Chapter 38 - Revenge 37: The Traitor from the Past

Name:REBORN: Revenge Author:C_J_Taganna
"Well? What are we gonna do about those b**tards?" Mary asked seriously. As time passes she gets more and more impatient. The culprit is too quiet after their last action against her and she didn't like that one bit.

"I've been trying these past few days and nothing," Leonardo said plainly as he sat comfortably in a chair with his arms cross.

"Tsk! Are you getting rusty now?" Leonardo just scoffs at Mary. How dare she claim that he's getting rusty, his skill in getting information and hacking through all what's necessary in order to get what they want is unbeatable. There's no way that he can be beaten by anyone else, there are only three people who he acknowledges it was only Mary and her husband for god knows where and that traitor who extremely made Mary wreaked havoc for the first time in the past.

Since there are only three people that he acknowledges he then thought of that traitor. "Could that traitor be the one who's blocking me out?" Mary looked at Leonardo seriously, she knows who's that 'traitor' is. The 'traitor' who she treated the same way as Leonardo and trusted very deeply.

Mentioning that guy has always been a taboo between the two of them and only the two of them knows who's that 'traitor' is, but right now Mary would not get angry at Leonardo for mentioning that person after all Leonardo might be right. That person holds a grudge against Mary and Leonardo and they both don't know what kind of a grudge is it. They were only shocked when that person suddenly betrayed them out of nowhere.

"It's possible. After all, even though he has skills like yours he still needs a strong group of people to back him." What Mary said is true when it comes to that person, he needs someone to back him up in order to achieve his goal. "Whether it's him or not, let's stop for now and wait for them."

Leonardo just silently agree to Mary, thinking that it might be possible that if that guy might be part in all this it's better to wait for them to make their move just in case and of course Mary is not just gonna idly sit in her throne and wait she's going to prepare everything that needs to be done.

While Mary and Leonardo are talking for their future advances someone has been sneakily listening to them and that someone is Aaron. Earlier he was just passing by but when he heard Leonardo's voice inside and asked his mother why is she crying again he suddenly got curious and peek at the tiny gap since the door is not completely closed.

From what he heard the issue from the kidnapping incident is not yet have come to a close which is really surprising to him since he knows what kind of power her mother holds and what kind of people that surrounds her, so he thought that his mother has already dealt with the kidnapping issue.

Hearing all this he felt that he shouldn't eavesdrop on their conversation any longer or he might get in trouble if he doesn't leave fast. On his way to his sister's side, Aaron had a solemn look on his way and noticed it right away when he got near.

"What's the matter?" She asks softly.

Hearing Anna's question Nathalia and the others look at his direction. Aaron heaved a sigh and told them what he heard. "....That's what I heard."

"You do know that eavesdropping on someone else's conversation is very rude," Josh said with his left brow slanted upwards. Aaron knows this kind of manner very well but he couldn't help it especially at the part when he heard from Leonardo's mouth that his mother was crying. It's was just so unnatural for his mother to cry but then again everyone on this planet knows how to cry whether they show it or not, they all have their own reasons to cry, but on her mother's case, he doesn't know what made his mother cry. Seeing his own sister for the first time in his grandfather's part and seeing his mother cry for the first time earlier he then found out that their tears are one of his weakness and he doesn't want to see them crying.

"I know, but then again that issue involves the five of us. Don't you think that we should at least know about their problem? Besides, since your parents know my mom then the three of you must know that your parents are part of my mom's secret organization in the underworld." At the first two sentences the trio understands Aaron's point of view but when he said the last sentence they got lost.

'Underworld?'

'Secret organization?'

'Our parents?'

Those were the questions pop in their minds. Anna and Aaron notice their confused looks and that also confuses the twins. "You guys don't know anything about it?"

"Uhh..." That's the only sound Zen can make since he really doesn't know what the twins were talking about.

"Could you explain it to us since we don't know what you're talking about," Nathalia said. She is actually quite curious since the way that Anna and Aaron said it made it that they were not making things up.

Anna felt that his brother said something that he shouldn't have said to the three of them. If they didn't know then that means their parents doesn't want their children to get involved in the deeper dark side of the world they knew. Anna noticed that her brother was about to say something so she immediately cut him off, "I think it's better if you ask your parents instead. I mean it's better to hear it from someone who's directly involved in it right?"

Aaron heard this and doesn't have any reason to not to disagree with Anna. He also thinks that it's better to hear it from someone who's directly involved in the organization, if he were to say it he's afraid that he might say something that should not be said so it's better to agree on his sister.
