Chihua stood just in front and below Trisha. He looked at all the 'participants', the moment he looked like he was about to say something, all the spectators shut up.
They didn't have the time to talk about the new guy. This guy with the hat received more attention than the glasses guy all because he was late. It's ironic that the more no-name one is, the more they got the viewer's eyes.
"Thank you all for coming even though this is all sudde-"
"Just get on with it!"
One shouted and the others followed. These people were just one step before being thugs. They don't have respect and furthermore, they felt offended that the Public can just call upon them. Yes, they came but that doesn't mean they came because they were called.
Each of them has a name to protect, their pride is higher than anyone else here.. That's why the only thing they could do is show disrespect.
You're not above me!
Was the image they want to show.
For Chihua, this was totally expected, however, there was one person who didn't let these people continue.
"Halt!"
Her voice rang in the court. Everyone looked up to her, waiting for her to speak. They already admire her just becuase she's a girl. If she's a he instead, their envy will turn into hatred. That's just human nature. Straight people are naturally attracted to the opposite sex.
In their eyes, she's already an idol of delinquents. Furthermore, she's cute. It's like 'gamers' seeing a cute 'gamer girl'
Even without showing her strength, she already gained their attraction.
"Anyone who speaks louder than my Chihua here will fight him. Defeat him first before you use your mouth."
My Chihua...
She just means 'my chihuahua' but everyone else didn't know this was not his real name and envy towards Chihua spiked. Meanwhile, Chihua, himself, felt like he was soaring through the heavens. Even though he knew what she meant, it was still sweet to the ears.
This just incited malice from the 'competitors'
The first one to interrupt earlier was a muscly guy. He's known as Packboy. It's quite a ridiculous name but he liked it and let others called him that. It's because each of his punches packs a force! Maybe another reason is that he really likes slapping his opponent.
With sunken eyes and cheeks, Packboy stood in front of Chihua with confidence.
He looked at Trisha and then winked.
"Eww..."
But Trisha frowned in response.
"Ugh..."
"So you want to challenge me?"
"Yeah" Packboy laughed.
"Pack him! Pack him! Pack him! Pack him!"
Packboy's group amongst the crowd chanted.
Others were annoyed but this group was full of muscly men and they don't have the confidence to shut them up even if each one of them were delinquents too.
"Okay, since the Boss said so."
Chihua confronted him with similar confidence. He didn't seem to be intimidated by Packboy's figure.
The competitors, including Gomaro, Sean, and Sam looked at this 'opening act' with interest. They have only heard of the rumors about the Public. Their average students were stronger than the others and were more experienced in streetfights. However, they have never seen the top dogs act like the so-called Boss and her assistant, Chihua.
'Packboy, I've fought him once before. All his attacks are concentrated and he can even destroy bricks with it. I've only defeated him because of his lack of defense.'
Gomaro thought, reassessing Packboy again. He's not an easy opponent. Depending on the result, they may see Chihua's, the rumored second only to the Boss, strength.
"I'm ready when you are."
Chihua said while raising both hands. His eyes tell that he wasn't taking Packboy seriously.
A bit offended, Packboy moved and immediately swung his right fist.
Swish*
The air whistled from the sheer force he puts in his fist.
If that connected, Chihua might be put into a hospital from one hit. However, of course, he agilely dodged with his head, he didn't stop his movement and in one chain, counterattacked with his right fists too.
Packboy may be strong but the moment Chihua dodged his full power, it's useless.
Thud*
"Hmph!"
Yet, he's not a pushover. Packboy received a counterattack on his solar plexus but he only flinched. Bearing the pain, he used his right fist to grab Chihua and that's when he will pummel the redhead.
'You think I don't know my own weakness!?'
He wasn't muscly for nothing. With a smile, Packboy got a hold of Chihua. His left palm was now on its way while his right arm didn't let Chihua's shirt go.
'You're dead!'
"Hm"
Chihua held Packboy's right arm and his right feet rose to kick his opponent's sides faster than the incoming slaps!
"Kah!"
'He's movements are too wide...'
"Hm!?"
Pak*
Chihua's eyes widened as he was slapped on his right cheek.
"HAHAHA!"
Packboy laughed. Even though he was in pain from that kick, he was still able to continue.
"Don't underestimate me, Packboy!"
"Pack him! Pack him! Pack him!"
Chihua escaped Packboy's grip after receiving that slap. He didn't expect his opponent to be so tough.
"Seriously?"
He heard. He looked up and saw the disappointed look on Trisha's face...
"I thought you're the shit? Aren't you too full of yourself?"
Packboy continued to laugh as he raised his shirt, revealing his chiseled abs. This blatant hypocrisy and flaunting ticked almost everyone there.
He looked up to Trisha again and winked.
Trisha gritted her teeth and she was not only disgusted but annoyed too.
"Look here, musclehead."
Packboy looked down as he saw Chihua walking towards him.
"Finally, going serious?"
He laughed again.
"No, you're still not on my level."
Chihua said before charging forward. It was quick and before anyone's eyes, Packboy was raised up from the ground when he tried to defend Chihua's kick. Even he was surprised by this strength as he felt his forearm throbbed.
But before he could get thrown onto the ground, Chihua's other leg came swinging by, hitting his face. With no foothold, his whole body twisted before landing on the ground, unconscious.
The whole place was silenced.
