57 Chapter 54 training and beginning of final round

Kash P.O.V

After dealing with the whole mess for 2 days I can finally get ready for my first match, all I know is he is a hoenn native so he will most likely have 1 of the 3 starters. As I talk to Lucy and giving some of the details of the last few days and ask for her opinion and all she told me was to use Zweilous first as it can be unexpected along with all the resistences he has, getting me to agree. Making my team Zweilous, Cinder, Weavile, Creek, Shin and Spiritomb getting rid of most of the my opponents work they did beforehand to face me. Since I have 1 day I walk for a few hours in a random direction to get some privacy to train as I have all my Pokémon their own training programs for tomorrow.

I start with Cinder as he is easily my strongest Pokémon at this point he almost double the size of a regular Houndoom, he has a strong physical body, great control of his fire and dark energy and a few fusion combinations of his moves. What I want to increase is his battle awareness as during battle I see a few of his moves miss resulting in consumption in his energy making him tired more easily. For that I look for some wild Pokémon that have great speed and I make a deal with them for giving them great quality food, they will provide targets for him to hit with his attacks.

I train Shin and Weavile together as they both have a great understanding on reading their environment thanks to training, I haven't really trained Weavile in combat since his eye is missing and I really needed to teach him depth perception. As for Shin he hasn't really had as much of this type of training since he evolved, cause I wanted to increase his mobility with teaching him how to read the wind in different environments. As I have them use physical moves against each other as I watch them and give them pointers on making close dodges and counter attacking using there opponents moves against them. It is transferring the flow of battle and understanding it and reading it allowing them to win there battles more easily and efficient.

Zweilous is next and is quite easy for him and Creek, as I want Zweilous to practice his moves by controlling the intensity of them on Creek. From it Creeks body gets used to feeling different attacks thanks to his physical body, I need for him to work on shrugging them off so he can attack while getting attacked.

Now one of the hardest to train is Spiritomb is one of the hardest to train as he already has great control and his specialty us well trained as well. So I am thinking I will train his accuracy and getting him to work on attacking spontaneously from different directions, as I trained him the least personally I decide to hep him now by throwing different targets to have train his mobility as well. I throw different disposable plates in all directions, while using different attacks to hit them and you can see the progress he makes since the beginning as he was missing around 40 percent and it went down close to 15 percent. All my Pokemon are making progress the least being Cinder as I think he needs stronger Pokemon to train agaisnt and I wont be able to find those here.

Next day

When I arrive at the stadium the rest of my group was already at there seats ready to watch and cheer for me as they wished me good luck before. When I hear cheering and the announcer

Announcer "What a great battle with Trevor winning a close battle with his opponent. Now for the 2nd match here we have Jay and Kash who both made it to today with great results and hope for a great match to watch. Now here they come" As me and my opponent walk onto the field to see a full stadium as we reach our respective spots we here the wheel spinning to choose the terrain for the 1st half as it stops on forest when the referee states

Referee "This is a 6 on 6 full battle, with the forest biome until 1 trainer has 3 Pokemon knocked out causing it to change" as we prepare to battle and call out our 1st Pokemon

As I call out Zweilous and he calls out Xatu I wonder if he did this becasue he knows my liking of dark type Pokemon and just wants to tire me out. As I start by having him use dark pulse to knock him down to be able to hit him with crunch, but I underestimate how far he gets hits as he gets sent farther in. When I hear my opponent use teleport and then use confuse ray as he arrives behind my Pokemon as he starts his move I call for dragon tail as both hit. While his Pokemon is sent flying towards a tree he uses teleprt to minamise damage, while my Pokemon gets confused but I am not worried as he well versed in it thanks to his favourite move. As I see xatu appear in the sky again this time looking alot more tired as I hear him call for roost, showing me this is going to be a long battle. As I try I call for him to headbutt a tree to get rid of his confused state then for him to try his new move we have been working on as I call for him to fuse dragon pulse, dark pulse and dragon breath combing the power between them. As it needs some set up my opponent is able to heal fully but not enough time to dodge as he gets hit and we see him fall to the ground knocked out.

Referee "Xatu is unable to continue, the match is 6 to 5."as he recalls but to my surprise he starts to shine as he evolves to Hydreigon who is flying around with joy as I feel it radiating off of him, when my opponent calls out his next Pokemon as I see a Sceptile appear looking lean and mean. As I see he wants to make use of this terrain due to his Pokemons advantage, him being in his natural terrain and all. When I tell him

Kash "Good choice but it wont be enough as I have great confidence in this match up" as I hope my Pokemon can get used to his new body quickly as I don't want to change him at this moment

Trevor "This Pokemon has been here with me since the beginning of my journey last year, I trust him with this important match. Even if I have no idea what I am facing here"
