"Yes. That man is our target." Aaron replied confirming his sister's doubts about their target. But for some reason, something was odd by how Anna asked him. "Why do you sound like you're very disappointed?" He asked.
"Of course, I am disappointed; I mean look at that guy, he's ugly and fat." Anna wonders why would most of the bad guys look like that. She does not mean to discriminate against someone's looks, but she can not help it. She is only human; everybody judges a person whether it is on purpose or not.
"Wow. I did not expect the heiress of the Coleman family is like this." Ophius said in an amused tone of voice. Every time Lucia mentioned Anna, it always has a good description. So he thought that Anna is not the type of person who would say something like that.
Anna looks at him and then awkwardly said, "I've been wondering for a while now, who are you again?" They have been together since earlier, but Anna has no idea who he is. She only knows his name because of her brother and Lucia calling him out; other than that, Anna has no other information about him.
The smile on Ophius face suddenly froze, while Aaron and Lucia are holding their laughter back. Ophius has been so friendly towards Anna yet, Anna has no clue about his identity. 'Was I invisible in her eyes?'
"I mean, I know your name, but I—" Anna tried to explain herself, but she was stopped by Ophius.
"Say no more! I can't bear to hear you say such painful words." Ophius said; acting like he is in deep pain because of Anna not knowing his existence until now. He truly can not blame Anna though because, on the day of the game, he and Anna did not have the chance to properly meet each other.
Earlier, he suddenly appeared in front of her not introducing himself; he showed up and pestered Aaron to let him come along.
Aaron looks at his sister and noticed that she is feeling guilty towards Ophius. He leaned forward then whispered in his sister's ears, "Don't worry, he is not in pain like he said he is." Aaron reassured his sister that there is nothing for her to worry about because he knows that Ophius is only acting like that based on his playful personality.
Hearing that from her brother, the guilt that she felt for Ophius earlier is now gone. Her brother then whispered to her what is Ophius' real identity, "He is the son of the Cloris family; his father is one of the important members in the organization. It is okay if you have no idea who he is, after all, you just starting to get to know the current members in the organization."
What her brother just said is true, for now, it is okay for her not to know every future successor inside the organization because she just recently joined. But when years have passed by, and she still has no idea about the other important members, then she will be labeled as an arrogant person who thinks highly of herself.
The world that the organization is in is a scary place, and if she keeps on acting like she doesn't know anything or acting like an arrogant person; it is guaranteed that she will have a hard time surviving in such a harsh world.
Noticing that their target stood up and is going to walk away, Aaron and Ophius are about to follow the man, but they halted, then turn their gaze towards the two girls still sitting. "You guys are just gonna sit there and do nothing?" Ophius asked with a frown.
"You expect us girls do the heavy lifting?" Lucia answered with a question in return. "You guys do what you have to do, Anna and I will be waiting there." She said pointing out the empty room.
Without anything else to say, Anna and Lucia started to walk their way towards the empty room. Aaron and Ophius were left all alone in their original spot.
"So, we do the work and they do nothing? Where's the justice in that." After sharing his complaint with Aaron, they both hurried their pace and catch up to their target.
The man had consumed too much alcohol that he could not even stand straight or walk properly. He kept bumping into other people, but those did not throw a fit on him. Normally, these gangsters would not let anyone go unscratched if someone bumps into them, but since this tipsy man is the one bumping into them, they let him go as if nothing happened.
The only reason why they are tolerant of that guy is because of the people that guy is working for. They are afraid that the guy would go and run to the higher-ups he works for; those higher-ups are not some people these gangsters can handle. The last time someone actually hit that guy, the very next day that someone was shot in the head in front of everyone else.
"Wow, they sure are a bunch of cowards," Ophius muttered, but Aaron heard it loud and clear.
"They only act like that because that person has a higher standing. Between us and these gangsters? These gangsters are just a lowly fly that we can step on in just one move," Aaron said. In actuality, Aaron doesn't like gangsters because these gangsters target people who are not related to any gangster stuff. They act like they are own everything when they could not even fight off someone like that fat guy.
The only gangsters that he ever liked are his mother's gang members. They did not do what other lowly gangsters do; this is why Aaron admires his mother the most. His mother knows what is the wrongs and the rights.
Aaron and Ophius went in front of the fat man, and with a mischievous thought, Ophius placed his foot forward and the man stumble on his feet, then eventually, landed on the ground with a loud thud.
Ophius laughs out loud, and said, "Dude, did you just see that? Hahaha! His flesh wobbled when his body landed on the ground."
Aaron saw that too, and he also wanted to laugh alongside Ophius, but he has to keep a straight face in order to ruin his so-called cool image. 'This is torture.'
