Chapter 70 - Hate To Stalkers

Name:Psycho X Psychic Author:
Realizing that they caught almost everyone's attention by their almost joint reaction, Lina snapped with a whisper.

"Why is a prosti- why are you here!?"

'She's about to say prostitute there, didn't she?'

Knowing Lina's internal dialogues, Iesa immediately guessed what Lina corrected. However, she stayed composed and defended herself as she sat down.

"I... is there something wrong with me eating here in the canteen?"

'This 50-cent prostitute is obviously lying! Eating here in the canteen my ass. You're totally eavesdropping, 50% off sale bitch!'

No matter how many times Iesa heard it, Lina's insults are so... something that she couldn't really be offended but instead, impressed.

"I see... I was just shocked."

On the outside though, Lina laughed and apologized.

"It's nothing..."

After Iesa nod at Lina, her eyes met with Teren. The two paused, making that eye contact last for about a second before averting them at the same time with bashful expressions.

Lina, the third party, watched this with a darkened expression.

'Bitchh---........'

'Why does that one word feel heavier than her other unique insults?'

Iesa turned her attention to what she just bought as if saying that she was 'minding her own business' again.

Lina narrowed her eyes as she took a glance at Iesa.

'So that is what you're playing at huh... fine, I'll teach you foreplay, cherry girl. Listen to this well so that you can later finger yourself off while remembering this.'

Iesa blinked a few times as she froze.

'I have no idea what she was trying to say there.'

With her confidence back, Lina spoke to Teren again.

"S-sorry for overreacting like that. Hehehe."

Teren took a bite from his sandwich to erase his bashfulness before turning indifferent again and answered.

"It's fine..."

"Maybe it's because I'm being paranoid lately."

Lina showed an anxious expression.

"About what?"

"You see, there are times that I feel like there are always stare around me."

Teren nodded, not knowing where Lina was coming from. She then continued with a 'sad smile'

"I kinda feel like I have a stalker or something... it's kind of scary."

"Huh..."

"Even when I'm walking home, I think someone is following me. But it sounds like I'm bragging, right? It's not like I'm that popular to have a stalker. hahaha."

Teren's expression changed a bit as if he could sympathize. His mind focused on the five gangs trying to get information out of him.

"No, everyone can have a stalker. Those kinds of people are what I hate the most."

As if not expecting that kind of answer, Lina was a bit startled but she didn't show much of it. There was a delay in her response but she continued.

"Y-yeah, really, they are really hateful. They follow you and try to get every detail about you."

Teren strongly nodded.

"You're not sure if they're or not. They will hide in plain sight then... they will eavesdrop on you."

Lina pulled the trigger and the stray bullet hit someone nearby.

'So that's what she's getting at!'

The one who was hit by the stray bullet finally realized it.

"That's why I don't speak that much, I don't know who might be eavesdropping."

Teren continued to strongly agree with Lina. Maybe because he was annoyed this morning but having someone sympathize with you is a refreshing way to release some of that frustration by sharing complaints.

However, he has no idea that there's one person who was hit badly by it.

Iesa's mood instantly plummeted. Eating doesn't even improve her mood by one bit as she lost her appetite. She just mindlessly stuffs the food into her mouth as if she's a robot.

"Oh, s-so you have experiences with stalkers?"

Lina asked with a rather anxious smile. Iesa didn't seem to let that action passed.

"... I'm not sure." Teren answered ambiguously. Of course, he wouldn't say that he was being targeted by the underworld.

"Phew..."

Lina placed her hand on her chest as she sighed.

'What?'

Iesa frowned at her reaction but Teren didn't seem to notice it. However, he was still thinking about something else that Iesa couldn't hear.

'What's her deal though? I don't get her intention from her questions earlier...' Teren pondered a bit before shrugging his shoulder, 'But she's harmless, no need to worry about her. I don't feel any kind of malice from her. Not even a bit.'

After that, Iesa found something creepy.

'Hmm... hm~'

She didn't know why but Lina began to hum in her head. This was the first time that Iesa encountered this. However, she couldn't wrap her head around it and answer the question of why she found it creepy.

'Hmm~ What to.... what to hmmm...'

Lina's thoughts became stranger and stranger as she stayed silent.

'Ah, the exam!'

Iesa was startled before Lina began to talk again after that thought of hers.

"Teren, hahaha, break time is almost up! We only have two more subjects, why don't I teach you the pointers to review? You said you got yours from the internet, right? What you studied may miss the test's topic so how about it?"

"O-oh, I forgot about that."

Teren seemed to hesitate a little as he glanced at Iesa nearby. As if reluctant, he answered.

"F-fine, I think it's better if I know the exact pointers."

If Teren said that he would be fine, his answers earlier would contradict and he was sure that Lina would attack him with that.

'Notes from the internet? Why does it feel like he's lying!?' Iesa internally complained before her face contorted into a frown.

'These feelings... I really feel familiar with Teren. I'm so curious... I should meet up with his sister.'

Sensing Iesa's change of expression, Lina's observant eyes saw this and found something strange.

After that, the bell rang and students went to finish the last two subjects. Afterward, relieving the student's stress, the Monthly Exam finally came to an end.. The half of the day was still free.
