to hurt it, which was the reason why she didn’t use an arrow, and at this moment definitely would not let anyone hurt this treasure that is in her hands already. In a hurry she brought out the soft sword from her waist to block the arrow.
Only hearing a ‘ding’ sound and that arrow strike right at the handle of the sword.
Su Feng Nuan’s sword was a very good and so the arrow was bounced back, but since the strength of the arrow was too strong, too overpowering, so even though she used 70 per cent of her force of the blow still still hurt her arm and forced her back a good few steps.
The arrow bounced back at least 4 feet and rested on a tree, its strength landing it into the wood.
Su Feng Nuan saw that the little fox was not hurt and let out a sigh of relief, stepping forward immediately and bringing it into her embrace, “Little thing, finally caught you.”
The little whined a bit and was very active in her embrace.
“Miss’ martial skills are very good!” A young voice came from an angled direction, warm and gentle, very nice to the ears.
Su Feng Nuan turned her head around and saw the approaching person. Only seeing a person, a young man about the age of her 3rd Brother. Dressed in a simple yet elegant robe, tall, and wore a jade adorned belt. His face was like his voice, warm, gentle, and elegant.
In his hand is a very good bow, very apparent was that the arrow from earlier was shot out by it.
Su Feng Nuan observed him from up to down, her final glance rested on the bow and arrow in his hand, “Gong-zi also have very good arrow skills.”
“Good arrow skills, but not as good as Miss’. The man smiled and extended his hand to pull out the arrow from the wood, “Although the strength of the arrow has shot it into the wood 30 percent, but of it 10 or 20 percent is likely of Miss’ own martial skill.”
Su Feng Nuan raised an eyebrow, not knowing what to say, smoothing the fur coat of the little fox in her arms she said, “I’ve already chased this fox ten some miles before catching it, so definitely would not want it to be killed. Gong-zi should find another hunt.”
The man smiled and nodded, “Since its Miss’ catch, this little fox naturally belongs to Miss, how can I take what one desires.”
Su Feng Nuan seeing that he was not pressing, was very mannered, and easy talking, held the little fox and turned around to leave.
She left very swift and straightforward, the young man was a little shocked, calling out after her, “Miss, please wait a moment.”
Su Feng Nuan stopped in her track, turned around to look at him, “Is Gong-zi turning back on his words? Thinking that you should not have let me leave with the fox that easily?”
The man laughed, shaking his head, “Although meeting by chance, but meeting in this quiet mountain forest is also a destined encounter. May I ask for Miss’ name?”
Su Feng Nuan blinked her eyes, her glance unconsciously roaming at the jade on his belt, smiling as she asked, “Normally when a man ask a lady for her name it’s because they have wishful thinking. Could it be that Gong-zi has only met me once and already has wishful thinking towards me?”
The man stiffened.
Su Feng Nuan smiled watching him, waiting for his reply.
The man let out a laugh, shaking his head, “I do not have wishful thinking. Only, I think that I may encounter Miss again in the future, so to avoid not knowing how to acknowledge you, so that is why I asked.”
Su Feng Nuan’s expression changed a bit, nodded, “What you say makes some sense.” After saying so, she looked to be in difficult situation and said, “But my mother told me I’m not to tell my name to men that I do not know.”
The man stiffens again.
Su Feng Nuan said innocently, “I can only say sorry I can not tell, may Gong-zi pardon.”
The man was speechless for a moment.
Su Feng Nuan continued to turn around with the little fox in her arms, at the same time thinking, chasing this little thing for ten some miles, now how to go back?
After taking two steps, the man again spoke, “Miss please wait.”
Su Feng Nuan stopped and sighed helplessly, “What is it you want? If you want the little fox just say so, why keep telling me wait, wait, again and again?”
The man watched her, not knowing what to say for a moment before saying to her, “I’m loss, do Miss know the way? Please take me with you.”
