Chapter 72 - 71: Alchemy Guild

'Hmm if that's the case how can I join this alchemy Guild.' asked Yan'er

[That's simple you just have to join this guild from any subsidiary. This guild in front of you is part of the Alchemy Tower. The only thing you have to do is ask to join and they'll immediately test your qualifications. Then they'll give you an appropriate badge.]

After deciding what to do she went into the guild. Entering the guild she went straight for the main counter. Once there a young girl about 14 years old asked, "Miss can I help you with anything."

"Yes I was wondering if i could take the test to join the guild." said Yan'er

"Certainly let me just get and elder to conduct the test." said the girl as she walked through the door behind her

After a while of waiting the door opened once again to see and old man with the little girl. After exiting the old man came up to Yan'er and said, "Are you the one who wishes to take the exam."

"Indeed I came with the purpose of joining the guild." said Yan'er

"Alright then follow me to the test room." said the old man

On the way to the test room the old man explained the rules and regulations of the test.

"The test consists of three sections Age, Cultivation and Pill Concoction. The age Part is to see what talent you have when we see your cultivation. Of course the concoction part is self explanatory you'll concoct a pill of your choosing. This will give us an idea of your capabilities. Of course if you don't have any materials we will be able to acquire them for you. If by chance you pass the test the borrowed items will be waived." said the old man

"May we use our own cauldrons for the concoction process." said Yan'er

"That is allowed in fact we encourage the use of personal cauldrons as it means at least in most cases the alchemist is good." said the old Man

After walking for a couple minutes they reached a door. After entering the room they were in had seating stands with a room in the middle the middle room was a glass dome.

"That room right there is where you will be concocting. Of course you won't be the only one to take this test there will be other participants. And you see those other elders they will be your judges along with me." said the old Man as she pointed at the other elders

"I want you to be seated here until all participants arrive once they arrive we will start the test. Each elder brings their own representative and since you came to my door you'll be my representative. This old man's name is Meng, Xia Meng. You can just call me old man Xia." said Xia Meng while looking at Yan'er with an expectant expression

"Yan, Yu Yan is my name people call me Yan'er. I'll represent you old Xia. Since you have so much trust in me then I surely won't disappoint you." said Yan'er

"Then I thank you in advance Little Yan. This isn't necessarily a competition as all those who pass will be allowed into the guild but it's more of a contest of wits between old men. I didn't really care for this petty competition but since you showed up I had to drag you into this. Forgive me for this if you had wanted to wait till later you'd have to wait a couple of weeks so I believe it still aligns with your goal." said Xia Meng

"Indeed competition or not I was planning on joining. A couple of weeks earlier makes things easier." said Yan'er

"Then I'm glad." said Xia Meng
