62 Chapter 59 quarter final match

Kash P.O.V

After there match everybody was went thier seperate ways allowing for me to prepare for tomorrow as I am facing that water specialist with the strong Ludicolo I saw from before. Causing me to have apremonition of fate causing me to change my team a little bit, while looking at Cinder who looks at me and knowing at what I am thinking glares telling me to put that idea out of my head. As I head to the Pokecenter to talk to gramps when I enter and reach the phone to call him as it rings and he answers

Oak's "Nice battle today Kash, her Houndoom was well trained I am guessing for your fondness of her style you gave her some pointer or tips"

Kash "For sure gramps, more people need to be aware on how they limit them selves and there Pokémon. On that note I want to change some Pokémon for tomorrow, I am guessing you know who" as he looks at me and thinks of my opponent tomorrow and nods

Oak "Sure no problem and Hydrogedion is a marvel to study, he seems different to the rest of the dragon types I have seen so far" as he walks away and transfers the Pokémon I need for tomorrow as I thank him and head out back to tell them the plans for tomorrow, as I only know 4 of her Pokémon giving me some unknown but little worry.

Next day

As I make my way to the stadium I feel quite confident in my strategy for today. When I reach the door and enter the field I see my opponent already there ready as I am just a tad late. As I hear the announcer

Announcer "Now that both trainers are here we can start our Quarter Finals, with Kash on the red side and Lake on the green side. It is a full battle with a field change after the first trainer with 3 Pokémon is knocked out, now let us spin for the field" as we watch the screen that will determine the field as it comes up as the water field causing my opponent to smile. As the field is changing we can see the field appearing with floating platforms for Pokemon who cant swim or at least battle while swimming.

My first Pokemon for this battle is Dash and my opponent calls out Kingdra as we wait for the Referee to start the match, as we listen to the usual rules and then we finally get the signel to start. I start with an aqua jet into poison fang as she uses smokescreen to block our vision and allowing her to dodge as I see Dash jump out of the water as he cant see. While he is in the air I call for him to use aqua jet to hit the water to clear water and see our target, when it clears you can see Kingdra setting up hydro pump making me see her plan and confirming her ability as the attack is unleashed and hits Dash causing bubbles to form blocking our view as I just look confident as he appears with barely a scratch. Thanks to his training regimen increaseing his defense with his scales allowing for him to last longer letting his speed increase through out the match. As I have him increase the power behind poison fang with crunch and head straight towards kingdra as he clamps on not allowing for his opponent to get away. Lake tries to get her Pokemon to escape by using scald but I counter it as I have him use ice beam while still biting onto his opponent making it point blank range. As they seperate you see Kingdra slowly float up to the surface of the water with dash circling around her in victory her weird ritual after every victory.

Referee "Kingdra is unable to continue, Lake is down to 5 while Kash is at full strength" as she recalls her Pokemon and yells over to me

Lake "I have never seen a Sharpedo like that, such a strong defense and physical body, but you got a little lucky Kingdra's ability didn't kick in as I think it would have been a different ball game. Also it is a beautiful colour making a dream for many trainers to want more so for females due to him being Pink"

Kash "Thanks, I trained him well after saving him and he has followed what I have asked of him the most out of the majority of my Pokemon." as I smile as he looks at me from the water,

When she calls out her next Pokemon as it surprises me as it's a shiny Crawdaunt as she tells me it's in honor of my Pokemon, as she calls for brick break as she tries to hit Dash. As Dash just out speeds him, causing her Crawdaunt to get frustrated as she calls for ice beam trying to direct Dash towards him. In response I call for Dash to use aqua jet and dark slash straight towards his opponent as she calls for another brick break to counter it as they both crash into each other and end up hurt from the exchange. As she calls for harden as I see she is setting up I oblige her and call for agility maximise his speed at this point as I get him to use poison fang, as she calls for harden again. Seeing that she is going for the long battle, you can see Dash swimming around Crawdaunt using poison fang while taking hits from brick break on occasion. When I finally see my objective as I see her Pokemon Poisoned as we both know unless she can win fast this battle is mine, causing her to keep using aqua jet with brick break her most effective move agaisnt me. While I just keep Dash out of distence of attack with his speed, due to his somewhat weaker attack when compared to his speed and defence as he is getting a little more tired. As I see Lake looking at the battlfield and then see she has decided on something as she calls for Aqua jet into guillotine trying to end the battle as I try to get Dash to dodge but it is to late as he gets hit and as result knocked out, by a very tired and hurt Crawdaunt who then succumbs to exhaustion,

Referee " Crawdaunt and Sharpedo are unable to continue, Lake is down to 4 and Kash is down to 5"

While we both recall our Pokemon as I wonder who she will call next as I call out next as I let out Creek as everyone just looks at me like I am foolish as I grin on the inside, as Lake calls out a surprisingly small Gyarados looking confident.I start Creek out with rock slide while he is on the platform towards the Pokemon hiding in the water as the rocks start into the water. When Gyarados comes out screaming as you can see a few marks on his body, as Lake calls for her Pokemon to use aqua tail as I tell Creek to allow him self to get hit and to grab onto his opponent. As he takes the hit he gets less damage then Lake expected as she see's her Pokemon isnt able to get out of Creeks grasps as I tell him to use thinderbolt while holding onto him as you see Gyarados thrashing from pain. Lake then tries to get her Pokemon to use Ice beam but I tell Creek to jump into the water and he is happy to do so, while seeing my opponent looks confused as I get him to use thunderbolt again but this time amplified due to being in the water. As the surface of the water is covered by waves as I see Creek happily swimming and Gyarados still moving but obviously slower as Lake knows Gyarados wont be able to win she wants to at least even it a little as she tries to attack one last time with hyperbeam as I get Creek to do the same as his move over powers his opponent and ends the battle.

Referee "Gyarados is unable to continue, Lake is down to 3 and Kash still at 5. We are taking a little break to change the field to a grass one" as we wait and I hear lake

Lake " I have never seen a Tyranitar quite like that one" as I smile

Kash "He always likes to swim now at this point his body is impervious to most normal water attacks and a lot of the stronger ones are mitigated when it reaches him" as she just looks at me with a tired expression.
