Chapter 67 - Pallet Town!

Gan found a path in the thicket and used it to make his way to Pallet Town. Getting back on the path, Gan could easily see Pallet Town from his position. This was classical Town people thought of when starting their Pokemon adventure for the first time.

Gan and Growlithe were speed walking towards there. And there it was, he had finally arrived at his destination. Pallet Town seemed like it was placed in a valley, Gan could see farmland for days here.

'This place seems like the countryside of a state or country back in my world.' This was the first thought that came to mind when looking at Pallet Town. Once Gan arrived in the town, he was easily able to spot Professor Oak's lab.

It stood on a hill of sorts, while one would have to climb a great number of stairs to reach the front door. Gan could see a windmill tower that had propellers that never stopped spinning.

He could see the lab from distance, it seemed to be isolated from everyone else. You'd have to take a mini bridge just to get across and arrive before his lab. Most of the Scientists that came to visit were actually from Cinnabar Island.

Cinnabar Island was about two to two and a half hours away if you went by boat. Gan walked through the town before finding a small restaurant to dine in. The people here were just as abundant; people went back and forth and said their greetings to one another as they passed.

Gan was stared at because no one obviously recognized his face. Nevertheless, they still greeted him in a friendly manner.

"Welcome Customer, please have a seat." Gan was greeted by a man in blue jeans and a white shirt that had a Pokeball on it.

"Thanks." Gan nodded and found a seat to sit in. Hunger had suddenly struck him out of nowhere when he hadn't felt it before.

.

"What can I get to drink for you today?" There weren't many people in the restaurant, so the man started taking Gan's order right away.

"Oh, I'll take uh...Oran berry juice with the pulp, for starters. I need to look at the menu to figure out what I want to eat." Oran berry juice was made from Oran berries in this world, obviously. This was like the substitute for Orange juice from his world.

"I gotcha, I'll be right back." The man turned and left in a flash as Gan proceeded to browse through the menu.

"It's the morning still, so I better eat myself some breakfast food for the time being." Gan already scoped out what he wanted from the menu, and just waited for the waiter to return.

Gan had recalled Growlithe, he only had one Pokeball on his waist, which was Growlithe's. He didn't want to stand out, so he stored all of his other Pokeballs away to make it seem like he only had one Pokemon.

Gan was thinking of many things, at least when it came to the plan he had in place. If he wanted to steal from Professor Oak's lab, he would need to do it at night, for sure.

"I need to do a few things before I can do this grand theft." Gan thought about this many times before, he knew exactly what needed to be done.

The waiter eventually came back and placed Gan's drink on the table. Afterward, he asked what he'd be ordering this morning.

"Hmm, I'll take a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich for today." Gan didn't want much, just a simple breakfast. The sausage was made out of Tauros meat from what it said on the menu. Gan was unsure where the eggs came from.

"Alright, will that do it?" The man asked to be sure.

"Yeah, that'll do it." Gan nodded and said.

The man left once again, this life in Pallet seemed simple. There was no way Gan could stay in a Town like this for the rest of his life.

Dingling~

Just as he was contemplating, a customer came into the restaurant. It was a boy around the age of 15 to 16 or so; if Gan had to guess, he was probably one of these ages. The boy had dark orange hair, which made Gan believe it was dyed or something.

The guy wasn't alone, walking beside him was a Pokemon that took the same strides as him as the boy advanced forward.

It was a Machop.

"Hmm..." Gan narrowed his eyes and scanned the little fellow.

|Name: Machop

|Type: Fighting

|Level: 13

|Gender: Male

|Ability: Guts

|Potential: ★★★★★

|Nature: Adamant

|Moves: Karate Chop| Low Kick| Revenge| Low Sweep| [TM]Bulldoze| [E]Fire Punch| [E]Bullet Punch|

....

'What's going on with Pallet Town? Did the teens in Pallet walk around with such highly talented Pokemon normally?' It was a five-star Pokemon—at that, the first Pokemon he was able to scan in the town.

Gan wondered if this place was possibly filled with five-star Pokemon, this caused a grave expression to appear on his face.

The boy was greeted by another waiter and escorted to his seating area. The boy took a seat while the Machop took a seat across from him. Gan sighed before slowly turning away, where he spotted a magazine on his table.

The magazine was with sitting with condiments.

Gan decided to check out the magazine, which had the title on it saying "Pursuit Of Perfection". On the front cover, Gan could see nothing but Elite four figures from this continent on it.

Technically, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh were based off of Japan or Asia in general. So Gan ȧssumed this much. The cover had the Elite four members from Kanto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh on it.

There wasn't anyone like Karen or Will from the Elite four on it. The magazine wasn't that long, it only had around twenty pages in it.

"Tournaments. This is something to be expected in this world, even the games and anime had this." Gan saw that there were many tournaments being hosted around Kanto and Johto from the magazine.

The magazine wrote about the ranks of each trainer—if they wanted to be a ranked trainer. Some were special tournaments that require a trainer to have all eight badges to participate in them—or even 16 badges from both Kanto and Johto!

"These winning prizes are really good, I'll have to participate in one of these tournaments one day." Gan's eyes widened as he turned the pages. He saw Pokemon eggs, items, money, and other things up for prizes for the 1st to 3rd place winners.

There weren't many tiers, but each tier had three grades in them from one to three, with one being the highest in their respective tiers.

...

-Beginner Tier

-Poké Tier

-Great Tier

-Ultra Tier

-Master Tier

...

Gan could see that Beginner Tier trainers wore a Bronze medal, that was placed on their ċhėst. The medal would have a number on it to indicate where they stood in that Tier. Gan recalled seeing these types of people at the Pokemon Daycare Center, standing around back then.

"That Daycare was probably using them as bodyguards, this has to be the only reason they were standing around." They looked more like those cool trainers from the games, but they had different faces.

Gan needed nothing and ate well before getting up to go pay. He made sure to leave the man a tip for his good service. The restaurant wasn't busy now, but when lunch and dinner came around; that would all change.

Gan went to the nearest Pokemon mart and bought a camera from there. Afterward, he searched for an Inn to stay in for a bit. He used his Pokedex to find the closes Inn to Professor Oak's house, which was secluded from the others.

Gan was new to this place, so to not be suspicious, he took photos of businesses and Pidgeys near a park. This would make it seem like he was a photographer who liked to travel the world.

Gan took a number of photos before going to the Inn and settling in.

"Good! I can see Professor Oak's lab just perfectly from here." Gan looked out the window and was able to get a perfect view of his lab, which satisfied him.

Gan summoned Kadabra, for him to get a good look at the place. Kadabra had to memorize this place, so it could use its Teleport ability.

"We're gonna need your teleporting skills to get over and away from that place. I need you to memorize this place when we're about to make it happen." Kadabra should have no problem memorizing anything, it was one of the smartest Pokemon on earth next to Metagross.

"No problem." Kadabra nodded and relayed, this was a simple task for it. The only problem was with how far it could teleport due to its overall level.

"Nice. I know you're limited to how far you can teleport, so how far do you think you can teleport?" Kadabra was his main way out if things went south, so he needed to know this information.

This was really risky, but he knew all of Professor Oak's Pokemon. This was the only reason he could attempt something so crazy.

Kadabra stated that it could teleport up to seven-hundred yards currently, which was close to half a mile.

Gan was stunned, this should be good if he got into a sticky situation.

"That will do, that will do just fine." Gan grinned before taking out some binoculars. He used them to look out of the window towards Professor Oak's residence. His residence wasn't in full view but he could see the stairs and parts of the little stream around it.

Gan was stunned with who he saw, but he kept watching nonetheless.

"So, she's affiliated with Professor Oak? I guess this is to be expected." Gan had indeed spotted that Pink girl.

Pink was currently speaking with some girl with lavender hair and another with blonde hair. The lavender-headed girl had an Eevee on her shoulder, while the blonde-headed girl was carrying a Pikachu.

Gan adjusted his Binoculars and zoomed in on the Eevee and Pikachu. He loved to check the status of Pokemon, so Gan had to do it. He thought.

...

|Name: Eevee

|Type: Normal

|Level: 14

|Gender: Female

|Ability: Adaptability

|Potential: ★★★★★

|Nature: Timid

|Moves: Quick Attack| Sand Attack| Tackle| Helping Hand| Growl| [E]Detect| [E]Wish| [TM]Shadow Ball|

...

|Name: Pikachu

|Type: Electric

|Level: 11

|Gender: Female

|Ability: Lightning Rod (Hidden Ability)

|Potential: ★★★★★

|Nature: Timid

|Moves: Play Nice| Sweet Kiss| Nuzzle| Thunder Shock| Tail Whip| Growl| Quick Attack| Thunder Wave| Double Team| [TM]Nasty Plot| [E]Wish| [E]Electric Terrain|

...

Gan's eyes bulged through the binoculars, was he seeing things correctly?! He ran into three 5 star Pokemon nearly within a 2-hour range!

"What the hell is going on with Pallet Town?!" Was 5 star Pokemon so common?

"Wait, could it be?" He recalled overhearing about a few talented trainers that were in Pallet, with Blue being one of them.

This had to be them!

Gan finally understood who Pink was to some degree, she had to be one of these trainers, right? He wasn't exactly sure, but he speculated that this had to be so.

"That Pikachu's moves and ability are over the top, aren't they? And this blonde-headed girl, she seems to be familiar." Gan couldn't put his finger on it, but he was sure he had seen her from somewhere.

"I'll find out in the future if it's who I think it is. For now, I needed to wait until nighttime to make my move. Kadabra should be able to teleport over there with no trouble, at least close to it." Gan was going to leave the Inn before the sunset to prepare.

He had already chosen the Pokemon he would use for this operation.
