Yu Yan's friends had already arrived in the capital city before noon to celebrate her birthday. Therefore, after getting birthday wishes from father and Yu Yue she went out to meet them. Also, she wanted to discuss her plans with them in a place which wasn't under her father's eyes. She went all by herself to recieve them at the appointed cafe. Yu Yan, Qingqing, Yaoyao,Yuanzhi and Chen Hao knew each other like the back of their own hands so there were seldom any secrets that weren't shared between them. Since childhood they had always helped each other to lay traps for other people, the benefits were shared appropriately and because this was a beneficial arrangement for all of them, there had never been any major disputes between them. Every one of them let down most of their masks infront of atleast this group of friends. Therefore, they had been the first people Yu Yan had thought of while planning things. She explained to them about her birth as well as regarding her father and elder sister. Each of them instinctively understood that they would be making trouble for that girl in the evening at the party. The small kinks and details of the plan were fleshed out and they left for the Yu residence.

Yu Yan wore a tight fitting pale blue coloured bodice in place with a plunging neckline with a shimmering skirt that flattered her figure with moderately black high - heels. It was worth it for the effect but standing for long periods of time made her feet uncomfortable and she felt a bit itchy due to the lace on the bodice. Since the guests were deemed close family friends there wasn't much etiquette to follow. It was actually quite a relief for her since she hadn't learned everything from the ettiquette teacher her father had hired for her. It all seemed so tedious to her. Anyways, she had already instructed Xun Mei to look after her friends that she had especially invited.

The turnout was more than she had expected which gave her an opportunity to put her plan into action. She saw how even though it was her day and Yu Yue hadn't dressed as glamorously as the day of her eighteenth, she still fluttered from one group to another like a butterfly. A smile here, a smile there, some polite remark and it was as if all the people present were captivated by her charm. Gnashing her teeth she smiled more beatifically and tried to mingle with everyone present but it was somewhat of a hit and miss.

During a lull in the party she saw Chen Hao talking to Yu Yue. He offered her a toast while offering her a chamgane glass. Obviously, Su Li couldn't reject him since he was Yu Yan's friend and she knew Yu Jian was watching her every move. As soon as she took that glass from the other person, the system started sending her warnings that there was a potent aphrodiasc in it. She immediately understood what was going on and asked the system if it would help her keep the symptoms at bay so as to help her finish this act. The system gave a positive response to her request. Therefore, she drank the glass in a single gulp and smiled at the guy. It was at this moment that she realised that she hadn't even paid much attention to these people's names when they had been introduced to her earlier by Yu Yan. Anyways, the show must go on so she skipped over these irrelevant details and started planning her next course of action.

A few minutes later she got up to go to the restroom. From the corner of her eyes she saw the malevolent smiles on Yu Yan and the other people involved in the plot. She left the ballroom as if she hadn't noticed any nefarious schemes. As soon as she came out of the restroom she saw a guy standing across from her. He was also introduced to her by Yu Yan and was called Yuan something. He must have thought that with a striking pose he must look suave but to her he looked like a room attendant waiting for further instructions. It looked he would be the other main character for the play Yu Yan had planned out.

She didn't want to let down their expectations so pretended as if she couldn't walk straight and was on the verge of loosing her balance. Seeing her like that he came forward in a gentlemanly manner with a concerned look on his face, "Ah! You are Yanyan's sister. What happened? Are you drunk?" She waved her hand as if trying to shake off a pesky fly but he abruptly caught her wrist and pulled her into his embrace. She was really disgusted with this play and wanted it be end as soon as possible so to that end she acted a bit muddled. She let him hold her in his embrace and take her towards one of the bedrooms. While they moved forward Qingqing took a picture of their back with both their faces visible from the side and sent it to Yu Yan.

As soon as they entered the room he tried to get frisky with her but before he could even touch her she already grabbed the other person's wrist in a tight clasp. Su Li had learned Jiu Jitsu from some of her father's bodyguards and though she hadn't been able to practice it due to her health problems later on, the basic training drilled into her was still present. Therefore, she easily snapped the guy's wrist. The sound of his bones breaking was heard loud and clear in the otherwise silent room.

Yuanzhi hadn't thought that this pampered miss would know martial arts and would be so ruthless. He also recognised the fact that he had been played by her. Before he could think about how to get out of this predicament he heard footsteps outside the door and then the door was opened with a loud bang.

Yu Yan was talking to a few guests with a heart warming smile. She soon recieved a text from Qingqing. She waited patiently for a quarter of an hour. She felt this time was enough to implement her ideas since what needed to be done would have already been accomplished and she didn't want to go too far in the first face - off between herself and Yu Yue. After all, the cat never killed a mouse on the first strike. Before striking the killing blow it toyed with the trapped mouse and she had always followed this principle in all her actions. Fifteen minutes later she saw as her father looked at his phone and she could immediately tell that he was in a bad mood. She watched as he made some weak excuse to the person he was talking to and rushed up the stairs to the first floor. Looking at his anxious face and his hurried footsteps she also excused herself and went after him. She knew that when people saw both of them leaving so abruptly in such a flustered manner, they would get curious and someone or the other well - intentioned person would follow them.

Even if it was only one outsider who witnessed the scripted scene they were about to see, it would spread out to other people sooner or later and this would give her a chance to get out of the shadow of her elder sister.

When Yu Jian recieved the photo message and saw the familiar face of his daughter being held by a guy, his heart sank in a matter of seconds. He knew this was a scheme and didn't know the other person's motive. But whatever it was, it wasn't anything good for him and Yu Yue. If something terrible happened he wouldn't be able to forgive himself in this lifetime so he rushed upstairs without any other thought except to hope that it wasn't too late for either of them. He saw Zixi on his way and told him about the circumstances briefly. The background of the picture showed this corridor so the two people must be in one of the rooms on the first floor. For the first time in his life Yu Jian regretted having more rooms than necessary so they split up and opened the doors of each room. His hands and feet didn't seem to work properly and he felt a bit sluggish when he heard a noise from a room further down the corridor. Both of them rushed towards the room and Zixi busted the door open.

What they saw was Yu Yue sitting on a chair elegantly while a guy was sprawled out on the floor with a broken wrist in an ungainly manner. Watching this scene their hearts felt relieved as well as reassured. Yu Jian ascertained that his daughter had dealt with the problem in a timely and efficient manner. As there were outsiders present right now, he didn't want to create an unnecessary scene and let his daughter be talked about behind their backs. Therefore, he ordered Zixi to take the person to the adjacent building and keep him under watch. He also asked him to make sure that the incident wasn't made known to others under any circumstances except the people present in the room.
