56 Ignorance

Sitting next to Emma, Hannah began looking down at the ground, avoiding the gaze of a certain someone.

Emma, noticing Hannah's unusual behavior asked: " What's wrong?"

Hannah was actually thinking ofquestions to ask the other 3 to be sure that they wouldn't abandon her or anything

'Hmm... what questions should I ask that wouldn't make them suspicious of me, what question would make me able to tell how much trust or belief in me they have.

But hearing Emma's voice along with the stares of everyone made Hannah panic

"I LIKE TOASTERS"-Hannah blurted out without filtering her words

'I want to jump off the window' why the hell did such a stupid question surface in her mind.

Xiao bai 'That's a messed up mind you have there"

System ' I agree'

Hannah' How much does it cost to make the system have a physical body?

System ' System shutting down'

When Hannah finally looked up, all she could see was the confusion written all over their faces, can't blame a girl for wanting toast can they?

After taking a few extremely long minutes to process what they've just heard, Emma was the first to snap out of it

"err what about toasters? Like the bread toaster?"

"No, it's a fish, NOi mean that's the nickname I've given my crush"

That would have been better if the awkward atmosphere would cool off a bit.

For some reason Matthew had a demoralised look

"Who is it?" Erm,It's a guy with errr green eyes and blue hair" ' WTF did I just describe?'

"Did you fall for a local tyrant or cotton candy man?" Emma

"What does cotton candy man have anything to do with this?" Eleo

"OUCH" with a smack to the head Eleo backs down with an aggrieved look on his face.

After punching the man's head which was as thick as a brick wall, Emma gave a pitying look to Matthew

Matthew on the other hand left for the toilet after hearing Hannah's words which extinguished he's last piece of hope.

Hannah definitely wouldn't trust Matthew who caused "her" greatest tragedy, though in his defense, never had he ever once thought that the female lead would experiment on Hannah.

The other two were a different story, Hannah had never seen them after the apocalypse broke out. So, whether they were trustworthy or not wasn't really clarified.

But seeing their innocent selves trying to not make things awkward for her, they seemed like fine people, let's just hope it wouldn't change.

What Hannah didn't know was that he'd went there to contemplate about life seeing the girl he loved for so many years admit she loved someone else.he was experiencing a great deal of disappointment and shock. But that only made him more determind to make Hannah fall for him.

The lack of trauma kind of disappointed Hannah for some reason. (it's because he left for toilet that she couldn't see his reaction)

Knowing and preparing for the apocalypse by yourself is good and all, but what can 1 person do by himself/herself. Especially since her parents are a little over their prime. So, she really needs all the help she can get, better yet from people whom she can ...trust.

Another problem now was, now that she's pretty certain that oleo, Emma and Matthew, for now, are decent people, she now has to think of a way to make them gather survival supplies without suspicion.

'survival..survival, Wait! That's it!

"Guys wanna go to a month-long camp? we could really use the break right? Let's go camp in 6 days, rent a mobile RV, buy a lot of gas and food, some tents as well."

Emma " Well we could take a little time off to bond, seeing that's it's been so long since we've last met"

Matthew" It's a great suggestion"

Eleo" Sorry, guys I might not be able t-"

Emma menacingly stares at Eleo " To what?"

Knowing that was the signal before the great storm of 2019 Eleo " I mean I might not have enough toothpaste at home so I'll need one you guys to help me buy it"

Xiao bai " Horrible save"

Eleo blushes " I'm a man"

Emma " well on the outside it's certainly debatable"

After having a quick chat with her friends it's been decided that Matthew and Eleo would be in charge of survival tools, Hannah would be in charge of renting the RV and getting food after being so persistent, Emma would be in charge of getting enough Fuel.

After having a nice comfortable chat with everyone, Hannah begins Buying her list of items, as well as a few extra things. (she accidentally bought a shovel for some reason too)
