Huo Zi Feng gently walked her to the car and took her with him to his apartment. He didn't want Qiu Yue to stay here any longer.

As for the aftermath of this incident? He had a very good idea of what had to be done. Besides, while Chiang Jin preliminarily handled the situation, Yao Yan was still there. He doubted that she would even let any of them off.

Qiu Yue had stopped crying once they neared his apartment but she took hold of his coat, seemingly unsure of what to do. But Huo Zi Feng could tell she didn't want to let go. He took her hand in his, interlocking their fingers together as he held her close.

Qiu Yue stood silently the entire time until they were inside his apartment.

She looked straight at him, right into his beautiful dark eyes as if trying to gauge his feelings.

"Do you think... that I shouldn't have gone?"

Huo Zi Feng stayed silent for a few moments before sighing deeply.

"I want to say no. I would rather you hadn't."

Qiu Yue's eyes showed helpless as her hands unconsciously clenched into fists. Seeing this, Huo Zi Feng put her hands in his, unfolding them gently.

"But I don't think I can. You went there... because you wanted to believe. Believe that she had changed. That Bao FeiYin could look at things differently. I can't ask of you to change that."

"That's who you are, you... look for the good in people and I love you for it. And Bao FeiYin did change, so you were right. But Qiu Yue. Don't ever do that again."

"Don't ever go anywhere without telling me. Ever! And if-if there ever comes a day I'm not at your side, tell Yao Yan."

He gingerly reached out to tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear as he continued to speak.

"I wish the world could be as kind as you are but since it isn't, let me help you. Please."

Qiu Yue gave him a watery smile as she placed a hand on his chest, pushing herself up on the tips of her toes as she closed the distance between them, putting her lips on his lightly.

Huo Zi Feng felt a soft, sweet touch on his lips, which then deepened into something sweeter. Their kiss deepened, and Qiu Yue and Huo Zi Feng hugged tighter as their lips interlocked.

Before long, they broke apart, gasping for air as they stared into each other's eyes.

As if giving signals to each other, this time Huo Zi Feng reached out to kiss her.

The previously, soft and forgettable kiss became an unforgettable, passionate kiss when Huo Zi Feng took command.

The kiss became dangerously hot as they both rubbed their bodies against each other, as if on the verge of losing control. One second later, Huo Zi Feng was in a dangerous situation, which Qiu Yue noticed. A smile bloomed on her face right before they completely lost control.

The quiet afternoon that had been filled with deafening silence had slowly turned into the sounds of pleasure made by the couple, which could be heard throughout the apartment.

Huo Zi Feng woke up to see a lovely face near his. Her dark long lashes rested peacefully against her milky skin, a light coral hue over her cheeks. Cute little nose and beautiful full lips that reminded him of sweet lychees that he had once tried. Her chest rose and fell as she slept, his hand placed over her waist as she snuggled closer to his chest.

His lips rose up in a smile as his eyes softened and he sat up slightly, resting his head on his right palm. He just looked at her cute self, trying to forever remember this moment, capturing it in his heart.

His eyes wandered to the wall clock on the other side and he decided to make dinner for both of them. She'll probably be hungry, he chuckled lightly before leaning over and softly kissing her nose.

He got out of the bed, scrunching up the blanket next to her so she could hug something, pulling up a pair of pants as he walked over to the kitchen.

And thus Qiu Yue woke up to the sound of cooking from the kitchen and the fragrant smell of the warm homely scent of food in the air. Still sleepy she rubbed her eyes as she picked up his discarded shirt from the floor, putting it on and buttoning up just the bare minimum buttons, trying to conserve energy.

She yawned as she walked into the kitchen, just to see Huo Zi Feng cooking shirtless. She couldn't stop the giggle that bubbles forth as she looked at the image of him and his broad shoulders, cooking for the both of them!

She didn't wait for him to turn and quickly hugged from him his back, resting her chin on his shoulder, reaching it just barely.

"Hi~"

Her voice was still a bit raspy as she'd just woken up and she felt his chest vibrate as he laughed. He quickly turned around and picked her up, setting her onto the marble kitchen slab.

"Want a taste?"

He looked at her, smiling happily.

"Mhmm~"

He scooped a spoonful of the soup and blew on it twice before feeding it to Qiu Yue.

At first, she smiled mischievously but as soon as she tasted it her eyes turned into a pair of crescent moons.

"Omo!"

His eyes glowed as his expression screamed 'Praise me! Praise me!"

"It tastes amazing!"

Qiu Yue swung her legs back and forth as he continued to whip things up for her, giving her a taste here and there, stealing a taste of her lips sometimes.

They both talked and laughed, comfortable within the warmth of the sunset and each other's company.

When it came to dessert, seeing the cheeky girl sitting like a proud king while he cooked for them, Huo Zi Feng crept closer to her with a hand behind his back and quickly sprayed whipped cream onto her nose.

Seeing her surprised expression with a white nose she looked like a reindeer. She squeaked in shock before grabbing for the bottle of cream. As they went back and forth, soon there was cream flying all around the kitchen.

Finally, they both couldn't stop laughing as they looked at each other.

The cream had landed on Huo Zi Feng's head, two perfectly shaped triangles. He looked like the perfect proud kitten Qiu Yue had always wanted.

Bao FeiYin was let off in consideration of the attempts she had made to help Qiu Yue. By choice, she decided to move to another country.

Chiang Jin, though dissuaded by Bao FeiYin, decided to follow her over.

Bao FeiYin felt that she was meant for more but she didn't want to look for it here anymore, she knew that whatever she'd felt was destined to her would no longer be the same if she stayed here. So, with her skills and ideas, she left to start anew in another country.

Chiang Jin has no reason to leave, but he wanted to be with Bao FeiYin just a bit longer, and this time they would start as friends, all over again. Perhaps what he felt for her before hadn't been the deep feelings he had seen between Qiu Yue and Huo Zi Feng. But he wanted to see where this relationship between Bao FeiYin and himself could lead to.

Bao FeiYin looked at the stubbornly determined man standing next to her at the airport.

"You might not like all that you see. This time you'll be getting to know the person I really am."

"If I never try, I'd forever regret it. I want to get to know you."

She sighed but his words remained firm.

When Qiu Yue heard of this, she also sighed in response. But then she thought, perhaps they could have the life they hoped for.

As for what happened to Wang Xi...

He was first convicted according to police procedure but due to his connections with the underworld, he was soon escorted to a secret location so the government agents could extract more information from him. The people on the higher positions already had been given orders to make his life as hard as possible. The only reason he had even been able to keep breathing was because of the information he may possess.

However, within a week, Wang Xi was found dead. There were self-inflicted scratches all over his body, as though he'd been clawing in pain.

Unbeknownst to anyone, his biggest regret had been not knowing what his killer had meant with the last words he'd ever hear.

"A main character's soul is worth a lot of energy... and so is the main antagonist's..."

No one would understand how he'd died. In fact neither had Wang Xi been able to. All he knew was that it felt like someone was breaking down his soul into tiny pieces, nothing he could've done would have helped him.

And thus Wang Xi's very soul had disappeared from this world, never to be seen in this or another world again.
