Chapter 17: Aren't You Going To Tell Me

I went to hang up the phone when she started talking again. "Hey, babe, you haven‟t heard from… anyone… recently have you? "Who do you mean?" I asked cautiously "Um, it-it‟s not -that im-important." She stuttered.

I became suspicious. Olivia never, never stuttered, only when she was in trouble or knew she had done the wrong thing. She had been doing it a lot lately. When I had asked her she said that she had been sneaking out at night to visit her boyfriend and she felt guilty. I had believed her, but now…

"Ok, I will see you in a few," I said slowly. "YEAH" and with that overly, a false happy voice she hung up. I place the phone on the desk and stared at it. I knew then that Jacob, no matter how much I hated him now and was telling the truth. Olivia was lying to me, and he wasn't the dad.

Shit. The who the hell is it? "Amelia?" came John‟s questioning voice. I turned to see him leaning on the door frame watching me intently. I just stared back at him. I noticed that he had blue eyes. I never realized that before. The same eyes as Olivia. "You ok?" he asked walking towards me.

No, I thought in my head, I want ok, not at all. My best friend had been lying to me for over a year and my babies‟ daddy wasn't their daddy.

It made me feel cheap and like a f**king whore. "No, you‟re not!" John said furiously. I looked at him confused… "You are not a whore and you are defiantly not cheap, you hear me?!"

I blushed when I realized that I had spoken out loud. I looked at him. "Aren‟t you going to tell me then that my best friend isn't lying to me?"

I asked not all that stable. I felt like I was going to cry. He walked towards me and sat me in the chair and crouched in front of me. He reached for my face and I flinched back. He looked at me with hurt and sadness in his eyes and I felt guilty immediately.

I realized that he had been trying to wipe my tears away when I felt something warm and wet hit my cheek and lips. I broke out in sobs. John‟s arms went around my shoulders immediately, while at the same time mine went around his waist.
