Several days had passed and there were only a total of 1000 participants left.
Shane was panting heavily, trying to calm down.
His body was trembling and every inch of it was aching.
During the last few days he had fought a few times, but every single time he had to use every single means to enhance his strength further.
That was despite the power-up he had received while fighting against the Tamer!
Due to the high mana purity and density within the dimension the Primordial tournament was held, Shane's mana purity had reached [87.5%].
This was great and enhanced his strength further, but his mana veins were currently burning as if he had circulated magma through them!
Since he had upgraded the Innate taming skill, unlocked the ability [Unbreakable loyalty], enhanced his strength by 2.5% from every tamed beast that had a loyalty of [100%], Shane's body was sore and advancing continuously.
Due to the pressure to fight the four Overlords controlled by the Tamer, the ability had immediately transferred the entire amplification worth 2.5% towards his body, strengthening him.
Under normal circumstances this wouldn't be the case and happen slowly, allowing the body to adjust accordingly to the increase in strength.
Unfortunately, Shane had been bombarded with everything at once, not giving his body enough time to adjust itself.
Even after several days had passed, Shane had been unable to fully digest the increment in strength. The battles he fought afterward were extremely helpful, but at the same time pressurising, and painful.
The amount of mana he had to circulate through his body to balance out the multitude of miscalculations he had done due to underestimating his own strength had burdened him.
His mind was trying to use the exact amount of power required to appear somewhere, only to use too much in the beginning.
Imprinting this in his mind, Shane had used too little strength in the next fight, causing many mistakes and dangerous situations to occur.
To put it simply, Shane felt like a mess and his body was hurting more than before as the enormous amount of mana was still something his mana veins couldn't handle at once.
The break was soon over, thus, he gulped down a few highly purified potions that helped him alleviate the pain and calm the burning mana veins within him.
'At most 10 rounds...if I don't strain my veins too much and end it quickly, I can use the two days of break to soothe my pain...I hope Kylia and the rest come back soon, maybe her healing skills can help me…'
Shane was not the only one who was working hard, but everyone else was too!
Unfortunately, his warning about the System and Primordial dimensions that might cease to exist was not the reason.
Something else was the cause, and it was by no means better than his warning!
One could even say that it was worse than that because it involved mankind's annihilation!
He had been fully focused on the Primordial tournament.
Because of that, it had been impossible for him to pay attention to PrimWeb's news about the Dark Ice Elves and the entire Elven war that had reached the worst state since it had begun decades ago.
Every race involved with Elves was afraid that it would be annihilated at any moment, and the same applied to the human race.
However, the worst was that many humans seemed to be lured in thinking that the Dark Ice elves, who had manipulated them for years, were sincere in their approach to turn them into Half-Elvens, using some ritual.
It looked like that was the dream of those hypocritical humans who backstabbed their own race, only to blindly believe the words of a foreign race that told them something that might not even be possible.
Obviously, Shane was not sure if it was possible to change someone's bloodline, but even if it was, had those humans ever thought about the consequences of their actions.
Many had already tried to share Igra's coordinates with other races in an attempt to win their trust. It was only because of certain devices and other means the government had employed that Igra's exact coordinates were distorted and impossible to be figured out, even by humans.
Despite that, it was still possible to figure out several clues of Igra's exact whereabouts.
Shane assumed that this was also the reason why a spaceship had been revolving in the nearby stellar systems; some humans must have revealed their rough coordinates to another race!
He didn't have any evidence to prove his theory, but this was not needed because it didn't matter.
In the end, Shane and even the government were currently unbothered by the spaceship in the adjacent stellar system because the threat posed by the Dark Ice elves was a lot higher.
They had been a nuisance to the human race for a long time, and it was not difficult to figure out that they had begun to scale up their approaches to slowly destroy mankind.
Nobody knew their motive behind annihilating the races that were in a pact with the Elven races they were fighting.
However, the Dark Ice Elves and even the Advanced race that backed them seemed to be vigilant about something that made them believe certain Basic races were dangerous!
Maybe it was about their future plans or the fact that basic races were an unknown factor because they could become dangerous as the mana purity they possessed could be enhanced.
It could also be something completely different, something about the locations inside the universe they inhabited, or possibly even the shelters they had conquered.
But in that case, there had to be something special about the shelters most races around the Forest elves had conquered.
Was there even something like that? Shane was not sure, and he could only think of the radiant mountain ring dimension that many races had begun to conquer.
If this was the reason for the Dark Ice Elves to annihilate the other basic races, they would have to work hard and destroy hundreds, if not thousands of civilizations.
Because of all the dangers lurking around, the government was focusing on increasing Igra's means to be defended against planet-destroying weapons.
At the same time, they were resolute in destroying all organizations that were supported by foreign races. Now was not the time to act soft because mankind's existence was on the line!
It was not easy to find some organizations as they were hidden well, but by employing the entire military, combing through Igra to weed them out was not considered to be problematic.
Apparently, all evil organizations had been found and destroyed during the last two months, but Shane doubted that, and it was probably more of a public announcement to calm down the entire population.
The Dark Ice elves' behavior was annoying and Shane would have loved to beat them black and blue, but that was unlikely to happen in the near future.
Rather, he felt as if dark times were about to descend on the human race.
They would have to overcome many dangerous trials and there was not much Shane could do to help.
Only increasing his strength, and building up a perfect foundation was what would really help him, and for the last [Mythic] mission, Shane knew that he would need every single increment of strength he could obtain.
That was because not a single being inside the Primordial dimensions had been strong enough to finish all missions to construct a perfect foundation.
As such, Shane could only perceive the Primordial tournament as his opportunity to become stronger, to decrease the last [Mythic] mission's difficulty, even if it was only by a small degree.
Now was his time to change everything!
