Seeing that she had said too much, Nature just disappeared. This left Teren and Trisha in silence. The former in ponder while the latter in awe.
Her torturer has some deep connection to the woman who gave her the ability she has had since birth. Just because the woman seemed so profound that it led her to believe everything that the woman says. But even if all of that was true, Trisha wasn't thankful.
The only thing that she got from this ability was suffering.
'But learning that this power was just given to me by someone really shakes my ego.'
Trisha felt really uncomfortable by it, but at the same time, she was glad that she learned this after meeting Teren. If she learned this before, the illusion that she's strong and special would come crumbling down, making her rely on nothing from then on.
Although Trisha is still egoistic and proud, no, she no longer needs to rely on that facade too much. While thinking about this, she glanced at Teren and asked.
"So who was that?"
"Hm?"
Teren looked at her with a questioning look as if asking her to repeat her question.
"Who was that?"
So she asked again for which Teren answered-
"Ah, how do I explain this. You could think of her as a deity."
"... literally or metaphorically? Because I can say that she's that beautiful even though I'm a fellow woman but I can't believe that you would call her that just base on her appearance."
"I didn't mean that. Literally, she's a deity. I'm a bit skeptical before but now, I can confirm that her power is close to that. If we choose to believe her words, she said that she's the world itself. I don't really get it but you can let your imagination run with that."
"..."
Trisha was struck speechless. Like what Teren said, if she were to believe that, did she just casually talk back to someone like a God?
"Hell yeah! My ego's back!"
She suddenly pumped her fist, slightly taking Teren aback. From her reaction, he can figure out her thoughts.
"That's right, you don't really need to compare yourself to someone like her."
Up until that point, Trisha was still unaware that the woman from earlier was the same as the tree they call Ancient who had helped her get through her troubles. If she was aware, she would've already given respect.
But unfortunately, neither Nature nor Teren said anything about it.
"So what are you going to do now?"
Trisha asked. Although she didn't follow everything, she's aware that Teren's in a pinch. Since that being, fairy-looking woman, let them be, they were free to continue what they plan to do. As for Trisha, she didn't have anything planned, she will just go with whatever Teren chooses to go.
But at the same time, with this new knowledge, Teren was rethinking his moves. From the start, he was walking down on a thin thread. He was always being careful and flexible, sometimes, even failing.
Just like what Nature said, he and Iesa have some unsaid agreement. Nature was amazed by the fact that they were able to work together in that circumstance.
It all started when Teren released Iesa's memories on their last night. However, even before that, Iesa was already aware of Dehian, sometimes, the latter revealing herself. This led Iesa to go to Lina since their goals - let Lina seduce Teren - aligned.
However, that just gave Teren the opportunity to make a deal with Lina. As a double-crosser as she is, Lina chose to agree with Teren while still being in touch with Dehian.
There was a lot going on so Teren needed some time to think.
"It seemed that your situation is quite complicated."
Trisha muttered as she laid back onto the couch while Teren was staring at the empty air on the dining table.
Teren could only nod as a response. He was not troubled, instead, he was integrating his newfound knowledge into his previous ongoing plans and making some adjustments with it.
But in the end, Teren could only look at Trisha, thinking that she was the only variable he could make adjustments with. No, actually, his initial decision of letting her 'graduate' was right. He no longer needs to do anything.
Fortunately, he got what he wanted - which is to learn Trisha's power. Not only that, but he also learned that Nature was the key center of everything.
That doesn't change anything, only putting him at ease. At the present, he still has his enemies while Nature was 'battling' the thing that's inside him. Although Nature presents herself as Teren's ally, he doesn't want to rely on her. He only knows that one of her goals had something to do with the 'otherworldly' thing inside of him. That doesn't necessarily mean that she's usable in his plan or her grand plan aligns with him.
"So everything continues..."
"You finished thinking?"
"A part of it."
Teren nodded.
"I don't know if I want to know the context or not, I don't really want to think much."
Trisha shrugged her shoulders, implying that she didn't want any more work.
"It's fine, even if you know, I wouldn't rely on you for opinions. I can only trust myself with this one."
"I want that but I feel insulted." Trisha harrumphed.
"Your job is something else."
Teren said, sure of himself that Trisha will listen to him.
"Okay, let me hear it. I've been waiting for this."
"You've got to take on the Five Lords. I'll take care of the rest." Teren said but Trisha was disappointed.
"You know, I have schoolmates who call themselves the Four Heavenly Kings. I can't really get excited over the Five Lords."
"Hm, to give you an idea, the Titan Lord, head of the Titanes House can make himself something like a large meteor landing on Earth... and that's just his entrance."
Teren gave an example.
"... is that a metaphor or..."
"Literally, he can destroy mountains with his bare hands."
Teren continued.
"..."
"Are you scared?"
"A-are you kidding me? Scared?"
Trisha asked with a shocked face.
"I'm actually wondering how it would feel like to pummel that Titan Lord's face. It should be pretty satisfying to defeat that kind of person..."
She imagined.
"Yeah, that will surely feed your ego."
Teren commented which he received a glare before changing her expression to a smile.
"I want to deny it but yes, it will. Hehe...."
