Chapter 259: Mana awakening

This number was not 'real' because the price of the raw materials and so on had to be deducted.

In the end, around 15,000 to 20,000 gold coins had been earned by the Astral Artisan's members which were around 4,000 gold coins per month.

After dividing this number by 28, the resultant number indicated that each member had barely earned 142 gold coins!

Most Artisans didn't complain about this number, but it was neither extremely high nor enticing for others to join the Astral Artisans.

As such, Talia shared how much they earned per month!

Their growth was enormous and everyone who was aware of their surroundings could tell that more than 60% of their profits had been used in order to invest into the Hidden Paradise, the Astral Artisan group, and so on.

The number of houses and workshops that had been built in addition to the grade and quality of tools one used was extremely expensive, and nobody complained about anything.

Instead, most students from the different academies that decided to join the Astral Artisan hall were extremely satisfied with everything around them.

They were treated fairly and nobody bullied them.

At the same time, everyone within the Hidden Paradise encouraged each other and it was not difficult to sense how most members of the Astral Artisan hall became more confident and ambitious.

The contract they signed with the Astral Artisan hall might look harsh on the outside because one would lose everything that had been supplied by the Astral Artisan hall, once one decided to leave their group.

This included the knowledge about all blueprints they had been nurtured with and all tools they had used!

One might think that something like this was crazy, but the degree to which Shane wanted to nurture his Artisans was extraordinary.

He wanted every single individual in his group to become a great, independent Artisan who was able to work alone, if necessary.

It was obvious that this was not feasible for plant researchers and florists in Shane's Nightshade flower field, because they had to work together with the farmers and vice versa.

The number of Nightshade flower roots had increased, while Louis and Elyon cultivated all [Trash] quality roots to [Common] ones.

This was extremely beneficial and once Shane allowed them to utilize the unscathed Nightshade flower roots that had a high quality to their fullest potential, their wealth would skyrocket within a few months!

Nevertheless, Shane and Talia were both of the opinion that it was better to wait a little bit longer until they would grow a larger number of low-quality nightshade flower roots as the cultivation process of Nightshade flower roots was relatively expensive.

Thus Louis and Elyon had been requested to continue experimenting with Nightshade flower roots in order to figure out how they could lower the price to cultivate them!

During the last four months, Shane had been unable to spend much time with Umbra and Cosmo and he didn't even get a chance to enhance their quality even though he had accumulated enough funds.

Nevertheless, Cosmo's loyalty had increased to 51%, while both he and Umbra were playing around a lot.

At least, that was what Cosmo perceived! To Umbra, it felt more like Cosmo tried to provoke him, which worked perfectly fine!

When Shane saw Umbra pursuing Cosmo, who was proficient in manifesting spatial portals quickly, he couldn't help but feel that this could be seen as some sort of training too!

Umbra could learn to fight or pursue someone with a spatial affinity, while Cosmo, who was several ranks below Umbra, received enough pressure to become even more proficient in using his flexibility and affinity to escape!

Meanwhile, when Shane saw this, he couldn't help but feel that his own status panel was missing something very important!

_______________

His finances were extremely low because Shane focused on investing heavily into the Astral Artisans that were worth every bronze coin to him.

However, that was not the section that frustrated him.

It was more the fact that he had yet to receive an occupation!!

This was not bad or a fact worth mentioning, considering that he was already stronger than most other students at his rank due to the multiple advantages he had received. But, it annoyed Shane as it was something he could change, yet somehow not!

He wanted to choose a high-quality occupation and the unknown occupation, whose name Shane didn't even know yet, was something that would suit him the best.

At least, that was what he thought and the only fact he couldn't accept was that this occupation focused way too much on his Innate taming Skill.

This could be seen in the requirements he had to solve, and the only ray of hope he had left was the fact that one of the three requirements had something to do with the Hidden Paradise.

**

After four months, Shane was about to leave Masua in order to enter Igra once again. He would have loved to stay on Masua for some time in order to build his flawed Expert stage physique too.

However, unfortunately, that was not something he could do right now, because he had to return to Igra soon.

There were a few things he had to do before, but there was something grand that would happen soon!

Almost each of his aunts and uncles had sent him several direct messages a month ago, praising him for doing such a great task by luring the Elus-race in as their new trading partner!

There were several materials the Elus-race required which the government had a huge stockpile of.

This allowed them to sell everything at once in return for other materials they received.

They could have demanded being paid in platinum and diamond coins, but that was not what Aunt Kia had planned!

Since she had found out what materials the Elus race had and how exactly their price list turned out, Kia had started to think about the gains she could obtain by trading materials with the Elus race instead of using a currency.

At the same time, the materials sent by the Elus race could be sold for an even higher price to another race they were trading with!

Through this, mankind's wealth increased by a large margin and it was finally enough to awaken Igra's mana heart!

When Shane heard that the Igra's mana awakening would happen soon, he was unsure of what to think about that.

On one hand, it was definitely a huge advantage, however, on the other hand, he had yet to finish the preparations to employ a large number of people with non-combatant oriented occupations.

He and Talia had already begun stockpiling tools, materials, blueprints, and even useful skills for new Artisans to make use of, however, that didn't mean they were ready to initiate their plan!

As such, after Shane told Talia that Igra would awaken its mana heart soon, she couldn't help but frown before she rushed towards her office.

She already had three assistants with management occupations but that was barely enough to take care of the fundamental steps to establish a proper system with which everything involving the Astral Artisan hall and the Hidden Paradise worked out!

Shane had received several invites from his uncles and aunts, asking him to attend the event the government would hold on the day Igra's mana heart would awaken.

Even his father had sent him a message, telling him that he did a good job, only to hand out an invitation too.

'He still hasn't said anything about my fiance? Does that mean I don't have to marry anyone forced upon me, or is the silence a quiet warning?'

Shane was unable to decipher his father and this was extremely frustrating!

While his father's behavior annoyed him it was even worse to hear that the plan he and Talia had made with lots of strategies, turned into scrap because of himself at that!!
