The game started for a while now, and every player from each team are sweating very badly; just by looking at them, one can tell how tough the game is.
"I think I should cook for my brother after this game, it's a good idea, right, mother?" Anna thinks that whether her brother's team wins this or not, she would cook something delicious for her brother. It's the only way to reward her brother's hard work.
"Honey, I think you should leave the cooking to me." Mary forced a smile and patted her daughter's head. She knows that her daughter has been enhancing her cooking skill; her daughter's cooking is edible, but Mary thinks that it would be better if she cooks instead of her daughter.
Seeing that forced smile on her mother's face, Anna doesn't know whether to feel disappointed or what. She knows that her cooking is not comparable to her mother's cooking, but can her mother must not make it so obvious?
Anna pouted and said, "Fine. I'll let you do it." Though she is not going to be the one cooking for her brother, Anna would still let her mother cook because her brother deserves something delicious to eat.
As mother and daughter pair are talking on what kind of food they will be serving for Aaron, Arion listened and smiled inwardly. He suddenly misses his wife's cooking. Oh, how he wishes to be able to taste his wife's cooking once again. And based on their conversation, it looks like his daughter is now learning how to cook. Now more than anything, he wants to go back to his family and get a taste of his daughter and wife's cooking.
Arion wanted to listen more to their conversation, but the person behind him suddenly shouted, "Josh! Focus on the game, you brat! Don't let your mother's cheers for you goes for nothing!" Mike said in a very loud voice that made Josh groaned at him. Can his dad not say that out loud?
Is his father here to support him or to support his mother? Which one is it?
Seeing the frown Josh is making, Agatha, Josh's mother smack the head of Mike and said, "What is wrong with you?! Can't you see that our son is doing his best? Don't distract him with your nonsense!"
Arion who saw that almost laughed out loud; Mike might be scary and tough in front of others even on his son, but when it comes to his wife, he is very weak and is like an obedient dog following its every order.
"Doing his best? Look at him. When I was at his age, I'm more skilled and more focus..."
Before Mike can even finish his sentence, Agatha once again smacked his head, "Don't you dare compare our son to your self! Hmph! Our son is his own person, he is what he is!" Agatha is grateful for the fact that her baby Josh is nothing like her husband if her son would turn out like his father in the future it might make Agatha's heartbroken.
"Agatha, don't be so harsh on your husband. If you keep doing that, Mike might become pathetic in the future." Andrea said as she held her laughter back. It is so satisfying for her to see Mike getting beat up. Andrea always wanted to beat the crap out of Mike because he annoyed her too much. But she wasn't able to do that because she knows that she won't be able to win against him.
"Hmph! He deserved that. The only good thing he had done is giving me a son like my baby Josh." Even though Agatha said this, she still loves her husband very much. It's just that her love for her son exceed more than she loves Mike.
Mike was left speechless and Andrea couldn't handle it anymore and laughed out loud.
Meanwhile, at the court where the game is happening, Josh was again teased by the vice-captain of the team, "Baby Josh, your mommy is defending you from your mean daddy. Oh, how sweet."
"Shut up, Ike and focus on the game in front of you." From where Josh's parents are sitting, Josh could hear clearly what they are talking about, and he couldn't be more embarrassed from his parents' conversation.
"Oh, baby Josh is embarrassed." Ike knows that he should be focusing on the game instead of teasing Josh, but he couldn't help it, teasing people like Josh is too satisfying that he sometimes overlook the important things.
"I will strangle you to death if you don't stop." Josh warningly said to Ike.
While Josh is threatening Ike, the people who are currently sitting on the sideline couldn't help but sigh. "Coach, those two..." One of the members of the team doesn't know what to say to comfort his coach Jackson.
Coach Jackson looks so distressed as he watches Josh and Ike talking instead of focusing on the game that is in front of them.
"How can they act like that when something is happening around them?" Jackson knows that he is already prepared to lose as long his team is having fun playing, but he is not ready to lose if his team is not even trying to play.
Shaking in frustration, Jackson readied himself and said very loudly, "You idiots! What do you two think you're doing right now? Get your head on the game!" For all the years of coaching on a High School basketball game, this is the first time Jackson is witnessing such a scene. 'Is this supposed to be a comedy act?'
Any more of these acts from these brats, Jackson thinks that he might go crazy from the headaches they are giving him.
Josh and Ike flinched from the sudden reminder from their coach. Ike looks back at coach Jackson and raised a thumbs up, "Don't worry, coach! Our attention is still on the game." The way Ike said this is not making Jackson feel assured.
Jackson sat on his chair dispiritedly, "I can't... I don't care anymore." Jackson murmured.
