Chapter 62 - Hijacking His Mind

Li Na walked towards the sofa as their balconies were connected. She let out a heart-melting low chuckle as she came to sit in front of Lu Jianjun's couch. "Did I scared you, Mister?" she asked playfully while laughing and shifting on the long couch. She adjusting herself as the cushions were a bit cold, thankfully not as cold as the man's expressions.

After a while, she finds a suitable spot and folded her legs to sit comfortably. She gulped down the whole water in one go and thumped the glass on the table, and rubbed her hands before shoving them back in her long selves.

Silently, Lu Jianjun just watched the little beasty rummaging around for her comfortable spot, he glanced at her for a brief moment before he ignored her completely.

Li Na blankly stared him for a while, waiting for his response or at least he could say 'Morning' to her. She supported her one elbow on the sofa's armrest and tilted her head with her chin resting on her hand while looking all innocent.

"You were scared, I'm right?" she said, there was a certain joy in her voice and amusement. She was truly amused by seeing his reaction. He reacted spontaneously as if she was a ghost, although his expressions were impassive yet he again turned to look if she is human or ghost. Well, if she would have been in his place, she would have jumped and shouted at him later.

Waking up to see a person standing in the dim light and minutely staring at her in a quiet night like a ghost is actually scary.

" If you didn't admit that means I'm correct. You were startled. Hmm, How would Little Tiger react knowing his father got scared by his mother. Ah, I'm sure he'll admire me for that, What do you think? " She spoke out her mind without a care. He threw a displeased glance at her as she wiggled her fine eyebrows at him. Her lips curved with a playful smile.

She was oblivious of her charm and how adorable she was looking, while all wrapped up only her flushed smooth face revealed like a small shrinking bunny, muffled with a blanket, too bad though he wasn't interested nor in the mood to play with her.

Lu Jianjun replied as a matter of fact, "I wasn't scared, I was upset seeing you."

'What?' Li Na blinked in confusion.

'He was upset about seeing me.' Her mood instantly dampened as her smile fell off. 'Damn, this guy is such a joy killer. No, not interested, definitely not my type of person to talk with. If he can't like my face why should I bother myself looking at him!!'

"Of course, I can relate with you." she retorted passively before turning her back upon him, folding her arms on to backrest of the sofa.

"Good Morning, Mr. Wu." she greeted the old butler, who happened to appear from the living area stepping into the balcony door, she was facing now, the inside interior of the room was better to look at than the dark sky and the cold iceberg sitting behind her back. Perhaps throwing daggers at her now. Li Na spoke to the old man with the same compassion she greeted Lu Jianjun earlier.

"Oh, Good Morning, Miss." surprised to see her awake and sitting with Lu Jianjun, the old man politely greeted her as he placed a tea set tray on the table and happily smiled at her. Simultaneously, Li Na also turned to face the butler behaving as if, only they were present and no other third party is present.

Meanwhile, Li Na smiled, with Mr. Wu's kindness and cool temperament she could sense the old man's fondness and affection towards kids.

The old butler poured a cup of tea and placed near Lu Jianjun's ŀȧptop. Then he turned to ask her. "Miss, What would you like to have?" he asked her ever so gently that Li Na held her hand on her ċhėst as if she was moved by his words and wrinkled smile, honestly, she was fanned over him for his kindness and unbiased nature towards her. Who doesn't like good people with the world plenty of bad ones?

"Oh, don't take trouble so much. I'm fine with tea. And please, Mr. Wu, call me Li Na. I'll be happier." Li Na replied with her twinkling eyes.

"Miss Li..."

"Just Li Na." Li Na immediately interrupted the old man. She wasn't habitual of an elderly person talking so highly to her. Even her mother, Li Jiazhi was so severe with her twin daughter that their old nanny was also allowed to punish the twins if they were caught behaving wrongly. That's why despite belonging to a high-class family, they were never pampered in a spoiling or any critical way. If they made a blunder, only they were responsible for fixing it. Moreover, Mr. Wu is of her grandfather's age. It feels awkward and false hearing an old man giving her unnecessary respect.

"Mi-" the butler hesitated but Li Na firmly shook her head in disagreement. Mr. Wu chuckled and said, " Ok, only Li Na," to which she nodded in acknowledgment.

"Li Na, I'm afraid this tea has the taste that you won't like to try. How about I'll bring you something sweet." the old man kindly warned her as if telling her not to taste this poison.

"Oh, No, No, don't bother." she sighed apologetically to herself and said graciously,

"At this point of life, I'm well accustomed to bad tastes of food. I won't feel good or sweet if I trouble a kind person like you, for a mere cup of tea. But thank you for asking."

From the sides, Lu Jianjun dumbfoundedly stared at both of them as if watching a stage play.

What the fuċk was that?

If not for the fact that Lu Jianjun knew the old man very well and his Butler's character and clean intentions, who Li Na was talking so sweetly and smoothly, he would have shut them up.

Despite them having such a large age difference, he was about to totally mistaken them as two people purely flirting with each other with their sweet and sugary talks.

However, he was unsure of her intentions, by seeing her flushed little face with a happy smile glued on her lips.

Was she this much pretty before or its some kind of black magic? Was she flirting?

'Does that mean, I wasn't the only one she attempted to flirt with?' Cause if she talk like this to other men then that will be considered as senseless flirting.

Holy cow, What is he thinking? ' Lu Jianjun pinched the space between his eyebrows. His expression was irritated and displeased as if someone was hijacking his mind.
