66 Mother's day Special

Name:Queen Kohra Author:Greyworrld
Kitari was worn out from council duties. She stretches her worn limbs and looks out the window of her room. The sun is setting and the golden brown glow shines into her room. A mother that has lost her child is one filled with hidden sorrow. She remembers Sephira, the one child that gave people chills. Speaking of which, her other child also terrified people.

She chuckles and closes the window. As she removes her gown to get ready for the night, she hums a song. It's a song she always sang for her children as a lullaby. She could still remember Sephira's bright eyes and Kohra's droopy eyes as she sang for them. By the end of the song, Kohra would be fast asleep and Sephira would be asking if the dragon ate the prince.

Kitari would chuckle and kiss Sephira on the head. That would lull her to sleep. Kitari cleaned her eyes, preventing the tear from falling and went to take her bath. When she returned, she saw Kohra seated on her bed in her night clothes.

"Mother" Kohra said with a warm smile.

"Kohra my dear, why are you here?"

"Hm, I came to see you. Can't I?"

"Of course you can. It's just I'm a bit under the weather"

"Isn't that why I'm here?"

Kitari blinked and shook her head, a smile forming on her lips. She sat on the bed obediently and let Kohra dry her hair.

"I heard you sing. What's wrong?" Kohra inquires softly. She outs the towel away and begins massaging her head and shoulder.

"It's just, the stress is getting to me and I..remembered Sephira"

"It's my fault. I'm sorry mother"

"No, it's not your fault. Sephira chose to give her life for yours. I won't blame you for such a noble thing"

"But mother you're aggrieved. I can't just sit and do nothing"

"Well, a vacation would be nice...."

"Consider it done"

"But the council's work is yet to be done"

"Jeir is jobless. She can take over"

"That poor girl really suffers in your hands"

"She makes me suffer headaches"

"Haha"

That night, Kitari slept better than she had in a few days, hugging her beloved daughter.

....

Leira felt uncomfortable. She had already kicked out the annoying Yoni and made the room as warm as possible but she still felt uncomfortable. Finally, she stood up and went to her son's study. She pushed the door opened and maneuvered her way inside. The aged bookshelves stood tall, filled with various new books.

The smell of ink and paper filled the room, making her sneeze. Her sneeze knocked Lesker out of concentration and his gaze moved to the door.

"Mother" Lesker said, appearing beside her the next minute.

"I'm sorry to disturb you but I just couldn't sleep. Could I stay with you?"

"Sure. I have space for one"

"What are you studying today?"

"Better trade routes to other continents. After the barriers were destroyed, we want to ensure the existing economies don't collapse. Want to help out?"

Leira smiled brightly. She had missed her son's childhood and ascension but he was always so patient and kind, giving her opportunities to prove herself. She was so blessed and lucky to have such a wonderful child.

"Of course. Show me what you've got"

.......

Britta was annoyed. Both dragons napped lazily on top of each other in their cave home in which temperature was very low. Her eye twitched as she watched the mess she made. She could barely keep it in. Anak opened one eye lazily and scrambled from where he was quickly, to avoid a pressurized jet of water directed at his eye.

"Who made this mess?!" she boomed, making them wince. They both woke up and under her commands, quickly cleaned up the place under her instructions. They both knelt and listened to her nag for hours on end.

When she was making dinner, the two had already been left off and went back to napping.

"Damn lazy dragons" she muttered but she couldn't stop the smile that was blooming on her face. They were annoying but she would trade them for anything in the world.

.......

Kohra couldn't fancy herself a good mother. Her husband was gone for quite a while, leaving her to manage her triplets. Her nerves were tested endlessly every day but one single thing quelled it at the end of each day. Before Lesker left, he gave her a coral. The coral was an enchanted item that would show the user what she desires to see the most.

The coral was useless in her hands because all she looked at was what she could already see; the sight of her beautiful children, sleeping peacefully and healthily. She always wondered if that was the reason her mother always liked to lull her and her siblings to sleep.

She smiled and slipped out of the room.

........

Quella felt endless happiness. Her mate was a patient, kind and loving person. He cared for her newborn with extreme care like she was made of porcelain. She felt a little jealous. She didn't know if she had his heart yet but she knew he was going to stay with her for the sake of their child.

"She has your face" Quella quietly commented. It was true. The only similarity she had with her daughter was that they had the same hair color.

"She's as beautiful as you" Ilan said, cooing at the child.

"Do you resent me?"

"For always trying to guilt-trip me, yes. But even if you're such a horrible person, it doesn't matter now. The way I hold this child now is how you hold my heart"

"Oh Ilan..." Quella said tearily and kissed him. He kissed her back.

.....

It's not international mother's day but I hope y'all women and mothers had a lovely day.
