He almost wanted to burst when he saw the time limit. 'I don't even know how to operate this thing?!' It took him a couple of minutes to calm down. 'Okay, now isn't the time to rage. Concentrate.' He tried to 'feel' the outside world by copying what he had seen on anime and read in webnovels. He really didn't have any other clue on how to proceed with this.
'Wait...this feeling, its like...the wind?' Icarus could feel the wind swirling around him, brushing against his face. It was a strange sensation that was almost impossible to describe. He didn't hear a ringing sound go off, to confirm success so he continued to extend his "reach" and tried to sense more. Very soon, he could taste the soil in his mouth. It was a strange earthly taste. He remembered this because he used to eat mud when he was child and the warden in-charge of the orphanage scolding him was one of his fondest memories. The ring still didn't go off so he reached further, starting to feel a heat against his body. He stretched his concentration to the limit, desperately trying to find some new sensation. The timer was running out with only a few minutes to spare his concentration had long since reached a peak and he felt that his mind was actually starting to creak under the pressure. The time was counting down and as it did he was filled with extreme regret. 'Is this the end? I haven't even seen the faces of my parent or even seen the world outside.' Just as he was about to give up a strange new sensation overpowered him. He felt a wet and cold sensation crawling along, or at least what he assumed to be, his skin.
Ding!
A ringing sound was heard that was followed by a rush of relief and overwhelming fatigue. He had stretched himself further than ever before causing him to be extremely fatigued and faint almost immediately after the confirmation.
Ding!
His problem wasn't over yet however as he was woken up again by the quest bell. This time he almost fainted as soon as he saw the quest.

'What the hell?!' He didn't want to waste time so he immediately started expanding his 'perception'. As he did, he didn't get very far before he had come in contact with something. 'Knives?' He could feel their shape. In fact, that wasn't the last of the objects. As he kept going, he felt other kitchen utensils, coming to the conclusion that his mother was sitting in the kitchen. He was so focused on his task that he didn't realise that he was covering a greater range than he had covered last night. As he reached his peak, he finally felt a real weapon. 'Swords.' Just as he did, a ring went off inside his mind before his perception was abruptly cut off by something. Icarus felt himself fainting and this time he wouldn't awaken for a very long time.
'I see...' Sana stroked her chin as Daedalus explained the specifics of being a Weapon King. 'But you said that only people destined to be Warrior Class could be Weapon Kings?'
'Yes.'
'But only people destined to be Mage Class could be Elemental Kings. Doesn't this mean that our son will be an Aesir?' Daedalus nodded. He didn't know why everything was turning put the way it was. When he had decided to settle on the countryside farm, he had thought, or at least hoped that his son would turn out ordinary. Then he would teach him farming and they would live put their lives as a happy family. Yet everything was going in the complete opposite direction. His unborn son couldn't possibly be anymore of a genius, even by his standards. He was literally one in one billion in terms of talent and he wasn't even born yet!
'Was everything really futile?' He couldn't help but question himself. Sana saw through Daedalus' thoughts and squeezed his hands. 'Darling we tried our best. It just wasn't meant to be.' He looked at Sana and nodded. 'That doesn't mean we can't be a happy family. We will just have to change the way we become a happy family.'
Daedalus finally cracked a small smile after hearing this. 'Mmm. I have an Aesir son, I should be a proud father!' He puffed out his chest and Sana giggled at this. 'What about all this?' He turned towards the farm, looking out at the massive territory it covered.
'Let it be. It will be good if Icarus had some space growing up.' Daedalus nodded and stood up, planning to head outside when his hand was grabbed by Sana who stopped him. 'We still haven't discussed something crucial honey.' She gestured for him to take a seat and he sighed heavily. He wanted to avoid discussing this topic and had hoped that Sana would just forget about it. 'When should we tell him?' Daedalus found that line almost physically painful to hear.
'Do we have to? Can't we just let him know to never say his true last name?'
Sana shook her head. 'That is not an option. We both know that he needs to know about his heritage. About our past. About the burden carried by bearing the surname Dragonsword and being the son of Shirahime.'
'I-I think that perhaps we should tell him after he awakens?'
'Daedalus, you can't fool me. You and I both know that Aesirs require a ridiculous amount of karma to awaken naturally. That is the price they have to pay for having the privilege of double classes. Nonetheless we can always awaken him artificially through the Awakening Stone and his talent wouldn't be any less monstrous.'
'Not an option! I want our son to have the brightest future possible. That will only be the case if he naturally awakens.'
Sana glared at Daedalus who was making the comic pose. 'Honey, our son is an Aesir with Elemental King and Weapon King traits. I think he will actually have to try in order to have any kind of bleak future at all!' She grabbed his ear and twisted them, 'now put away your bad jokes and stop dodging the subject!'
'Ow, ow, ow! Okay, okay.' She let him go as he rubbed his red ears and sighed. 'Very well. I think we should take a look at his stats when he is born and then maybe tell him.'
Sana nodded at this, 'we both know that according to his talents, he should be born with at least stats of 0.5 in every category. That would mean he would be intelligent enough to understand by the age of 5.'
Even though Daedalus agreed with this, his gaze was still facing the ground. 'I just don't want to tell him Sana.' He really didn't. In fact, he would have avoided the subject all together if possible.
'I know honey, but, it is necessary.' She gently rubbed his shoulders and leaned in, letting him rest his head against her chest. 'He needs to know about our adventures, about our meeting and about our rise to fame.' Daedalus looked up at the love of his life who was staring him in the eye. 'Similarly he needs to know about our families and the weight behind the names Dragonsword and Shirohime.' She leaned in close and they shared a kiss as the rays of the sun light up the dining room.
