Chapter 135 - Give me three days

Rhys knew how foolish his question was. He already knew what Kazuya's reply would be.

"Give me three more days with her. You can take her back with you then," Rhys muttered. "I won't do anything overboard, alright?"

Kazuya nodded, "Yeah, okay, so before I leave. Can I hug her? Just a bit."

He moved Lyn away from his arms, and Kazuya sat Lyn up so he could hug her properly. "Sorry I have to leave again. I know how annoyed and angry you must be by now. It will only be for three days, Lyn. You've really missed Rhys, and when you met again, you had to push him away. Spend some proper time together before things get rough again. We can talk about our relationship properly, once this war is over."

'Before things get rough again?' Rhys raised his eyebrows. It seems like Kazuya found something.

...

"So, why can't I meet him? The guy who lured me back into the Mist Kingdom?"

Lyn almost dropped the tray in her hands, and awkward laughter escaped her lips. "Uhh, what makes you think I would know?"

"Lyn, you're the one who wanted me to come back...so suddenly. I mean, your messenger was a tad too obvious," Rhys lips curve to a smile. "I thought, 'ah now she admits she misses me.'"

"That's unfair!"

Rhys grabbed hold of her arm, "Put that tray down; we can eat later. Let's do some talking first."

"Alright but, could you quit grabbing my hand like it's so normal?"

"Isn't it?"

Lyn averted her gaze, "Kazuya was here last night, right?"

"Ah," Rhys nodded. "You noticed?"

"I woke up; I wanted to tell him to quit being an idiot. Why does he keep behaving in that manner?"

Rhys chuckled, "Well, I obtained the husband's permission to do whatever I wanted with you for three days."

"I was awake, moron; you made yourself sound pitiable. Of course, he agreed not to take me away," Lyn caressed his cheeks. "But, I do understand. Do you feel alright?"

"I'm better now."

"That's good if your injury gets worse. Please tell me."

"Lyn," Rhys mumbled. "Tell me what kind of deal you and Princess Aurora made?"

Princess Aurora is the Sun Kingdom's Princess - and only heir to the throne. Rhys found the Sun Kingdom to be an unusual place.

"I already told you."

"Isn't there more to it?" Rhys probed. He doesn't want to let this subject drop. It felt like there was more to it than meets the eye. Lyn, however, clearly had no intention of telling him. So Rhys pushed her down.

"Rhys, unhand me," Lyn mumbled.

"Relax darling; it's only kissing. You can even think of it as kissing a fly," he mumbled as he traced her beautiful lips with his thumb. "Indeed, even now, you're the only one who can make me feel this way. Do you know Lyn? My heart is beating so fast right now."

"Don't lie, you--" he grabbed hold of her hand and brought it towards his chest. "Rhys..."

"You can hear it, right now I'm nervous."

"Rhys."

He's missed her so much, his Lyn. He can't bare to part with her anymore. It's so difficult for him to hold back when she is this close to him.

"You know, my wife keeps running away from me. But I missed her so much, so I came back."

At that comment, her eyes widened, and she bites her lip. "You're wife..."

"Yeah."

"I married you?"

"Mmm," Rhys muttered against her lips. "But the ceremony wasn't formal, so whether it was legal or not, I'm not sure."

"Rhys, I..."

"She keeps running away from me no matter what I do. Then again, I act more like a fool than her current husband does."

He spotted the tears in her eyes and chuckled. Rhys brought his fingers to her, eyelids, "Ssh, my love. Do not cry."

"No, I..." Lyn shook her head. "I'm terrible. Why did I forget that? That's so awful of me. Rhys.."

"Forget it, Lyn, it was for your own good anyway."

Rhys doesn't let her say anymore as he bent down and pressed his lips against hers. He kissed her more passionately than he did last time. A growl escaped his lips, 'Are they making out?' He liked the idea. She's so cute... No matter how strong she is now, whenever it comes to intimate things - she still blushes and turns shy. Right now, the current Lyn mirrors the old Lyn. Rhys still recalled how she reacted when they first made out.

...

Year XXX

The mattress underneath produced sounds of shaking. Lyn kept averting her gaze as he finished licking her legs. Rhys looked up, "You know, we don't have to do anything today. I can understand if you want to wait until you're eighteen." Though, waiting another year or so to touch her will test his self patience. He isn't an unreasonable person.

"I already did it once," she mumbled.

Right, she had her first time with Kazuya. That will bother him for the rest of his life.

Lyn hesitantly extended her hands out to touch his hair, "Rhys, I'm a bit scared."

"Relax, my love. We will only kiss."

"Really?"

Rhys nodded. He decided it a long time ago that he would not touch her until she turns eighteen. Until then, he will find other means to please her.

"I'm scared, but I trust you.."

She really shouldn't trust him. Rhys bent down and closed the remaining distance. Lyn's lips tasted sweeter than he last remembered. Maybe because he refrained from meeting her for so long. But quite some time has passed since he last did anything to her.

....

Present-day

Rhys gaze fell on the girl who was out of breath, flushed - and breathtakingly beautiful beneath him. 'Ah, the memories are overlapping indeed.'

"Rhys, let's stop now, please."

"Alright," he agreed, noticing how unsteady her breathing became. Lyn rested her head on his shoulders, and he chuckled as he rubbed her back. "You okay, love? Too much for you?"

"I seriously want to stab you, idiot."

"Ah, you sure you don't want to continue? If you have the stamina for stabbing, I believe we can still resume."

Lyn sighed, "Stupid, quit it. If I told you Princess Aurora wanted to meet with you, would you?"

So that's why she acted weird? Does Lyn think he will betray her and go to the Sun Kingdom? "The Sun Kingdom was only one of many places I came to," Rhys mumbled. The only reason he stayed there for so long was because of a deal he made with the Princess.
