A few weeks later, In city hospital's VIP room on the top floor.
Li Na had been unconscious over a few weeks, under the supervision of the world's highly proficient Neurosurgeon's team, still, there was no major improvement.
Meanwhile, inside the guest room of the top floor, the ambiance was extremely tense.
The Hospital's Director, Head Doctor with his team members presenting the progress reports of Li Na's condition. The atmosphere was tensed because of the Lu Empire's King Lu Jianjun's expression were exceptionally freezing.
Sitting on the sofa, he looked notably furious hearing the reports with the null progress which was expected, under the tremendous pressure, Head Doctor, sought to ease the situation.
Suddenly, Lu Jianjun stood up giving goosebumps to everyone, taking long strides he walked out the door without a word.
At the left, Lu Jun-hui sighed heavily as he watched his brother leaving. His brother doesn't appreciate hearkening to the repeating words. Lu Jun-hui then turned to speak to Doctor, "Why there is still no progress? You said she'll be awake by now."
"Mr. Lu, we are working our best. Li Na's brief loss of consciousness is because of oxygen deprivation to the brain, possibly caused due to the overreaction to a certain trigger or shock, her traumatic brain injury is making it worst. She must be mentally struggling. Besides, she was addicted to drugs thus her body is hardly reacting to any treatment."
"But we suspect soon, she'll gain her consciousness, it's just matter of time her brain took for recovering of the traumatic shock."
Lu Junhui nodded his head and said before getting up to leave, "Make sure, she'll be fine." he shook his hand with the Head Doctor and left.
After a couple of days, in the middle of the night.
Suddenly, Li Na's closed eyes fluttered while her whole body trembled as if she was experiencing nerve wrenching pain. She grasped heavily for more air as her mouth and nose were capped with an oxygen mask.
She needed to hold her aching head but something was attached to her wrist restraining from an action. She had limited energy for any voluntary movement.
Struggling, under the faint radiation, she tried hard to open her sealed eyes. after some instance, her eyes slightly opened before shutting tight as she breathed more heavily sucking the limited oxygen provided.
Hurriedly, a nurse marched towards the bed hearing the fluctuating sound of the monitoring system. Seeing Li Na grasping for more oxygen, nurse increased the oxygen level before calling the Doctor.
Soon later, Li Na's breathing calmed down, and slowly her senses felt alive. The pain was less compared to previous but her mind wasn't conscious of her surroundings yet. The throbbing pain subsided replaced with mild aching as her weak muscles felt numb.
Draining all the energy, gradually, Li Na drifted to slumber like returning to methodical sleep.
Early morning,
The whole team of specialist Doctor's were examing her latest test reports. Observing Li Na's normal breathing rate, her oxygen mask and non-required life supporting machines were detached.
"Good, No severe complications!" said the Doctor's Head as everyone huffed in relief.
However, despite her weak health, an old lady, who rushed from overseas, early morning to see her dearest granddaughter looked troubled with something.
Grandma Li sat beside the bed caringly moving hands over Li Na's dark ash brown hairs. She thanked the Divinity like a million times for saving this orphan child.
In the early growing age, Li Na's mother died while fighting against cancer over a lengthy period. Her father was deeply affected by her mother's demise. He loved her mother very much. He knew he won't be able to survive longer and just to provide his daughter a helping hand to grow into an elite lady. Li Na's father re-married.
Li Na's step-mother was very polite and caring towards her. Thus she fully became dependent on her stepmother. Li Na missed her mother but fortunate also as the new mother loves her the same way.
Her happiness lasted until her father lived. Later on, after her father's decease, her step-mother became distant, she was not cruel or rough towards Li Na but separated. Which was more saddening and depressing. And one day, her step-mother left her alone without saying.
An eleven-year-old Li Na outlasted solely inside the huge Villa. She was loved yet the period was very short. It struck her psychologically. Due to Li Na's grandfathers deteriorating health, her grandparents couldn't stay with her all the time nor she forces them to. Li Na tried to be strong and refused to resettle with them aboard.
Elder Li felt despair and pain as she couldn't do anything for dearest Li Na.
Gradually, their occasional presence didn't matter to her, it couldn't fill the bottomless void inside her, nothing could. She lived with the fact, there will be people who'll love her but surely they won't stay with her forever.
"Madam, Master Lu is waiting for you in the guest room. He's speaking with Doctor's and asks if you want to talk with them." The old lady looked over the assistant.
Elder Li nodded and gave a guarded glance towards her granddaughter before motioning to leave the room. A nurse followed behind her pushing the wheelchair with an IV stand.
