Chapter 57 - Head-Scratching Person

Name:Psycho X Psychic Author:
Iesa Hun, a seventeen years old student at Mershen High. She is considered a real-life school idol that everyone admires. Just a word of her and everyone will work on it. But that's not her only power.

She can also read people's thoughts, yes, Iesa Hun is a bonafide psychic!

At the moment, she just entered the room, silencing her noisy classmates. Her delicate body and elegant movements captured their eyes. They stared in a moment of appreciation.

This should be the peak for any student but for Iesa Hun, it was just annoying.

Why?

Because she's very well aware of the plasticity of these people. Some truly admire her and others were innocent, but the rest?

'She's hogging all the attention again. That's a textbook definition of an attention-whore!'

'Iesa is so pretty. I've already climaxed for a whole week just thinking about her.'

'I hope she dies.'

'Does she have a boyfriend? I'll kill him!'

Different toxic thoughts were scattered in the whole room but Iesa paid no heed even though she can hear these thoughts. This is because she had been hearing this ever since she could remember.

'Just don't find whose these thoughts are coming from.. they're the same, after all.' she thought.

Iesa doesn't give a damn to every single one of them as she was already used to it. That's why she is seen as the untouchable queen of Mershen High!

And that is not true. It is true that she does not care about any of them but there is one exception.

No, not Lina, the class president who has a potty mind. Not Nick, the bully who suddenly turned over a new leaf for some unknown reasons. Nope, not Mike, who was the most popular guy among the first-year students. And no, especially not Catherine, Mike's close friend and the one who had the most toxic thoughts against her.

It was her seatmate, who doesn't stand out at all, Teren Hark.

Iesa Hun was cold and apathetic at first, then, with a glance, she became meek and bashful. Fidgeting under the table, she tried to steal some glances at the possibly most unpopular guy in the Mershen High.

'He's here after me.' she thought as if there's only she and her seatmate in the whole world.

She clenched her eyes close.

'Why am I always thinking about him!?'

Iesa didn't know when it began but this simple-looking guy seemed to be the most dashing in her innocent eyes.

There is one problem though.

She cannot hear his thoughts which greatly confused her.

'It never happened before but I suppose I don't need to hear his thoughts...' afraid to be disappointed to know what he thinks of her, she just shook her head and redirected her thoughts.

Teacher Hanon came in He is a fun yet mysterious teacher that everyone likes. But there are times he would look at Teren and be confused.

Iesa knew why because of her psychic abilities. However, even though she knew why, she doesn't understand it.

Teacher Hanon looked at Teren Hark again, froze, and scratched his head before beginning his class.

That was the only thing her classmates saw but Iesa heard his thoughts too.

'I have no idea but that student there really frightens me! Is it always been like this? I don't even remember his name though. But I should get it together, the monthly exam is already tomorrow. Although I don't know why I was stationed here as a teacher by my boss, I have to do a great job.'

This makes Iesa scratch her head too.

Frightens him? Stationed here as a teacher? Boss?

There are many things that she doesn't understand but somehow, she can relate them to gangs. She knows two gangs, the Handwing and the Spectral Gangs. But what really bothers her was the fact that she has no idea how she knew these things.

'So what? As long as I know their thoughts, I can easily evade them.' Iesa confidently thought before stealing a glance at her seatmate as if it was the most natural thing to do.

But at that moment, Teren Hark was looking at her too. Iesa immediately rolled her eyes back as if she did not look at him.

It was a short moment but she knew that Teren's gaze was strange.

'It's like he's sad and wants something? But why is he looking at me?' her lips then formed an "o"

'What if he likes me and my reputation is making him not talk to me!?'

If only she was the only one in that room, she must've squirmed with a wiggly smile. Soon, she could only shake her head.

'What am I thinking? After that creepy old man got arrested, I became too happy. I should be thanking the patrolling policeman that night. The one who caught that creep before he could've done something disgusting to me... but I can't really put my gratitude to it... Hayss, I'm so ungrateful.'

She then took a glance once more as if she did not learn her lesson. This time, Teren Hark dropped his head on his desk and napped without a care to the world.

Seeing him take a nap… again. Iesa smiled as she finally had the freedom to stare at him. But soon, reality hits back.

'That wimp is sleeping again.'

'Why is he getting special treatment? Why is Sir Hanon not calling him out?'

'What's his name again? Forget it, I just know that I hate his guts!'

'I hate him, I don't know why.'

These thoughts mainly came from boys. There are some thoughts of girls too but whoever these thoughts came from, Iesa hated them back.

After two periods of classes, the morning break began. In this time, Iesa was always stuck with a dilemma.

At the same time, Teren Hark walked out of the room. A group of boys is always standing there, waiting for him.

"Hey, loser, you will speak with us today?"

'I should stand up to him! He didn't do anything! But what if he'll not like me meddling? We're not even close, hell, we don't even speak to each other.'

But while Iesa was hesitating, she heard a voice.

"Hey, stop harassing him!"

Iesa looked and saw that it was the class president.

"Y-yeah, I don't think he had done anything for you guys to disturb him."

Nick, the once-bully timidly stood behind the class president. After that, Mike and Catherine walked over as if nervous.

"They're right." Mike coolly answered, intimidating the group of boys that wasn't even a part of their class.

But it was Catherine who shooed them away.

"Bastards! Want to taste one of my kicks!? Huh!?"
