Jyorta focused on the first water tank, gazing at the unconscious Tier 3 River Whale within as he enveloped it in his Aura Personification of Hallucination. He then extended the hallucination towards the Shoe Fishes, causing them to instinctively move towards the Tier 3 River Whale.
In their senses, the River Whale's body was a cluster of feet that they could attach themselves onto. Unlike the Tier 3 River Whales, the Shoe Fishes were only at Tier 1. They weren't a threat to anyone and hence were still conscious.
And, those who dealt with the Shoe Fishes either had Tier 1 Skills like Life Aura Sense or Relics containing similar Skills that allowed them to sense the Shoe Fishes. So, there were no risks of the Shoe Fishes escaping while being transported.
Now that his hallucination affected them, the Shoe Fishes began to swim towards the Tier 3 River Whale, slow in their approach. Slowly, they attached themselves onto its body, thinking that they had attached themselves onto a foot. But, as their bodies passed through the hallucination and attached to the River Whale's skin, they realised that they had been played.
But, it was no use anymore. Once attached, a Shoe Fish couldn't extricate itself until either it dies or its host dies. Within ten minutes, the Tier 3 River Whale's body was completely covered by the Shoe Fishes, leaving no empty area behind.
Jyorta then created a hallucination as if there was a cluster of feet in the original tank of the Shoe Fishes, causing them to swim towards the location. Once they had all headed there, Jyorta closed the outlet connecting their tank to the other water tanks.
"Phew," He wiped his sweat, taking a bit of rest while his psychic energy reserves continued to increase. He consumed some more Healing Salve, meditating for an hour before he got up, climbing over the water tank as he seated himself on the edge.
As there was no threat, he would be safe. Taking in a deep breath, Jyorta activated his Soul Domain, immediately being hit by numerous murky waves that strived to penetrate his blue soul. He stared at the enormous barrier of sorts before him, one that wrapped around the River Whale's soul.
'That's the natural soul barrier everyone at Tier 3 and above possesses.' Jyorta thought, unleashing his two Soul Corneas as he coiled one over the other, turning both pitch black as they gently touched the soul barrier.
Corrosion!
The two Soul Corneas began to corrode through the soul barrier while Jyorta flinched at the energy expenditure. But, he didn't relent, increasing the output of his corrosion, beginning to slowly penetrate through the barrier.
The opponent's soul was unable to retaliate, but its murkiness wafted over to the Soul Corneas, intending to corrupt them. Once corrupted, Jyorta would be unable to move them as he did normally. They would be stuck at the place, unable to be retracted, creating a gateway for the River Whale's soul to send in murkiness into his soul.
Eventually, it would corrupt him, destroying his ego, taking over his soul. This was the inherent risk involved in attacking the souls of others. It was also why it had taken him 15 years to gain control over the previous Jyorta's soul.
But now, coupled with the psychic energy in his Brain Crystal, and the soul energy in his blue soul, Jyorta had enough energy to go on the offensive and actively attack his opponent. Any murkiness sent over by the River Whale's soul was corroded by the Soul Corneas.
Five minutes later, they managed to penetrate the soul barrier, immediately causing his expenditure to spike once again. It was because the soul barrier was trying to clamp on the Soul Corneas. Thankfully as the second Soul Cornea had coiled around the first, it resisted the soul barrier by corroding the contact areas.
As for the first Soul Cornea, it penetrated deeper into the River Whale's soul, unleashing its influence, beginning to vaporise the murkiness. Jyorta didn't try to vaporise all the murkiness in one sitting. For, that was impossible with his current energy reserves.
But, he was planning on a battle of attrition. At present, the energy he consumed was the same as the energy influx by digesting the Healing Salve. So, as long as he maintained the same, he would eventually win the exchange. After all, his first Soul Cornea was steadily vaporising all the murkiness.
Three hours passed in such a fashion when Jyorta smiled, having vaporised all the murkiness in the River Whale's soul. Moreover, he was now able to see two soul cores, one belonging to the River Whale while the other belonged to its Frenzy Parasite.
Except for their cores, their presence had turned one and the same, a condition required to be attained before the soul barrier begins to form. Jyorta then took around ten minutes to vaporise the murkiness in the souls of all the Shoe Fishes and their respective Frenzy Parasites.
Soon, he began to knead their souls, creating soul tendrils to connect with one another, creating a circuit. But, when he created the circuit and connected all the souls to the River Whale's soul, Jyorta flinched in pain when his psychic energy expenditure increased by five times.
It was because the soul barrier was increasing in strength as all the Shoe Fish souls and their respective Frenzy Parasite souls were synchronising in presence to the River Whale's, beginning to create a collective soul barrier.
'At this rate, I'll not be able to touch the River Whale's soul.' Jyorta began to worry, deciding to go all-in as his Soul Cornea wrapped around the River Whale's soul, instilling his Will into it in large amounts.
If he needed to generate more Will, the blue soul sent his memory fragments into his brain, causing it to experience them once again, generating more Will as a result. He then dumped all the Will into the River Whale, overwhelming its Will slowly.
He also used his aura personification to affect its mind, making it think that it was Jyorta Bone, a human. This psychological input reduced its defence against his Will, causing it to fight on losing ground. An hour later, Jyorta turned it into his subsoul, now able to actively cause a tiny hole to appear on the soul barrier when he needed.
The moment he achieved this, the Soul Cornea began to absorb soul energy from the River Whale in large amounts.. Jyorta then gazed at the nine other Tier 3 River Whales, smiling.
