12 production lines, 12 warehouses... All these would be fully running, at the start of Fasuto Japan KabushikiGaisha industrialisation era on the 1st week of the month, which was also the 3rd month of operations.
We sat in the garden and was amazed at what we were able to amass for the knowledge and a revolutionary production within a short period of time. The efforts that we had emplaced, benefitted the residents of Kitakata and overall economic stature. The amount in the corporate account had surpassed at least 55% of the total revenue collected from the trading districts put together.
It was a sole contribution from Fasuto Japan KabushikiGaisha that had made everything possible. We had some snacks prepared by the cooks and it was a cake that had been steamed with a banana leaf. There were a rice flour cake and a slice of steamed banana in the middle of it.
It was very delectable since it had been some time since we had last tasted it. We drank green tea and after that, decided to dive into the Realm of Mind afterwards and produce lots of Refined Steel Plate.
We had our first 3 letters that we had sent to Aizuwakamatsu, Yonezawa and Shibata Prefecture and they were all interested to purchase the Refined Steel Plates at the suggested price. The total amount of plates to slightly more than 15,000 pieces and given that amount of plates, we would earn the first 300,000 gold coins from it.
We informed the storekeeper to load the wagon accordingly to their required amount and we would exchange empty wagons with them as they would count the crates and brought the full wagon back.
9 wagons were filled up in the next few days to ensure an even load of 400 kilograms or lesser so that the horses would have no difficulty to pull them. After we had checked the amount required, we marked each wagon belongs to who with the quantity assigned to them.
The next following day, representatives from the prefecture came, inspected their cargo and left the empty wagons there as they hooked up their horses with the loaded wagons.
We received the deposit slips and banked into our corporate accounts while withdrawing some of its funds for the usage of our daily operations. Hiko-sama was left in charge of these finances as he had drawn close to 8,000 over gold coins and slipped the small wooden chest into the sleeve of his kimono.
After making the withdrawal, he showed me the total account left in the corporate account and handed me the wooden chest which I counted and stored in his pottery in the storage room in the house. Right now, we had an excess of 14,000 over gold coins for our float cash and this would enough to cover the salaries of over 4,500 gold coins per month.
Our consumption of food supplies amounts to about 950 gold coins every month to feed over 1,000 employees based on 6 meals per day. That shouldn't be too much considering that we were having home-cooked meals instead of lavishly spending in taverns or from the yatai seller's.
The letters from other cities in Prefecture that we had sent the letters earlier came tricking in and they wish to place their orders were stated in their replies. We sent them an acknowledgement letter stating on the date which they could come to collect their orders of Refined Steel so that we have enough time to produce them and not cause too much demand over our limited supply.
The overwhelming orders came from cities that had more than 20 over towns and the amount surmounted to over 100,000 pieces from a single order from the Blacksmith Alliance. We were able to accommodate the orders slowly as we only had 2 pairs of hands. We managed to produce 6,000 moulding trays per day over a period of 5 days in order to have sufficient supplies for their demands.
We had 2 days of rest and then we started to produce the same amount of Refined Steel Plates as we managed to fulfil the orders from other cities in the Prefecture as well. The deposits that we had made per city had swelled our corporate account like a giant pufferfish and this made the Mayor and the head treasurer smiled from ear to ear that it literally could flip their forehead back!
Our production lines had been running smoothly without a hitch and the supplies for the rest of the Prefectures had been rather overwhelming. The new products were very much welcomed in the Prefecture concerned and we had a fair share of the market over these newly added prefectures all around Fukushima.
We had a pleasant surprise when Hoshi-sama visited us in our garden. Sango, Kohaku and Kirara were also there when he came to cling to us.
"Chosen One, we have received the information that you needed on the Bone Eater's well that you were looking for in Tokyo. There was a dried-up well that you had mentioned the last time and it was near a village where a formidable Miko was living there."
"Thank you so much for letting us on this vital information. Would you like to join us in our little expedition to Tokyo? I am sure your fellow colleagues would be able to accommodate us."
"I would be honoured to, Chosen One. Please let me prepare in a day's time and we could embark on this expedition as soon as possible."
"Good... I will inform the Plant Managers as well as the Execom members of our absence. We have plenty of stocks in the warehouse and this would provide enough supply to the Prefecture."
Sango, Kohaku and Kirara were all raring to go for this little expedition to Tokyo. The distance to Tokyo would take at least more than 9-12 hours on horseback ride and depends on how many stops we are going to make. Little did they expect to gather more acquaintances to this village.
Some of the residents in Youkai Taijiya Village had relocated themselves to the perimeters of the outermost District and had been employed by the corporation to provide support for the travellers and merchants to the other 11 capital cities around Fukushima.
The chief of the village hadn't made his relocation plans yet because of his nostalgic feelings towards their little settlement at the ridge of Mount Otakine. Since he had a few followers with him, he would soon be relocating when the time comes. Being in a proper village and being with his daughter and son makes him feel safe if the future ahead.
The villagers of some settlements would be able to locate them with ease since they are now much accessible to render their assistance. The usage of messengers to relay the message to them is more convenient and feasible as well.
Sango and Kohaku informed their father that they would be gone for several days because they were going to be involved in a small expedition to Tokyo. Since they would be out from the protective barrier of the town, they readied their battle gear underneath their kimono, strapped the hiraikotsu and the kurisagama, and waited the day to embark.
Hiko-sama, Hoshi-sama and I were raring to go as well. Even though it is a short trip, but we would be able to visit other capitals too and hope to make friends along the way as well. We readied our mounts from the stable boys and once we had finalised everything with the execom and plant managers, we took off towards the direction of Tokyo the following day.
The next following day, we bade everyone farewell as we made our way out of the village on horseback. Sango and Kohaku rode on horseback too with Kirara held close by the latter.
Before we left, we had delegated our instructions to pack the Refined Steel as we had pushed out more than 300,000 over pieces of it in the 1st warehouse and all the storekeeper need to do is to maintain the orders and hand over the deposit slips to the execom. They would be performing the deposit during our absence.
We rode for about 3 hours before we take a short break for our horses to drink from the stream and for us to make tea. We had somehow missed our lunch and tea that was usually prepared by our 'aunties' back home. I guess everyone got pampered with our easy lifestyle.

I gathered some wood and use the Fire Release to make a small fire to boil water for tea. We had some onigiri for lunch and grilled fish, these two would be able to last about a day or two in this season. The snow has long since melted and flowers and other plants had sprouted everywhere, lining the path with a lustre of green and bright yellow.
We began our journey onwards and stopped at a small settlement just outside Tokyo for our dinner and a place to rest. There are a small tavern and a bed and breakfast. We booked two rooms, one for Sango and Kohaku while the other was for the three of us, Hiko-sama, Hoshi-sama and I.
After dinner, we sat outside the tavern that had some tables and chairs for the patrons to sit in case the tavern got full. Even if the settlement population is around 2,000 residents, it is still bustling with activity well into the evening.
The tavern served green beans soup with pieces of yam and sweet potatoes since there wasn't a yatai around. Hiko-sama asked if the settlement reminded me of my old settlement and I told him frankly that I had no recollection. Only he knows where I had come from and how I ended up in the burnt-out village.
"Do you miss where you come from? I mean with the technology and everything. What are you supposed to do here in this era, Himura?"
When Hiko-sama addresses me by my name, I know he is not joking around but was full of seriousness. He knew where I had come from since he saw the technology back in the Realm of Mind.
"Yup... I miss my old town. But somehow I met an accident there and that made me so-called 'possessed' the person that I had transmigrated. I had appeared on 3 occasions in modern Japan and another country called Thailand."
"Did you die before entering this body?"
"Actually no, I didn't die... In fact, I was receiving the public citation for solving an unsolved mystery and crime that had happened about 5 to 6 years during that time. But when I entered this body, I think the original person had died as he was left alone in the snow for more than 24 hours."
"Ah...how about the Hoshi-sama who called you the Chosen One and Sango who said she saw a star shape on your forehead."
"That's the Third Eye, Sensei. It was supposed to help me see evil spirits and also to alert me of incoming danger. I also would be able to forecast things ahead of time not the furthest future, but a near one. Like for example now, we are going to Tokyo to look for the Bone Eater's Well, in fact, it's not what I seek but the people associated with it."
"As for the Chosen One title, this is the second Monk who had addressed me as such. I don't know why I was called the Chose One... Maybe something to do with changing Fate?"
"Who are you going to meet there?"
"Remember the Confrontation of Hiten, the Thunder Brothers? What he saw and experienced was my induced Kamehameha onto my Odachi. And he warned us that he would meet us again. In fact, he would meet another threat, and the person resides there."
"Oh...I see it is about a dog demon, right? I'm hoping to meet him, sounds interesting."
"Interesting is one thing, the person whom I wanted to influence is the other party, it is a Miko and with Hoshi-sama, they would be able to help us gain a better foothold in the pill making the process. I only had basic knowledge and it is below Eko's and Fei's experience level."
"Ah...in time when youkai Taijiya is activated, these two would be following as well, to aid in support for the villagers that got hurt?"
"Something like that, Sensei... Something like that." I said as I looked up at the starry night and saw a shooting star streaked across the night sky. "I wished that everything goes as planned." I wished upon the shooting star.
I sighed inwardly and looked at Hiko-sama and how I changed his life. He's the 12th Hiko Seijuro and somehow he needed to hand down his divine sword fighting knowledge of Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu to someone and definitely that someone was not me.
He had now turned into an Entrepreneur and I was supposed to be a Hitokiri but instead became a tycoon in this business. How twisted and weird this storyline turns out to be.
"Chosen One, aren't you asleep yet? I thought you would be up after supper so u decided to join you and Hiko-sama here."
"Hoshi-sama, I need to know... When you are a small kid and when your father is still alive, did anything happened during that time?"
"My grandfather and my father had been cursed and this curse had been handed down to all make descendants. Somehow it seems that the curse had not befallen me and hope it stays that way."
"Hoshi-sama, please stay as virtue as you are right now and the curse would not be on you. Remember that, there is always a cause of your grandfather to befallen with that curse. And your father... How did he pass?"
"My grandfather and my father had this attitude whereby they were always chasing girls in any village that they went. My grandfather fought with someone and his hand was pierced, creating a vortex of wind that sucks everything in his path."
"As time goes by, my father awoke one day and found that he had the curse like my grandfather did, and that was a 'Wind Tunnel' or Kazaana. He tried to seal it but he was unsuccessful and in the end, the wind tunnel enveloped my father. I didn't know much about my mother though."
"Maybe this curse was triggered by something or someone, I won't know Hoshi-sama. But you need to be extra careful when around women, because if not your grandfather won't be in this kind of trouble in the first place."
"Yes, Chosen One. Would a talisman work in this type of situation? Because once we had blessed a talisman, it would protect the bearer."
"Some things are greater than what it seems to be, Hoshi-sama. If you are having flu, would you take medicine for body ache? If you have cuts and bruises, would you take medicine for a headache?"
Hiko-sama looked at me and wondered what I was blabbering about since the sickness and medication taken does not tally at all.
"What you just said is true, Chosen One. One does not take the medication for flu if he is having body ache. Or in simple terms, the talisman may not work against the prevention of the curse from happening, right?"
"What do you suggest, Chosen One."
"Hmm..." I looked at Hoshi-sama and saw a Buddhist Prayer beads around his neck. It was the same shape as the one that I had used in the prayer room in Ookuma Hospital in Nagoya. Not too big and not too small.
"Please pass me your prayer beads, Hoshi-sama. I see if what I'm going to do will work or not." I requested and he handed me the prayer beads that was around his neck.
I looked at it and it was made from wood and it came from a tree that is not native in Japan but somewhere else in the South East Asia region. This wood would excrete its own oil when frequently used during prayers or chanting. At this moment, it is dry but what I'm going to do next, might do a trick or two to it.
By that time, Sango and Kohaku also came down and joined us at the benches outside as they too were unable to sleep. Everyone watched me in silence as I sat cross-legged and held up my hands and used my thumbs to hold the prayer beads across me.
I closed my eyes and rubbed the prayer beads in my hands. Normally when I do that, 2 psi energy marbles would appear in the palms of the hands. But by rubbing the prayer beads in both hands, I managed to split the two psi energy spheres into 102 psi energy marbles according to the number of beads.
The beads now shone slightly after being injected with psi energy that would be used as a healing aid for Hoshi-sama. It may not prevent the curse from occurring because it is his Fate. Somehow, with these beads, it would give him a clue that it would be used to seal his 'Kazaana' from devouring him whole.
'Himura, I can see the star in your forehead glowed even brighter. It is like a Light that leads people to you. I hope you are not offended when I called you a youkai when first we met you. This is the first time I've seen such a star and it glows when you were meditating earlier."
"Oh...Sango-chan can see 'The Light' as well? Your spiritual being is very strong to see it on The Chosen One's forehead."
"Hoshi-sama, why do you call Himura as The Chosen One?" Sango asked since she had heard this phrase from Hoshi-sama.
"He was chosen to be the one because of the 'Guiding Light' on his forehead. He may be young, but he had chosen a path to change people's lives as well as redirect their path for the better."
"Everyone has a light in their forehead. The more spiritual inclined the person is, the brighter it is. Youkai would have a hard time dealing with this type of person because for Chosen One here, it was meant to battle evil and make right of the wrongdoers."
"If a person is sad, depressed or worried, their light would bend and this allows evil spirits and other youkai to come and attack since their spiritual spirit is weak."
"If a person chooses this path of Spiritual being, his light would be in a different aura than a normal person's."
"How about Kirara here. Does it have an aura of light on its forehead?" Kohaku asked and Kirara answered with a 'peeww..peeww' kind of meowing.
"For light on a person or animal, the forehead should be clear of any markings or tattoo. If there's any marking, it will block its light or aura. In the case of Kirara here, it is a nekomata, and this legendary cat is a good youkai. It's an aura that it gives out is bluish-white in colour."
"Yes, Kirara is a youkai... It is a Bakeneko and only serves the Youkai Taijiya like us. And yes, I agree that Kirara is a good youkai." replied Sango as she stroked Kirara's head lovingly.
"Hhuuuaarrgghh...Let us all have some rest first. Even we are in the outskirts of Tokyo, it would be better for Hoshi-sama to lead us and to meet his friends first of the village of the Bone Eater's Well." I fought off yawn after yawn since riding on horseback was rather tiring. I thought the effects of riding a motorbike and horseback would be different, but then I think we have not been outside Kitakata for some time and especially in a long journey like this.
Everyone agrees with me and went upstairs to our own rooms and laid down to sleep. Hoshi-sama preferred to sit near the window and hold onto his staff. He held the prayer beads in his hand and it glowed slightly when he flicked bead after bead in a silent chant.
