"That crazy b*tch is back?" Zen does not want to believe what Nathalia just sad, but looking at her crying like that, Zen has no choice but to believe her words.
The incident back then is starting to surface in Zen's mind. The unpleasant memories that he thought he never would have to think back again are starting to appear in his mind one by one. He and Josh are not the victim of that incident, but it sure does affect them both greatly.
That incident cause Nathalia to have trauma. For six months, Nathalia did not speak to anyone; she ate properly, able to go to school properly, but she never spoke to anyone and the brightness on her eyes turned gloomy.
At that time, Leonardo and Crona felt their hearts breaking into pieces seeing their daughter looking so lifeless. For the first time in his life, Leonardo felt that he was so useless; he could help Mary and the others do things that other people think is impossible to do, but as for his daughter, he could not even able to help his daughter remove such trauma.
As for Josh and Zen, they frequently visited Nathalia, inviting her to have some fun with them, but Nathalia only rejected them, lifelessly.
With the endless support of the people who care for her, Nathalia recovered; she was back to her normal happy self. But now, the person who causes Nathalia to have such trauma is back. Nathalia, who thought that she had forgotten everything is starting to remember every memory that she buried deep in her mind.
"She sure has some guts showing herself." Josh said in a cold tone of voice, "You should have let uncle Leo kill that crazy b*tch." Nathalia is smart, and Josh knows that, but there are some decisions that Nathalia makes is making Josh feel upset with her. Like the decision, she made: asking her father not to kill the person who causes her so much pain.
Leonardo was hesitant to agree to his daughter's request, but ultimately Leonardo complied. He can't bear to see his precious princess crying too much. But he did tell Nathalia that if that person tries to hurt her again, Leonardo will not hesitate anymore and go for the kill.
Sobbing in Josh's arms, Nathalia replied, "I, I know... that was so stupid of me."
When Nathalia requested that to her father, she was not in the right mindset. She thought that if her father kills that person, bad dreams will start to hunt her down. Now that she thinks about it now, she thought that she was so stupid back then; she should have let her father kill that person.
Her wrong decision back then is now hunting her.
"Good thing that you know," Zen said sarcastically, and Josh glared at him for acting like a jerk.
"Can you not act like that, Zen? Can't you see that acting like a jerk right now is bad timing?" Josh understands why Zen is acting like that, but Zen should have known that his timing of being like a jerk is not appropriate in this situation. "Instead of acting like that, you should at least comfort Nathalia."
Not heeding Josh's remarks, Zen scoffs. "Comfort her? You are already doing that job. Even though I am acting like a jerk, you know very well that I care for her too; one of us should at least point out Nathalia's mistakes. If both of us are comforting her, then she will have to depend on both of us. She needs to toughen her self up, after all, we are not always by her side to protect her from that crazy b*tch, just like earlier."
To some people, Zen may look like he only knows how to have fun and goof around, but those people have no idea that Zen has this serious side of him, and if by any chance that they see Zen being serious and all, they would be in shock.
Even Josh was in shock the first time he saw Zen being deadly serious. Zen can ruthless to anyone when he is serious. At this moment, Josh knows that Zen is deadly serious and what he said makes a good point.
He and Zen will not always be there for Nathalia whenever she faces that person. Nathalia doesn't need to strengthen her physical strength, what she really needs is for mentality to be strong. That person knows that Nathalia would not be able to protect herself if Nathalia is not mentally prepared.
"You could—"
Before Josh could even finish his words, Nathalia interrupted him "Josh, Zen is right. I can't always run to you guys like this." One of the things that Nathalia is so grateful for is that she had friends that will make her realize things that she is not sure of.
"See. She understands." Zen is relieved that Nathalia understands what he is pointing out. "You're too soft on her, Josh." With Josh and Nathalia knows that he is right, Zen somehow felt proud of himself. Usually, he would be the one comforting Nathalia and Josh would be the one who would make a valid point, but now the roles have changed.
Josh took a glance at Zen and saw that he is making a smug smile, "Don't get big-headed now Zen. It's only a one time deal, there will be no more next time."
"Hey! Don't ruin my limelight!" Zen was still feeling good about himself, but Josh ruined his mood in just one remark. 'Killjoy!'
Nathalia slightly chuckled when she heard their remarks to each other, 'It's never a dull moment with you guys.' She inwardly said.
Minutes later, Josh felt that Nathalia's weight in his arms suddenly got heavier. Looking at her, he saw that she fell asleep. 'It must be because of her crying too much.'
Josh carefully place Nathalia on the bed. After placing her on the bed, Josh gestured Zen that they should quietly get out of Nathalia's room. Zen nodded, the followed Josh out.
After coming down the stairs the first people Zen and Josh sees are Leonard and Crona's worried faces. "Zen, Josh, what happened to Nathalia?" Crona asked worriedly.
Not wanting to hide anything towards Nathalia's parents, Zen and Josh told them everything.
