"About your proposal for us to leave the shogunate, we had already decided when you left the expedition group on the last one and retiring despite at a young age. We were your seniors but you made a decision solely based on a leap of faith and we can see what a leap you had taken and it took barely 2 weeks and we could all see the changes you had made around us."
Miroku was impressed with the changes and he was pleased to announce that he and the original 3 of them had already left the shogunate because he felt without the leadership of Hiko, they were an incompetent bunch of wandering fools.
"We didn't expect that even you had reached this magnitude of wealth and comfort but you seemed to put others before you and still be humble behind those fine clothes that you wore. You and the young man had not forgotten where you had come from and decided to politely steal from the rich and arrogant and give it to the poor in terms of welfare benefits."
Hide voiced his opinions on Hiko-sama and me after realising what it takes to return back to the society in terms of not based on monetary but with the joint efforts of both empathy and welfare of those around Hiko-sama and I. He too voiced his sentiments of joining Hiko.
"Yes, an unexpected turn of events for a Hiko Seijuro descendent and you had decided to left all the past behind and head the for a brighter and more prospective future. You had not failed to acknowledge your Comrades and even offer to us a better future that somehow would be spearheaded by this fine young man."
Toshi was surprised that the changes that were brought about for Hiko had come from the ideas and efforts by this young man that was filled with innovative ideas and never failed to put them to work and provide a 100% success rate that would help the community in one way or another.
"You and the young man had decided to forge a new beginning by inviting us to join your corporation, even if we know nuts about running a business or trade in your field of expertise and deciding to have us join you and forge better ties with the neighbouring villages by sharing your business ideas."
Kami shared his thoughts even though he was always 24/7 feeling edgy and cautious of his surroundings, and felt that he could not even contribute to the corporation but would give his best shot with the joint effort of his other 4 Comrades.

"I have nothing to say as I am a spare in this novel, but I still decide to stay with the shogunate, and in these parting words, please, I would like to take my leave now and form my own expedition team, meow...meow...meoooowwww"
Cat Man said as he slithered among our legs and walked away with its tail held high in the air and the 2 jiggly balls behind its butt, making his way silently out the same way he had appeared behind the other 4 samurai.
"Great... Now that we had just hit 500+ words made by your fine speeches, it now to cheers to our new venture into the unknown and share with all of us on the ways to make our lives and the community better. Come and join me as I explain how the structure works and if I made a mistake, Himura here would correct me."
Hiko-sama gestured everyone to join him at the garden as we sat and had our cups filled with yumeshu. They have even had a look of surprise when even a young kid like me joined in their merrymaking drinking session. I listened as the Director of Fasuto Japan KabushikiGaisha made his opening speech to deliver the corporation development and future growth.
"Excuse us for interrupting, Senpai. Could we have your permission to go and buy some groceries for dinner? We will also prepare some supper if you like but it seems that our supper may not be suitable when drinking with yumeshu."
Hanna approached us and I tell them to be careful. At most I gave them 30 minutes and be back by 6:45 pm so that they would be able to prepare their dinner.
Then the 6 girls went to the marketplace to get the groceries, with the initial gold coins that I had passed them. Little did I know, they had threaded one gold coin each together with the first silver that I had given them as lucky tokens for their necklaces.
Soon, Hiko-sama, the Director for Fasuto Japan KabushikiGaisha began his introductory speech.
"Fasuto Japan KabushikiGaisha was spearheaded by Himura by his ingenious way to create [Refined Iron] and [Purified Iron] from these scrap weapon parts and traded for gold coins from the Blacksmiths in Kitakata village."
Hiko-sama began by telling how we manage to gather funds from nothing to build the basic foundation of this corporation.
"It is his trade secret and only I am allowed to be with him during the process. With the gold coins he acquired, he was able to purchase this furniture, these 2 fine timepieces around our neck, the house to shelter the girls from ill-treatment and the so-called barn behind us as well as our sake that we are drinking now, dinners and suppers almost every night."
Hiko-sama purposely declared that all the research and development done for the corporation was all my trade secrets and only Hiko-sama knows about it. He explains how easy to earn money and use it up as soon as it was earned but in a good and productive way.
"With those funds, he set up this corporation name and we both worked hard on it almost at any time we see fit to ensure the initial setup and process would go smoothly."
"If not for this young man, what you see before you would not exist, and we initially both need to back us up one way or another as we do not have any internal help, to begin with."
Hiko-sama explained that the initial process was difficult as we backed each other up as much as possible to make things work.
"As time progressed on, this young man had not forgotten his roots and still cleaned your household despite being a small boss himself. He never even complained or seek others to clean your house as he took full responsibility to complete from dawn to dusk."
Hiko-sama related how I had fulfilled my obligation when was offered to work and clean their houses despite having hundreds of gold coins from the corporation sales.
"Here, take a look at this product that would be revolutionary and designed by this young man and it is named as Seijuro Tumbler Machine which would speed up and clean the laundry in only 15 to 20 minutes. This product as we termed as STM had been patented and is in the process of negotiation with a local machinist to start on its implementation within this week."
Hiko-sama presented the blueprint that had been made by the Designs Department to them and explains its fundamentals and operations as well as its benefits.
"He also devised something called a hanger that is now being used in your homes right now, complimentary for you. This is used to hang your laundry to dry after washing and then hanged back in your homes after it had been wind and sun-dried and also been patented."
Hiko-sama added that a supporting item had been developed to make the STM more value-added to the customers.
"In this way, you don't need to fold your clothes anymore and choose which kimono and hakama you would mix and match to wear for that day. Also hanging your clothes eliminate smells from accumulating as it is constantly air-dried and won't turn musty."
Hiko-sama explained the use so that they can use it as one of the selling points for the STM.
"Thirdly, he had also manufactured 29 Scented soap of different smells named Karada Soap for use in showers and washing your hands. Before you are the samples in their original packaging and please go ahead and smell them and tell us what you think."
Hiko-sama presented all the 29 lumpy shaped bars of soap that been carefully wrapped to protect its content with the Karada Soap wrapping paper. It wasn't marked and since everyone started to sniff it, they had suddenly felt refreshed and invigorated after their long journey from the expedition.
Hiko-sama explained that these Karada Soap could be used to not only for the body but for the face, hands as well as the hair of men. He said that he saw me using it on the hair and looked like an alien that emerged from the froth of the foaming waves of the sea.
They all laughed as they imagine that Hiko-sama had peeked at me while showering and half thinking that Hiko-sama liked boys rather than girls.
Here I go again, a harmless little answer that could be well misunderstood by many others. Hiko-sama is NOT a PEDOPHILE!!!
I saw a messenger passed by and called him to send a note to the sake brewery to send half a dozen jars of sake based on COD and I paid express service for the messenger to send it immediately.
"We had already received orders for this from the local cosmetic shops in the trading district and also from the head of building and construction which was referred to as foreman or the "grovelling fat little pig" by this young man. Please take a look at this order agreement and you can see what I mean.
Hiko-sama showed the sales agreement and all were astounded that a single person such as the head of building and construction could commit such an enormous investment. Hiko-sama soon told them about me being a Hitokiri armed with just a reed pen and how he slaughtered the rich and arrogant bastard.
Hiko-sama also explained that he would visit the cosmetics department tomorrow and seduce the lady owner to buy 100 pieces of every type of Karada Soap scent for 2,900 gold coins in total.
They were shocked beyond words that just a humble soap could be sold for so much and at a short period of time.
Everyone had a hearty laugh when they discovered I stood up for justice through this kind of brutal method. My manipulation methods were out of this world!
"Next would be the introduction of a Detergent powder called" Kurin Laundry Detergent" that would be lemon Scented that could be used to hand wash or used the STM to wash your laundry. This also can be used to clean the floor as demonstrated by Himura and the House smelled so nice that you can fall asleep easily."
Hiko-sama showed the sample of the Detergent powder that had been manufactured as a working sample and everyone was surprised at the fine granular finish and the smell that emanates from it.
They all nodded in agreement that this Detergent would be the next big thing together with the introduction of the STM and asked if the price was as stated in the sketchpad.
I explained that the price has skyrocketed to make the grovelling fat little pig suffer a great financial defeat by us. The STM could be paid by instalment for up to 24 months, interest-free, available to the public, so everyone could afford them.
"This has not been patented yet and would be processed once we had cleared the first batch of the 29 types of Karada Soap. The next would be a shampoo that would be meant to wash your hair, free from dirt and grime but it's targeted more towards the ladies. It has 10 types of scents and would be presented in a clay bottle that would be personalised in design and would not be slippery to hold in the shower. It would be called Hae Shanpu and it is not readily available but would soon be after being patented."
The thought of women walking past them with the enticing and sensuous scent of fruits on their hair made it very appealing. They all nodded in approval for this idea.
"Last but not least, a type of cleaning agent would be manufactured to clean the floors of the house, getting rid of dirt and stains more effectively and be based on 3 to 5 type of scents and would be available in time to come after being patented."
"I welcome you guys to each control and conquer the 4 regions here in terms of marketing, promotion, advertisement as well having your own showroom and office in that town to store, display and promote to everyone to improve the lives of the community. You would be responsible to keep track of stick records, proper movement records, as well as the daily generated sales and orders for the day. "
The thought of the guys treating the corporation as their own, and contributing their hard work and dedication surpasses their expectations of just being a samurai.
Being able to run their own showroom and office really brought their interests to a new level.
"This report would be delivered dailyto us every end of the day so that we would be able to monitor on the stock level and monitor the sales of the Karada Soap and manufacturer the scents that are more saleable than the others but we would keep a minimum stock for the less saleable."
Hiko-sama stressed that he needs to maintain strict control and expected the sales generated the night before be turned to corporate cheques and be sent to the main village of Kitakata to be deposited into the corporate account.
There are no interbanking facilities yet in those eras, so stop thinking of how hard it is to transfer money. Luckily, the author made some adjustments to the treasury policy so that non-transferable cheques, had a time capsule of 96 hours after being issued, that would be null and void if not deposited on time within the time and date issued.
"As branch managers, you would earn a higher salary than being a samurai and a yearly bonus which would be met out by Himura. Also, you would each get a luxury timepiece so that you would not wait for time but make time for your own improvements."
The proposal of getting higher monthly returns and getting a pocket watch that could be hung on the neck as an accessory delights them.
"I know you would be leaving this hometown but we would meet here each every ten days so we could discuss have dinner, drinks and have supper as well as share ideas on any products or innovations that you think could improve the lives of others, provide employment and at the same time bring profit for the corporation."
Hiko-sama made them realise that it is not all just for profit but giving back to the community. It takes money to make the whole world turn around. The guys understood this that this corporation does not deal with any shady business and holds a virtue within its standings.
"Himura had a projection that every month we need to hit a sales target of a combined 50,000 good coins just for this village alone and with a combined 4 more branches, we would be able to hit a 90,000 to 120,000 gold coins gross income that would be rolled back into the corporation in terms of wages cost of manufacturing and other variable and fixed costs."
The guys were totally shocked beyond words that their jaw hung open at the vision of me reaching a target of that much wealth!
They soon realised that it takes money to make money so they understood that the amount was just a general figure while the profit may just be a 5% of the gross income from the 5 regions and would generally cover just 600 gold coins of nett income for a projected 120,000 gold gross.
"Gentleman, from this day forth, Himura would address all of you as Seniors and you shall address him as CFO-san as I would be the CEO-san. We all work in one big family once again."
"Yes, CEO-san, thank you CFO-san. We seniors would obey any instructions and help to develop growth in sales and prosperity for this corporation."
The guys stood up, stood at attention and places their right arm over their chest as a form of salute and bowed deeply before returning to their seats.
"Seniors, I would be drafting a simple structural plan on how you would need to embark on the journey to expand our corporation. In this Edo period, we had long practising isolationism thus we were unable to import ideas in, so it would not stop us to export our ideas instead."
"Seniors, your roles are very crucial in the development and growth of this corporation, and please feel free to discuss your difficulties and voice out your dissatisfaction in any manner so that we could strive to improve it in any manner we can."
The guys nodded in agreement and can't wait for me to draft them structural plans with effect from tomorrow. The girls had come back from the marketing and waved at us as they entered their house and prepared their own dinners.
Sellers pushing their yatai soon came and it was time to dig into the hot, fresh and steamy foods that the samurai had longed for since the had started the expedition. I took my coin pouch and placed on the table, indicating that supper and dinner would be borne by their CFO.
"Seniors, don't be shy and go ahead and order anything you like. I would be footing the bills and delivery of 6 jars of sake will soon arrive. Have our fills, wash your weary away with sake and be merry as today after hours we are one big family and let me remind you that business is business and does not mix whether we are friends or family."
"Understood CFO-san." they chorus and proceeded to crowd over the sellers to see what they were selling and ordered their foods and the sellers, after sending the orders were paid dutifully by me. They had understood how the system works so they would tell the price and receive the payment.
After dinner, the orders of sake arrived and I settled the payment. Once again, seeing a kid settling the payments for their dinners and drinks and I do not even bat an eyelid at the prices made them realise that money is not meant to be kept but to spend in order to live and survive.
In short, it is generally termed as "Eat To Live, Live To Eat" where survivability is of great importance and reap the rewards that had been sown.
When we were having our first round of supper, the girls came over and asked if they could join in and all of us invited them over. They sat cross-legged on the floor and began to ask general questions of who the men were and how long they had been friends.
Upon hearing that they were from an expedition team, the girls asked if they had chanced any slave traders or even slaves during their journey and the men explained that they had not chanced upon any of them.
"Girls, why don't you introduce yourself to the new family members of this corporation," I said as I gestured to the left-most girl and they stood up, bowed and began to introduce themselves, one at a time, about their past and also what they would be hoping for in the future.
Soon, the 12 of us were enjoying supper and we talk casually on what the girls would be doing tomorrow as Hiko-sama would be bringing the girls to buy their clothes and other niceties as promised. I told them that a shipment of wrapping papers and some batches of the Karada Soap would soon arrive and they need to package them neatly for the marketing, promotion and sales very soon.
They would need to make 29 types of samples for Hiko-sama so that he can patent them first for the corporation and start to promote from the cosmetics department soon.
I explain that each product has their unique way of distribution so, certain things can move by itself while some would move as a package like the STM, Detergent powder and Hangers.
Hiko-sama planned to look for the local pottery business that could be contracted to supply the corporation with the hae shanpu clay bottles and reduce the cost by making a similar prodder to make a permanent imprint on the bottles. I agree to his idea as it would be generally mass-produced and can be stored in crates in the warehouse later for distribution. A stamp would be made to differentiate the scent of the hae shanpu.
This was noted in the sketchpad for future references.
Hiko-sama looked at the to-do-list and told me he will mark those that would be done tomorrow and at the same time he handed the Karada Soap samples to the girls and they find it a joy for each and every scent.
Hiko-sama asked which one they liked and since they had so many samples and did not know which one to choose, Hiko-sama took a knife and halved the lilac one and passed to them to use it for the shower.
The girls thanked Hiko-sama and one of them went back to their house and places it in the bathroom. I asked how they had their dinner very fast, and told me that they had 3 rocket stoves. No wonder the girls can whip up meals like a breeze!
The girls then excused themselves and said they would like to take a shower. Later I learnt they had only weekly showers and had the opportunity to wash their faces only. I told them that the Karada shampoo can be used on their heads as well and said they would try.
All the girls formed a line and headed back to the house. I whispered to Hiko-sama that I would bring up all the Kurin Laundry Detergent papers and made the girls to turn them into bags and stacked them together in a stack of '50s. Hiko-sama said he will monitor the first few times they make and then he would run his tasks afterwards.
After the last yatai had passed our districts, the men stayed a while longer before excusing themselves to go back to their own homes.
They asked for a sample of the Karada Soap to try and Hiko-sama reluctantly had to part with a quarter cube of each scent for his managers to try.
Soon they bade farewell and told Hiko-sama that they would proceed back here tomorrow to see if they could help in anything. Hiko-sama told them to come after lunch so as to give ample time for me to enter the Realm of Mind and Hiko-sama to perform his remaining task.
Soon after, we head back to our house to perform our daily tasks while I entered the Realm of Mind and brought up the whole stack of printed paper for the Kurin Laundry Detergent.
I showed Hiko-sama how to fold and glue it, and showed an approximate gauge on where the contents reach upon filling. Since the first process is to make these into bags, it would be tied into 50s for an easy count.
We conked off after we had our shower.
