"Lannie, I don't really know what game you are playing, but I really want to go home now." Aaron is pretty much bored staying with Lannie. He wants to leave the mall as quickly as possible now because people that he and Lannie are passing by are looking at their hands that are handcuffed together.
Those people who were passing by them are starting to whisper towards each other. They have recognizes their identity. "Oh, my, those two are..." Said the woman on the sideline.
"Shhh! Don't even dare say their names. Don't you know that their family does not tolerate anyone who angers their children?" The woman's companion warned her not utter another word. She warned her not to gossip about the two high ranking families when those two high ranking families are around.
Even though those two women are whispering to each other, Lannie and Aaron could hear them loud and clear. "Tsk! Whether they gossip in front of us or behind our backs, the result will be the same, our face will be on the news tomorrow." Lannie scoffed at the thought that some people have nothing better to do in their lives.
They only know how to criticize, make stories, and other kinds of controversy that could ruin the image of some popular people. If it is a gossip without anything that could ruin someone's image, then she might not hate them like she is hating them now, but the world has to have those people whether she likes it or not.
"You already know that, but you still did this kind of crazy scheme," Aaron said referring to the handcuffs on their hands. With just him and Lannie together will be on an article by later or by tomorrow. But with the handcuffs? It will on the news for quite a few days.
If they have to blame someone, then they would blame their family's reputation. Aaron did not ask to be born in a rich family, it just happened that he has the blood Coleman family flowing through his veins. Famous rich families, celebrities, and et cetera will always be targeted by some articles that can be either be good or bad for someone's reputation.
Even though he did not wish to be born rich, Aaron doesn't hate the fact that he part of the famous Coleman family because a harmonious family is what all that matters.
"I know that, but you being here means that I am doing someone a favor, and that favor will do me good in the future." Lannie already told her brother that if Aaron stays at the Coleman mansion while he is visiting Anna, then it is obvious that Aaron will get in the way. After all, Aaron hasn't fully given Kyle his blessing.
With Kyle's sister reminding him that, Lannie suggested that she will get Aaron out of the Coleman mansion, and of course, Kyle accept that suggestion without any hesitation. In conclusion in all this is the result of the situation Lannie is in now with Aaron.
Aaron frowned before replying to Lannie, "What does that 'favor' has to do with me?" Aaron dug deeper on his memory, trying to figure out what connection does he have with the person Lannie is talking about. The only thing that he is sure of is the fact him leaving the mansion is connected to Lannie's scheme.
Seeing that Aaron is trying to connect the dots, Lannie suddenly felt nervous. She yanked Aaron and said, "Come on! Don't think about it! All is good!" Lannie looks around trying to find a way for Aaron to get distracted.
As she is looking around, she saw an ice cream store, and a smirk appeared on her face. If there is one thing that she knows best about the twins, then that would be the twins' liking about ice creams. "Let's go eat ice cream!"
Without giving Aaron the chance to speak, Lannie already pulled him towards the store.
The two of them look at the menu, and it seems like Lannie's plan to distract Aaron is working as he is deeply thinking about what kind of ice cream should he get.
'Geez! Despite their faces, these twins are so similar to each other!' Everyone in their group of friends knows that if they want the twins to do something all they have to do is offer them something delicious. The only difference is that Anna likes everything that is delicious, while Aaron likes sweets.
When Lannie finally got her ice cream, her phone vibrated. Without wasting any more seconds, Lannie took out her phone, then read the message that was sent from her brother. As she is reading it, a smile is slowly appearing on her face.
After reading it, Lannie took out the handcuffs key and freed herself and Aaron. 'Finally! Next time, I won't be doing this scheme ever again! Brother should handle this himself.' Lannie silently declared. Aaron is too much for her to handle alone, the only way for her to tame Aaron is when she offered him, sweets.
Aaron was surprised when Lannie took the handcuffs off of them both. He actually expected that she will take them off later, but he's happy that he is finally free from Lannie.
Just to make sure that there are no strings, Aaron asks Lannie, "This means that I can go home now, right?"
"Seriously? Do you really have to make it sound like I have something else in mind after freeing our hands?" Lannie said with a hint of disbelief in her tone. They way Lannie is hearing it, Aaron is making it sound like she is keeping him hostage.
"Hey, you kept me here in this mall all day long, you can't blame me if I think that way." In Aaron's point of view, Lannie has no right to say something about him accusing her like that. After all, she is the reason why he is still at the mall walking around, following her all around.
Lannie stayed silent, she couldn't refute any of Aaron's words. It is her fault that Aaron is still at the mall when he is already tired, but she can't take all the blame, right?!
