Chapter 363: Out

An entire month flashed by and one could see a black-haired young man sitting in the center of a white room that was permeated by a thick milky hue.

On the ground, one could see multiple, huge, and overlapping magic circles consisting of thousands of runes that glimmered brightly.

Shane had cultivated for the last 30 days without sleeping longer than a total of 12 hours.

Nevertheless, he was full of vigor, and couldn't help but smile brightly as his body and mind were teleported outside the cultivation room he had been in.

Owing to the high mana density, his plan of enlarging the Hidden Paradise had worked perfectly. The entire world had increased to 5.6 kilometers in diameters in comparison to its initial size of 1.6 kilometers.

This was already great, but Shane could have enlarged it further.

However, instead, he had ordered his soul bound world to store as much mana as possible.

Because of the upcoming Primordial tournament, this was definitely necessary.

Shane had already filled the form to participate in it, and to leave it when it was merely days away would be foolish!

The rules of the tournaments had always been pretty simple, with every round being considered as [K.O rounds], meaning that every loss meant the participant's disqualification.

Yet, instead of focusing on this right now, there were still around 30 days left before the tournament would even start.

He could increase his combat prowess by a large margin during that time!

Nevertheless, the cultivation room had brought him the biggest opportunity that allowed Shane to be more confident about his chances of victory in the Primordial tournament.

As a matter of fact, he would have loved if the tournament were to be held a few months later to increase his mana purity to the highest possible degree his mana purification manual could award him.

This was not possible, and he had to accept that a mana purity of [84.65%] was more than he could have wished for.

Increasing one's mana purity was directly proportional to one's perfect foundation; the higher the purity the more difficult it would be to complete a perfect foundation that required a mana purity of 100%. The latter percentages to achieve this would only pick out the small amount of impurities that had to be expelled.

In the end, Shane's high mana mastery and the cultivation room that was better than he had expected, made it possible to increase his mana purity by around 7% in only 30 days.

Without the cultivation room, he would have faced problems with an increment of 2% in 30 days. As such, Shane could only be sad for a moment about leaving the cultivation room before he regained his composure.

There were still 30 days left, in which he could improve his strength.

Right now, everything was already prepared and Shane's only task was to improve his mana purity slightly while adjusting his body to the change a higher mana purity gave him.

Other than that, honing his skills was important too, while his teamwork with both Umbra and Cosmo would play a crucial role.

They were his secret weapons for the tournament.

Their strength might not be at par with someone owing a mana purity of 97% or more, but they were his best shots at winning if he were to exclude his own strength.

Umbra's scales had great defensive capabilities while his affinity could be utilized with a high versatility.

Furthermore, his means to attack were not to be underestimated either!

There was no need for Shane to be worried about Cosmo either. His supporting role was extremely important and Cosmo had proved to be a reliable ally in several battles they had fought since he had become Shane's tamed beast.

Shane had many advantages he could utilize properly. Unfortunately, most of them could be ignored due to the occupations his opponents should have.

The high-quality occupations would simply balance out everything. This was neither great nor truly disadvantageous because he would remain at par with everyone else.

In the end, Shane was unable to foretell the future and he could only give his best.

This was highlighted even more after he had learned new things upon entering the fluare tower dungeon.

It was simply disastrous and Shane decided that it was better to leave the dungeon if the 6th floor would take too long to finish the task with a high completion rate.

Unfortunately, this was exactly what happened which caused Shane to bid farewell to Princess Ilya.

She would continue to climb the tower with all her might until her sole strength and wisdom wouldn't be enough anymore.

Without Shane, Ilya was not confident in climbing to the 10th Floor or even higher, but that was fine.

He had his own path to walk on, and complaining about him leaving her was nothing but selfish!

Ilya may be a Princess, but her attitude was anything but that of a spoiled princess. Shane was not even someone from her own race whom she could order around however she wanted to.

There was not much Shane required to do in order to leave the fluare tower dungeon. He used the return ticket every dungeon challenger would receive the moment they entered the dungeon.

As such, Shane was outside the dungeon before he realized it.

The surroundings were exactly the same as before, except for the fact that many more people were queuing up in the dungeon, with even more former participants selling information.

Shane found this a little bit ridiculous, but instead of wasting his precious time with others, he exerted the [Light steps] movement technique before he rushed towards the direction of the human shelter.

After ensuring that nobody could see him anymore, Shane summoned Umbra before he started to cultivate on his back while returning to the shelter.

Some might think that his behavior was over the top, but Shane had to utilise every single second efficiently, otherwise, he wouldn't be able to attain the combat prowess he was looking for.

Right now, he was pretty confident in defeating Oran alone and without utilizing any petty tricks.

Unfortunately, this strength was still not enough to fight against stronger opponents, but that could be solved otherwise.

If his own strength was not enough, using the stored mana inside the hidden paradise in addition to the Invincible Scimitar's [Infinite enhancement] ability would allow him to gain the upper hand.

In the end, Shane noticed that he was thinking too much about all kinds of possibilities that might never happen.

As such, he decided to let go of his worries and messaged Aisha, and Miriam!

He was not sure whether they had already liquefied their mana or not, but it was possible.

As such, his strength had to be much lower in comparison to theirs.

It had already been 100 days since he heard something about the party they were to hold before liquefying their mana.

But he had yet to receive an invitation, which made him believe that they had yet to achieve the feat.

"Well, maybe they just forgot about me? It's not like we were the best of friends either."

If the two young women were to know what Shane had just mumbled to himself, they would have beaten him into a pulp.

Fortunately, this was not the case, and he was astonished to hear that both had been able to improve their strength even more than before.

'Maybe I can defeat Miriam now, and make her promise come true? It would be great to have someone with a mana purity of [97%] as the guild leader of the Starlight guild. This would drastically improve the guild's reputation! If her strength has improved, maybe her mana purity has been the reason for that?'
